Another week, another progress update!

As some of you may have noticed I was able to release the first My New Family 2 beta yesterday. Currently it's available for $15 and higher tier supporters. $5 and higher tier supporters will get access this week, most likely on friday!

The first beta will show all the gingers + their tenants, like I mentioned. You will get to know their names ( I changed the Name of Alice's tenant , just fyi ) and how they look and a short insight into their personality. I think I was able to give them all a little of every ginger. The twins have a lot of Sandy in them, but especially Rose shows some tendencies to Lucy and even Maddie. Lucys tenant has a lot of her old personality, the shy insecure cute one you just want to protect. And Alices tenant is... Well, a very hyperactive ginger! Like I said a few times now, I will slowly introduce the new tenants, not all of them at once and I will make sure that all of them get their proper time with the MC so you get to know them. So far the feedback has been great and the looks of the girls in HS2 seems to be a hit ( though I'm not really happy with Lucy and Alice look, but that is mainly a lighting issue, the renders were a little too bright. )

With the first beta released this means I will fully transition into my usual work routine again and I expect the full release in the timespan of ~2 months, if things keep going how they are going right now. I still have a lot to do and write and of course I also have to make some more characters - Next up is going to be the blonde troublemakers, Mary, Maddie and of course their tenants. I'm going to make sure that each one of them will be recognisable, even though they look very different.

I also started to make the first renders for Chapter 4 of My New Memories and a beta for that will also become available sooner than later. This means that you guys get to play a lot in the upcoming weeks and I hope this will bring me into my regular release schedule again. The one release per year thing really took a toll on me and I'm sad that since the release of My New Memories: The Beginning nothing "new" has come out ( besides the short Chapter 4 snippet ). I will do my best to improve on that again!

Thank you so much for all the new supporters, by the way. It means the world to me that you guys are still excited for new and upcoming releases from me so seeing the support made me a little emotional. If anything new comes up I'll let you guys know. Until then, stay awesome!

Another week, another progress update!

As some of you may have noticed, I wasn't able to release the first beta for My New Family 2. Last week ( exactly 7 days ago ) I was starting to feel a little sick again and then I got hit full force with the man flu... Again. It kinda knocked me out harder than I thought so I wasn't really able to work as much as I wanted. But I'm recovering already and I'm back to working more, so this weekend it should work, I'm pretty confident. If you were a supporter last week and your supporting time ran out, send me a DM as soon as I release the demo so I can provide you the link. Just because I got sick doesn't mean that you should be left out!

I decided to rewrite the things you know from the demo quite a lot, so the event you experienced there won't be in the final game. I also decided to make the recap, where the MC tells Daisy ( one of the twin tenants ) how he ended up with all his wives and tenants, a little more fleshed out. So even if you remember everything that has happened in My New Family 1, it might be worth to check it out, since you will get a lot of small dialogues between the MC and everyone else around. Oh, and you get to see some of the old My New Family 1 renders where the MC won't get lazy to point out how different everything looks now. A little side jab because of the change to Honey Select 2 and stuff. After the morning talk and the recap the day will progress normally, with all the gingers showing up one by one to spend some time with the MC. That includes Lucy and Alice + their tenants, of course! And I'm sure most of you guys are excited to see how the tenant Lucy has turned out...Just like I am to see your reactions!

I also worked some more on preparing renders for Chapter 4 of My New Memories, with setting up scenes like the hospital one. It's basically just me loading up the environment, setting the ambient lights and then adding the characters. Since I wrote more than 60% of the script already, I can basically release two betas once the renders are done. No ETA for that yet, but it will be sooner than later. I want to give you guys access to the next Chapter of My New Memories as soon as possible. And no, I didn't forget about the prequel, but MNF2 and the main game take priority at the moment!

And I think thats it for now, people. Nothing new to report regarding my case but with the temporary characters all done, I'm not too impatient anymore when it comes to this. Like I said, once I have my stuff back it's going to be very easy to just re-render the scenes anyway. If anything comes up I'll let you guys know, though. Until then, stay awesome!

Another week, another progress update!

I finally finished up all the gingers + their tenants for the first beta of My New Family 2. So you will have Sandra + the twins ( that you already know through the demo ), Lucy + her Tenant and then Alice + her Tenant. They will look different compared to their originals in My New Family ( especially Alice , but she is still super cute ), but I think that is a good compromise to have all the new stuff available in Honey Select 2 available. I initially tried to make them look like their originals but I think that was the wrong mindset again. It's not really possible in Honey Select 2 and if I try, they will just look... Weird? So I rather make them ressemble them in a way, so you immediately know when you read the name "Oh, thats Lucy". I think it kinda worked with Sandra and I'm confident it will work with the others as well. Still, I'm always open to feedback regarding the choice of Honey Select 2. I guess the biggest testing point will be Lucy, since she is the fan favorite.

Like I mentioned last week the first beta will evolve around the gingers and their tenants. You will get to interact with all of them and get a feel for their personality. I'm doing my best to make them different again, like I did in My New Family 1 with the old girls, but you'll probably also notice some character traits that you remember from someone like Mary, Becca or Elaine. I mean, it makes sense, right? The household is pretty big and they're a very, very close one as well. I'm super nervous how you'll react to Lucys and Mcs tenant because I know a lot of you have been speculating on how she might look. The few people that I showed her to already were blown away by how cute she is and I hope you people will feel the same! I'm still aiming for a release this weekend for $15 and higher tier supporters, with $5 and higher tier supporters following the weekend after ( so you all can get to play in March ). I will keep you guys posted on how it's going.

And I think thats it for now. The latest progress updates have all been for My New Family 2 and I didn't really talk about My New Memories / My New Memories: The Beginning that much, but rest assured, I'm working on both of them like usual! I'm still aiming to get a first playable beta for Chapter 4 out sooner than later with the temporary characters. I'm more motivated than ever after the great feedback on the MNF2 demo so I'll do my best to increase my working speed to my "old self" again. If I hear anything worth sharing I'll let you guys know, until then, stay awesome!

Another month, another week, another progress update!

As some of you may have noticed the My New Family 2 demo is available for everyone to test. So far the feedback has been really positive and I'm kinda relieved because of that that. I wasn't sure if you guys would end up liking Honey Select 2 and how different Sandra looks but the overall feedback was very positive. Thank you for that. This now means that I will finish up the other gingers ( Lucy and her tennant are already done, but no spoiler or teaser for that so only Alice and her tennant are left ). The first beta will release soon, 100% this month, my guess is maybe next weekend already. This beta will contain the event of the demo ( since a lot of you guys mentioned its a good way for people to get the My New Family 1 recap during the morning talk with daisy ), but you will also get some more fun stuff with Sandra, Lucy and Alice ( + tennants... God, you cant imagine how much I hate writing it like that ). You will notice something very unique with the tenannt that the MC has with Lucy and I'm sure you guys will like that! And don't forget, My New Family was always about all different kind of girls. You have the big booba and the small booba and the very small/big booba. So before you judge someone like Rose for having rather big boobs, wait for the other girls!

The first beta will be available for $15 and higher tier supporters first, so just like "in the old days" where the $5 and higher supporters will get access a few days later. I'm not going to make it like I did with MNF back in the day and wait till beta 2 for the $5 and higher tier supporters. I want more feedback faster, I guess. The beta will be a good bit longer than the demo, but not as long as a MNM or MNM: The Beginning beta, if you remember those. But you will get to meet all of the gingers there.Becca, Mary, Maddie, Elaine, Fiona will show up in beta 2 most likely. I want to take it a little "slower" and not flood the first release with all new characters at once. I think thats the best way of slowly but surely introducing all the tennants.

Another week, another progress update

As some of you may have noticed I was able to release the first playable demo for My New Family 2. This demo is currently available for $5 and higher tier supporters and will release for everyone this week. Like I said in last weeks post, this is more of a vibe check and so far the feedback from people that played it is more positive than anything else. People seem to like where the game is going visually and the different look of Sandra seems to be widely accepted. Feedback regarding the twin tennants was super positve and people love their different personalities. You can check them out yourself this week, most likely on wednesday and if the feedback stays like that, full work on My New Family 2 will begin!

While I will work on My New Family 2 I will also start making renders for My New Memories Chapter 4 with the TEMPORARY characters I made. Once I got a proper overview on how long it'll take to get the first beta ready for you guys I'll let you know. The beta will most likely contain one and a half days, so the evening with Anna in the hospital + the morning, where you're going to meet Karla and the twins as well. I will make sure to give you guys some proper time to adjust to the temporary models but I think it will work out, especially once you find out how the story continues and how the relationships will develop.

Another week, another progress update!

I've been steadily working away on the script for the first My New Family 2 demo and I'm more or less done with it. If I had to describe in modern words what this demo will be I'd say it's a "vibe check". Currently it feels like a regular morning in My New Family 1, just with two new additions to the cast. Like I said in previous posts, it will be Sandra and the new twin tennants, which you will both get to meet. This is in no way a representation on how My New Family 2 will start and is more of a thing for people to try out that already played My New Family 1 ( there will be a disclaimer in the beginning warning you that the demo wont make any sense without knowledge regarding MNF1 ). I will do my best to roll the demo out for all $5 and higher tier supporters this week, with the public release following the week after ( I will post the download links directly here on Subscribestar for you to get ). Delays can happen, but it will 100% release this month. Demo length is around 15-20 minutes, depending on your reading speed, I'd say. Remember that the girls will look very different because I'm going to use Honey Select 2 for the first time, so the "vibe check" will also be for rendering. If most of you hate HS2 and the new models I can always go back to HS1 anyway.

While I was writing for MNF2 I was also looking into more details regarding the first playable beta for Chapter 4. I think working on both things at the same time ( MNF2 and Chapter 4 of My New Memories ) can work out, since I've already completed a lot of the script for Chapter 4 and just have to prepare the scenes for rendering. With all of the main cast temporary remakes done, it's just a matter of preparing all the scenes again. A few things you have to remember is that the house will look a little different - The changes I made to it in Chapter 3 won't be there, for example. But I don't think that's going to be an issue. The focus will be on Story and Characters and I think that will work out - And if not, you guys can always share that feedback once you played the first Chapter 4 beta. But from what I gathered so far, most of you are not just in it for the models and the temporary replacements are good enough.
