I've often said how lighting and composition is something I struggle to get right, but lately I feel like I've been gaining a firmer grasp and understanding of it, as well as experimenting with more render settings. There are still hits and misses aplenty, but honestly, I'm pretty damn pleased with how some of the renders from a few of my previous few stories and sets have turned out! Getting the lighting and render settings right does bring the images up a few notches!

A few folks have mentioned to me that SubscribeStar has been acting pretty fucking funky lately, blocking them access to posts they should have access to and being presented with a notification to "extend their subscription", causing them to be charged for this month when they do so - which is, quite frankly, very fucking frustrating.
I've encountered this issue myself 2 or 3 times with some creators I support on SubscribeStar, and I've already emailed SubscribeStar about the issue and asked about getting those subscribers refunded. However, as it's now the Friday before Christmas, it will most likely be January before SubscribeStar gets back to me - but I'll let you all know as soon as they do.
If you're one of the folks who have been prompted to extend your subscription for this month, you may have been charged for this month when you should not have been. If so, please contact me in the comments or send me a private message, and I'll get you sorted out in whatever way I can.

Now, I don't suspect that the "extend subscription" thing is anything sinister or untoward at all - in fact, I think it's more likely some kind of new standard function SubscribeStar is implementing across the whole platform. Probably something a subscriber will be required to do once or maybe twice a year for every creator they're subscribed to, to make sure they're not still being charged for a subscription they've forgotten they had or something.
But what might be happening in this case is that the system is forgetting that I have Vacation Mode enabled, and prompting people to extend their subscription anyway. Possibly some kind of oversight on the part of SubscribeStar, but right now that's pure speculation on my part, so take it all with a hefty grain of salt.

Whatever the cause, I've set this post as a "Public Post" and not tied it to any tiers, even the Free one. Which means that everyone should - should - be able to view this post and it's contents without any issue. But I do apologize for the kerfuffle with everything at the moment.
