Monday Update: Next Dev Cycle Pacing
Hello all,
Work on the new update is going well. We're getting closer every day, but likely still a couple weeks out at the earliest. With that said, we are already turning out sights to the next update.
Shortly after Act 3 drops, I'll be returning to University. I won't have as much time to develop but I will still dedicate what spare time I have to the project. Because a lot of the writing and implementation happens in the last month of each dev cycle, it also coincided with finals week last year.
As such, until Christmas, I am going to experiment shifting from one big release around Christmas to several smaller updates throughout the semester. I've drawn up some preemptive plans but these are general ideas that are not set in stone. Additionally, from this point onward, we are completely ditching AI art. I am also going to try to replace one AI scene per mini update. Keep an eye out to determine some of the content coming in these updates.
Update 1 (Mid September): 2-4 scenes with Original Art. Planned characters: Spider-Woman, Ghost-Rider, Scorpion
Update 2 (Halloween): 2-3 scenes with Original Art plus a Halloween event. Planned characters: Black Cat, Spider-Woman, Olivia Octavius, Scorpion
Update 3 (Christmas): 2-4 scenes with Original Art; might do a second Christmas event. Planned characters: Widow (Farm), Black Rabbit, Scorpion
Fetish Poll: 1 voted scene from the Fetish Poll will arrive sometime between these three updates; dependent on when it can be finished.
A couple of small notes: First, the planned content doesn't include existing art that is being used in a new context. Second, the new original art is likely best case scenario. I do not know the workload of the semester yet so everything here is subject to change. Update 1 and 2 could end up getting combined, for example.
