We’re Fluffy Tail Studio, an indie game developers team that LOVES Furries and Visual Novels. We’re currently working on our newest FREE game - Project Genome. Have a look!

Project Genome is a non-linear Adult Furry Visual Novel with an Open-world Map, Turn-based Combat, and Roguelite mode. Help the main character May Rotokowski write the greatest article about her discoveries on an ancient island full of furry creatures and sci-fi human-created machines.

The plot unveils the story of a journalist May Rotokowski, a girl who‘s dreaming about writing the best article. As a determined person herself, she decides to take matters into her own hands and purposely searches through her colleagues PC and finds an opportunity of her life - a secret ship with a mysterious place as its destination. She decides to take the chance, sail on the ship, find out where it’s going, and tell the world about that in her next article.

May begins her journey, while keeping the journalists’ credo in mind - «The more info I dig up, the better». The ship arrives at an island where she meets its keeper who forcefully enters her body and demands to find all the shards of the island's heart crystal and in return promises to make one of May’s wishes come true. She’s also lucky to find a cute little robot, created by humans, that will be of help, as it takes May for its Mistress.

During her adventure she’ll have to experience futuristic and ancient «worlds» as both human and furry, interact with friendly and hostile island inhabitants, team up with them to go through fights, mysteries, quests, and even comic events, as well as do some naughty and perverted things for the sake of her dream.

Will the heroine be able to discover the truth about the island and write the greatest article of all time? We invite you all to our ever-changing world of Project Genome to find out!

Combat and Roguelite: Walk around the map to complete quests, meet new characters, fight enemies, and catch monsters. Choose characters from the ones you’ve met or caught to assemble a team. Battle using 3 unique skills of 4 characters in the team. Get new gear to strengthen your characters and to change their abilities. Choose permanent bonus effects via altars. Achieve higher scores by using strategies and combining right characters together.

Сюжет раскрывает историю журналистки Мей Ротоковски, девушки, мечтающей написать лучшую статью. Будучи целеустремленным человеком, она решает взять дело в свои руки и намеренно просматривает компьютер своего коллеги и находит возможность всей своей жизни - секретный корабль с таинственным местом назначения. Она решает рискнуть, сесть на корабль и узнать, куда он направляется, чтобы рассказать миру об этом в своей следующей статье.

Мей начинает свое путешествие, помня о кредо журналистов - «Чем больше информации я накопаю, тем лучше». Корабль прибывает на остров, где она встречает его хранителя, который насильно проникает в ее тело и требует найти все осколки кристалла сердца острова, а взамен обещает исполнить одно из желаний Мей. Ей также повезло найти милого маленького робота, созданного людьми, который будет полезен, поскольку он принимает Мей за свою Госпожу.

Во время своего приключения ей придется познать футуристический и древний «миры» как в человеческом, так и в фурри обличье, взаимодействовать с дружественными и враждебными обитателями острова, объединяться с ними, чтобы пройти через бои, тайны, квесты и даже забавные события, а также делать грязные и извращенные вещи ради своей мечты.

Hello everyone!

This week was a bit more chill than usual, since we had to revisit every single monster and character gameplay-wise. Right from the beginning of creation Project Genome we planned to create balance between characters in a way that they don’t have perfectly equal battle power. Thus, we could periodically change their stats and abilities to create fresh experience to play your favorite characters in the Story and Roguelite mode.

Depending on the content of the first and future versions of the game, some characters will stand out, so not only you’ll be able to try out everyone, but you’ll be able to gear and level them up and have them ready to go through any future content. “Catch them all!” 😋

Also, some of the improvements were made to the randomly generated maps and events for Roguelite. We’re still testing it but now every run is more fair for everyone. You will almost always have a chance to finish it even if you happen to get some of the unluckiest outcomes.

Эта неделя выдалась немного менее напряженной, чем обычно, поскольку нам пришлось пересмотреть геймплей каждого отдельного монстра и персонажа. С самого начала создания Project Genome мы планировали создать баланс между персонажами таким образом, чтобы они не обладали абсолютно равной боевой мощью. Dev Status! Let’s interact with the world! / Статус Разработки! Давайте взаимодействовать с миром!

Hello everyone!

So far, we’ve been working on a huge list of issues that we’ve found during play tests. This time the main subject was characters, their combat capabilities, and animations. Some conversations and fights were quite blanc so we drew and added more elements into the story.

Ro now has full equipment not only in text but also on screen, such as Net for catching creatures, Shocker for taking down other robots, Ears and Radar to check surroundings, and Submission chips for taking control of low-intellect monsters.

May now interacts with objects and characters even more. She uses items on the floor and backgrounds more often as well as engage other characters to interact with her and surroundings.

Those, it would seem, small changes rally make the difference especially in Project Genome where everything should be vivid and spectacular.

We’ve also decided to additionally show you some funny bugs we’ve encountered and tried to fix using various methods (in later posts). Those graphical errors will make your day, that’s for sure. 😂

Пока что мы работали над огромным списком проблем, которые обнаружили во время игровых тестов. На этот раз основной темой были персонажи, их боевые возможности и анимации. Некоторые диалоги и драки были довольно простыми, поэтому мы нарисовали и добавили больше элементов в сюжет.

У Ро теперь есть все необходимое снаряжение не только в тексте, но и на экране, например, Сеть для ловли существ, Шокер для уничтожения других роботов, Уши и Радар для проверки окружения, а также Чипы подчинения для управления монстрами с низким интеллектом.

Мей теперь еще больше взаимодействует с объектами и персонажами. Она чаще использует предметы на полу и на фонах, а также привлекает других персонажей для взаимодействия с собой и окружающим миром.

Эти, казалось бы, небольшие изменения могут иметь значение, особенно в Project Genome, где все должно быть ярким и зрелищным.

Мы также решили дополнительно показать вам несколько забавных ошибок, с которыми мы столкнулись и которые попытались исправить различными способами (в следующих постах). Эти графические ошибки, несомненно, порадуют вас. 😂

Dev Status! Clear and desirable! / Статус Разработки! Ясный и желанный!

Hello everyone!

We’ve launched the Steam page for Project Genome. Don’t forget to add us to your Wishlist!

For the past 2 weeks we’ve gone through an enormous amount of corrections! We’ve replayed Project Genome 11 times… again, and have written down all the issues that are still in the game to get rid of them as soon as possible.

For now, we need to improve some of the interactions between the characters including their emotions, poses, and animations of background objects. Some interactions lack engagement and vividness that could lead to wrong perception of situations. So we have to avoid that at all costs. We’ve drawn some new items that will be used in dialogues and interactions, you’ll see, what we mean. 😉

We’ve also been working on implementing a proper Quest Log. You’ll be getting and completing quests all the time during the Main Story and Roguelite mode so it’s essential for us to give you the perfect instrument to do that with no issues whatsoever. We want it to be 100% clear with notifications (as if you were using your phone), instructions and cool looking rewards to look forward to.

Greetings! The weekly Dev Status is here!

We’ve made just several more improvements to the story and we can say the players’ feel of the first version’s plot is finally perfect. Mostly we’ve added new lines for some situations for them to be more clear and clean, as well as revamped one of the backgrounds. But these minor changes led to greater outcome. 😏

While we’re going through the code and its complexness our writer has already begun planning the specifics of the story of the future versions. We’ll gladly tell you more when they’re ready.

We’ve also been thinking through how to easily send feedback about the game to us. Other than simple polls we wanted to know your opinion on specific features right after your experience them, so you could not only tell us what you like and dislike but let us know how you felt during your walkthrough. Thus, we’ve decided to add optional forms that you can fill if you’re willing to. The more feedback you give, the better Project Genome will become.

Мы внесли еще несколько улучшений в историю и можем сказать, что игровое ощущение сюжета первой версии наконец идеально. В основном мы добавили новые реплики для некоторых ситуаций, чтобы они были более красивыми и понятными, а также переработали один из фонов. Но эти незначительные изменения привели к выдающемуся результату. 😏

Пока мы разбираемся с кодом и его сложностью, наш автор уже начал планировать особенности сюжета будущих версий. Мы с радостью расскажем вам больше, когда они будут готовы.

Мы также продумали, как можно легко отправить фидбек об игре. Помимо простых опросов, мы хотели узнать ваше мнение о конкретных функциях сразу после того, как вы ознакомитесь с ними, чтобы вы могли не только рассказать нам, что вам нравится и что не нравится, но и сообщить, что вы чувствовали во время прохождения. Таким образом, мы решили добавить дополнительные формы, которые вы можете заполнить, если захотите. Чем больше фидбека вы дадите, тем лучше станет Project Genome.
