It's been a long journey, but I think I am finally finished, my first game First Date is ready for the public!

Disclaimer
I want to set expectation right now, this is my first time using Ren'py, Daz Studio or even just writing a story please don't expect a masterpiece here. I tried my hardest, but I am very new to this, it was a complete solo effort writing, rendering, proofreading, everything I know I made mistakes along the way.

This game was build and tested for Windows 10, There are also Linux and MacOS versions, but I don't know how well they work.

About the Game
First Date
is a short story about a guy who returns to his hometown on a business trip while in town you meet a shy girl named sam you setup a date where things quickly become hot and heavy.

The game Features about 1000 lines of dialogue, 2000 Renders and some 50+ animations


Sexual Content
This game is 18+ an adult 'story' that features sex and nudity and is not suitable for minors  
This game features a love interest who is either Female or a 'Dickgirl'

Billing Paused, but Still Development Continues as usual


Short Answer: As you may have noticed I've turned the page on to Vacation mode this should mean you are not being billed, anymore but despite being called "Vacation Mode" I am still working on the game same as always I just don't feel comfortable taking anyone's money for a while.

Long Answer: I originally created my SubscribeStar page mostly as a free blog where I could host my games and share development as I make them, the idea of donations was secondary. Then I released First Date and the support was way more than I could have expected, and I am forever grateful for the support, however I always feel I am letting you guys down not offering nearly enough in return, and as the end of each month draws near my nerves over this give me really bothersome stomach aches. So it makes it right, I've paused the payments If I understand the feature it should allow the tiers to still access anything I post, but you won't be charged. I am still going to be working on the game in all of my spare time, nothing is changing on that side. 

But I am spending very little time in Daz modelling and rendering as that's mostly done for Chapter 1 and instead working on getting everything into Ren'py, so my rate of Random Lewd posts might be slower.

Development Quirk Story 


So here is a fun little quirk about Daz3d that I managed to figure out before it became an issue, but something you might find annoying like did. Daz3d has something called GeoShells which are like textures applied on top of the character's normal textures they are pretty cool and can add a lot of little details to a character, however applying these can get very temperamental, specifically if you move your character too far away from the centre of the environment.

And it actually seems like it depend on the amount/type of GeoShell as when I was making first date I was able to move Guy and Sam quite far but with this character for example it breaks pretty fast once moved from the middle.

This is lucky something I manged to figure out from a quick google search petty easily and early so it never messed up too many of my renders, but something to be aware of.

One trick for how to work around this in a very large scene where the character are moving quite far it to actually leave your character in the middle and move the surrounding map instead.

(Btw, this is not a character for Project FQ, just a mock-up for a future story idea. She was previously shown in my Halloween post dressed as Cammy)

Project FQ update 


Hello, everyone I wanted to give another update on the progress, basically renders for Chapter 1 are complete about 2900 renders (except for a few little touches up here and there) though I'm considering remaking one particular scene as it no longer matches the quality I am looking for. It's not like a sex scene or anything, so it probably should be considered low priority.

I haven't started Chapter 2 renders, a part from some basic renders, as I've decided to focus all my efforts into getting chapter 1 into a finished state first.

What that means is: getting all the renders into the game and timed with the dialogue I should have been doing this along the whole process, but I've been neglecting it and polishing up dialogue (improving flow and adding emphasis) 

Once that is done, I will evaluate what I have and if I want to release chapter 1 by itself. Or to hold off till ch2

thank you for all your patience, I am sorry I wish I would make games way faster but I'm still an amateur at all of this really.
