we're getting there. The plan is still to release at the end of the month, with a slight possibility of a day or two later. If it does come to that, I'll make sure everyone who's a Subscriber today will have access, but I hope that won't be necessary.
I don't think I'm going to post an 'official announcement' with a date and time a week in advance, like I've done previously, but will simply tell you when the update is available.
A few words about Release 6:
It's easily the largest I've made, both word and image count. Those words and images are divided over the three paths, which are entirely unique for this release. That means that you should seriously do me and yourself a favor and play more than one if you don't do this already. I understand that some of you are fairly allergic to playing either dominant or submissive respectively, but the neutral path should be suitable for just about anyone.
Which doesn't mean it's a lesser path by the way. There always seems to be a degree of confusion about this, like the neutral path is just a transitional thing between the 'real' ones. It's not true, it's as important and fleshed out as the others.
In my mind, the game is a single unit anyway.
Which brings me to something else: I can't make all paths at the same time and at about the same length, and then also give each one the same kind of content and pacing. I've talked before about how difficult it is to try to end updates on a dramatic high, when in the long run, an update is just a random chunk of a larger game. That's even more pronounced when I can't add another scene or two at the end without also having to add a similar amount of content to the other paths. Long story short, the individual endpoints of this update are dictated mostly by length, less by drama. It won't matter one bit in the long run, but I assume it can make the temporary end feel less satisfying.
It's similar for content. I was tempted to give every path the same quantity and intensity of erotic content, but it doesn't make sense to force different stories into the same mold, so fuck it. They're all unique and it will all even out in the end.
Since this is a public post: If you aren't a Subscriber yet, then you should consider changing that if you like the game. I have made everything as simple and generous as it gets, without bullshit special editions, staggered release dates or any of the other stuff people come up with. Everyone gets everything at the same time. I've even added permanent benefits independent of continuing support that you can access on Discord
. None of that means anything though, unless more of you step up and support development.
All the best,
