Hey there, peeps!

Alright!  With great thanks to my friend, Mel, I can finally access my friggin’ site, and things are getting caught up as we go!  This week I want to clean out the clean-ups!  We’re going to be working on getting those taken care of so I can open the next sign-ups for those on the Discord.  That should honestly cover the week’s obligations so I probably won’t do Sketch on the Spot this week.

However, the next week after is something special!  Three days (MWF) of Halloween doodles!  If you’re a member of the studio clubhouse, just drop in the thread when I open it and you can sign up!  They’ll be $15 per b/w, one slot per person, and I’ll be grinding them out in stream on Oct. 26/28/30.  Sign-ups open as soon as this goes up, and end at 5PM CDT on Sunday, October 25th.  So get your signups in now!

The backlog is slowly getting worked down, and we’ve taken out a fair few things this week!  With the income from the next couple of weeks, I should be able to spend the first few weeks of the Samhain season getting caught up on uploads and organizing things properly.

There’s sitework to be done, and of course, the comics and projects, so this will hopefully give me a bit of leeway heading into next season that I didn’t have this one.  I was a little ambitious, true, but things have gone as well as can be expected in all honesty.

With around eight leftovers in the backlog, however, the mountaintop is almost within reach.  From there we’re going to be and STAY current.  All commissions will be topdecked from now on except for specific exceptions or clean-ups and discounted items.

Hopefully that means by the end of the year we’ll be firmly back in the black and ready to hit the ground running by the time Yuletide comes around.

Heyo peeps!

Sorry for missing last week.  Moving into the late autumn section we’re still grinding away at things, and I’ve had a lot of meatspace stuff to deal with in the meantime, as well as a few unexpected minor expenses. (I had completely forgotten about my domain payments for ClaCos and that.  Man, these things feel more expensive every year.)  But, that is what it is, we’re still going strong without too much issue.

Now, my plans for the projects (like Various Happenings and Clara Cosmos) were perhaps a bit ambitious this season considering I still have a lot of work to make-up, but we are slowly getting there.  It’ll just be a little longer before I can focus more wholly on my comics, so while I intend to meet my goals overall, any further push will have to wait until my paid work is entirely out the door.  Hoping to get that much done before Halloween would have been optimistic even if I didn’t have a ton of a commissions sitting on my plate.  So it is what it is.

This coming week I’m going to be working on getting a few of the smaller things that have been in the back of the queue out, while also trying to polish off the character sheet and carnival sequence I’m working on.  Once those are done, I’ll move on to the NEXT character sheet and sequence I have in queue.

In the future, while I do intend to put up character sheet slots in the Bargain Bin, I don’t intend to take or frontload sequences or large commissions in the future.  If you want to see how things are going currently, go ahead and visit my commission page.  How it is there is pretty much how it’s going to be from now on.  I’ll make an infographic for the gallery sites at some point just to explain how to do it as well, but as it goes, I don’t intend to take anything that I can’t manage to get the base sketch out for in a single stream (even if it takes the whole thing.)  If you want a sequence of pics, you’ll just have to wait to get each picture done (or the edits done if you REALLY want an edit comic.)

Hopefully, it won’t be an issue, because things will be getting out at a good clip, and people won’t have to wait in line forever like they have historically, but this way I won’t have a huge weight sitting on me for the majority of the year.

If anyone on the list is tired of waiting, I do offer full refunds if you have already paid your invoice and haven’t gotten any work done on something yet.  If you don’t mind waiting, I thank you for your patience and I will message you as soon as I prepare to begin work.  If you’re wondering how things are going, feel free to message me at any time. 

The week after the week coming up (10/18), I’m going to tackle clean-ups for everyone who ordered one.  There’s like... nine or ten, and I can probably manage that in a week without too much issue.  It should also cover the cost of me not doing SotS that week.  If people have particular days (MWF) that they prefer, I’m going to be messaging people on Thursday about it, if I haven’t already talked to you.

The week after that (10/25) I haven’t decided if I want to do a bunch of Halloween themed SotS or doodle streams yet.  I’ll probably ask my SubStar members which they’d prefer

I also might have a little Growth Event coming up at some point, just for fun.  It won’t be as involved as the last one (thank goodness.)  I think got way in over my head for that and ended up balking at it, but I want to see if I can actually accomplish one and just kind of do it for fun this time around.  If people want to donate, that’s great and I appreciate it, but that’s not going to be the main purpose of it.

So we’ll see what’s happening as we dive deeper into the Spooky Month, and I hope all of you are enjoying yourselves.  Those of you down south, be safe, and for the rest of us in the States, this will hopefully be the last hurrah of warm weather for the year.

Hey peeps!

Sorry for the lack of news updates last week.  I was very exhausted and just needed some time to myself, so I took a few mental health days out of the vacation time I’ve been building up to give myself some time to decompress.

Fortunately, it seems like I’ve rejuvenated myself creatively and I’m ready to get back to hitting the canvas!

This week, we’ll be doing some clean-ups on Monday, be working on getting the next Various Happenings page done on Tuesday, hitting the backlog on Wednesday, and doing some behind the scenes things on Thursday (and hopefully relaxing) before Sketch on the Spot on Friday.

My plan for this season is to try and get out six Various Happenings updates and work towards composing all the way to the end of the chapter.  For warm-ups or side things, I’m going to be trying to compose to the end of the current Clara Cosmos episode, and see about actually making some headway on a couple of the other projects as well.  (We've also moved the Projects tab to the Studio pages, so if you're looking for an overview, that will be over there!)

We’ll also be seeing about a few Halloween doodle streams as we get closer to the end of the season.

Financially, things are improving, and I’m feeling a bit better about how things are turning out.  I still have a lot of stuff to clean-up and take care of around the house, so there might be a by-week in there somewhere when I can afford it.

But all-and-all, things are going well.  

The weather is cooling off, and I’m very much looking forward to the rest of Autumn.

Weekly Update! (2026-09-06) Wrung Out

Hey poxtibles.

Sorry for the touch and go this week and weekend. Just trying to get caught up with financial obligations and keep up with things.

Was very tired generally and couldn’t wrangle myself into working on the comic, so since my buffer is exhausted, I don’t have anything this week to post unfortunately. But that’s okay, we’ll get back on it.

I’m going to keep chipping away at my work, and trying to meet my weekly obligations, so we’ll see if I can squeeze in some time for it, and actually get some decent sleep. I was kind of fried there for a couple of weeks due to the stress of everything going on. Lot of sickness and just a traffic jam of obligations and also panic after the storms came through. We’ll get it sorted out though.

Not a lot to say otherwise. Kind of low on energy and focus, but we’ll keep it moving.

Gonna be a bit warm over the next week, then things will slooooowly start to cool off. I’m gonna stay inside until they do, though.

Weekly Update! (2026-08-30) Feeling the Squeeze

Heya poxles.

So things are trucking along pretty well, if a bit on the rough end.

Unfortunately for us, there will be some not-unexpected but rather just inconveniently timed expenses for the foreseeable future.  This means that my goal for the week is going to go up from $200 to $300, which realistically means more SotS on off days, or a series of clean-ups going along into the future.  It shouldn’t be unmanageable, it’s just another thing to nudge into an already crowded schedule.

While I had hoped to wait on that until things were finished with the backlog, it seems that I simply do not have the time or opportunity to set things aside.

To that end, while I will still be making attempts to keep up with comics on a weekly schedule, any side work will be infrequent, if at all.  I’ve still got ideas and I want to just bull into them, but I need space in my schedule to do so, even if I’m driving myself nuts.  I’ll do it where I can, but I don’t want to feel guilty for not doing it.  

I will be redoubling my efforts to finish the backlogged commissions from before the policy change, and I will be working off-stream as well as pushing to get new work in during the week.  It’s going to be rough, but the sooner the log jam is removed, the better it will be overall. 

Also, for the next few months until things are cleared out, there will be no runner-up for the monthly vote (not counting the current one).

In addition, I will not be able to take by-weeks off of streaming for a bit, either, due to needing the income from Sketch on the Spot, though there may be a by-week for the comic just to give myself a chance to rest, or perhaps I might switch from Various Happenings to The Adventures of Clara Cosmos for a bit, just to keep things fresh and to keep from getting worn out on ideas.  If I get ahead, I might take an extra day off here and there just to keep from getting overwhelmed as well.

I thank you all for your patience and understanding in what is an understandably difficult time for everyone, some of us more than others.

If you are waiting on something that you paid for, feel free to drop me a line.  Spooky that I may be now and again, I will not ghost you.  There’s just a lot going on.  If you need the money back or feel you’ve been waiting too long (and I haven’t started on your piece) then let me know and I’ll give you a full refund and get that back to you as soon as I have the funds available.

If you’ve sent me a PM via FA, IB, Newgrounds, etc., and I have not responded, it’s not because I’m trying to avoid you specifically, I just haven’t been able to push myself to go through and respond to all those messages.  I’m doing better, but... I still struggle with avoidance and it’s hard to do sometimes.

For those of you who have put in on the last form and I haven’t contacted about invoicing or with questions.  I... honestly haven’t been able to look at any of those yet.  I’m trying my best to work diligently but things are just... very messy right now.  What I would say is if you’re in the Discord, just try to nab an off-day SotS when you can (those have higher character limits), or talk to me on one of my non-streaming days and I’ll see what I can do.

If you’re not in the Discord, then I’ll do my best to get back to you as soon as I can.  I don’t know when that’s going to be, but... I’m just juggling stuff and hoping nothing hits the ground.  I appreciate the attention and hope that we can get something happening in the future.

On the up-note, I do have a new Various Happenings this week, and I have updated Hush with a few new panels as well, so check those out.  I’ll also try and have a Partners 2541 upload done by the end of this week.

Right now, there’s a lot of work to do every week, and keeping up with things is taking up most of my time and energy, so a lot of the stuff that’s been sitting there waiting is getting moldy.  That’s a problem that’s entirely my fault, and I’m trying to do better about that.  But we’re gonna get it done.
