September 2025 "what we're up to" update
Its September everybyte and happy silksong to all who celebrate. what the heck are we doing? we ask ourselves that everyday. but we wanna gather our thoughts about our artistic goals for this month...
videos...so we're still on youtube for the time being but we are, like we said trying to establish a presence elsewhere!
we have uploaded a couple of things to our internet archive account which u can find here
https://archive.org/details/@fluffbyte_presents
but also another good news, as of today the fluffbyte entertainment system is on peertube! we finally got approved for an instance on spectra . if you dont know about peertube, dont worry, we didnt know it exist before last month lol. its a fedirated (mastadon) youtube alternative platform, spectra is just one server on it. and the videos on any server are reviewed by people ,not bots. its a much smaller platform than youtube but the point is to spread our roots out. we dont know if we'll upload all our vods there or just edited content but heres the link

that segways perfectly in to our plan to make a video essay this month. didnt end up working on it very much in august. but we got swept up in a new special interest that we're sure to be exploring into our content later this month...as well as with art. but we're still cooking. we've been doing a lot of art of a certain ttrpg we'll be running a one shot of this month so we're very excited.
but in terms of edited content, we decided to ditch our old editing software we've been using since 2020 and switch to davinci resolve...which we've installed but havent actually opened yet. its kinda intimidating so its been easy to procrastinate
all the moving of platforms and tools and learning new things and pursuing granular knowledge in order to subsist in this world that is high key anti artist has been really overwhelming to pursue. we made a new email too. we're gonna probably we switching our business email to our proton email address, so google can scrape less of our existence.
in october were switching away from a microsoft os. we're gonna try steam's os, which is a branch of linux. not super optimistic all our programs will continue to work as expected so there might be a lot more growing pains to come.
all in all, we're kinda regretting not spreading ourselves in a more decentralized direction before now, its kinda ass to exist on the mainstream internet.. a lot of our contemporaries are doing there best to survive physically and digitally
a number of ero and guro artists who've post their work on itch in the past released a zine called I'm not allowed to draw this. its a fuck you to itch bending to puritan fascism. we think you should check it out. the thing with the new policies is that it means artists who make things that payment processors dont like cant profit from their work. so artists who make 'unprofitable' content made free art. badass
https://papriqa.itch.io/inatdt
the fight against payment processors is still on going. if you would like to contribute there is always https://yellat.money/ which will give you a script to call payment processors with. however we dont have confidence that itch will be a place we post a lot of our work. so thats still up in the air for now
as far as streaming goes, we'll be doing weekly Deltarune streams starting this month and into october. a chapter a week. we plan to bring our voice acting a game, as well as produce some special pngs for the headmates who play as well as some other fanart related happenings.
we didnt do as much art in chaistyrune as we wanted but we do intend on making a few more pieces before we start streaming it so stay tuned.
{and a reminder that glitchbyte will be having its vtuber debut on halloween! tho we havent planed much beyond that yet.}
thats most of what we feel confident discussing as our plans can change and our adhd is a storm that leaves few pieces unmoved, in our undermedicated existence. thanks for listening
~With hope,Thornbyte
ps: we found out we can get payouts now,we think?? not sure and havent rtried it cause its a pretty low amount rn, but its worth mentioning since we thought we needed to have a certain number of paid subs before we were eligable. but we wont know util we try to withdraw. but we're gonna wait a little longer before trying, maybe end of the year.
