Deluded Diaries: All attributes and effects currently in Deluded

Hey-hey!
Deluded is growing every day, with new features and content being added regularly, so it’s nice to take a breather sometimes and look at what’s already implemented.
Various character parameters, such as Attributes (forming your Personality types), Effects, Needs, Skills and Appearance features take a huge part in Deluded's gameplay, which is why we are talking about them today! This post should help you better understand what goes into the character of Alisa and also help us reflect on our development.
We’re going to briefly recap what's already been covered in the Skills and Perks, the Attributes’ Buffs and Debuffs posts and add on the Effects and Needs.

Personality Attributes

The 8 attributes that you get hit by in dialogue checks. Choosing between the antagonizing attributes defines Alisa's personality and the way she reacts to events and other characters. The names speak for themselves, but we’ll still give you a bit of breakdown:
[L∗∗D] This is what you all came for! Literally. [L∗∗D] Alisa is more open for all kinds of s∗∗ual ventures, can wear more revealing clothes without worrying her pretty head about it, gets ar∗∗sed fast and all the other lovely things of being a bit of a nymphomaniac.
[PURE] is the holy opposite of [L∗∗D]. [PURE] Alisa doesn’t initiate s∗∗, doesn’t like it and would much rather keep things chaste—even though her body gets easily ar∗∗sed because of… lore reasons.
[INT] If you are intelligent enough, you may have guessed it. [INT] Alisa is no stranger to critical thinking and can find her way out of some sticky situation using her big beautiful brain. Overanalyzing and overthinking is part of the deal.
[FOOL] Alisa is a chaotic menace who doesn’t take Stress too seriously and somehow often gets lucky. She says the most absurd stuff that comes to mind and gets along with people like her.
[SUB] Alisa is a people pleaser in all senses of this word—conflict-avoidant, accommodating, and prone to apologizing even when she’s not at fault. Thus, she’s easy to trust and sympathize with.
[DOM] Alisa is a sass-disaster. She gets shit done by threatening, humiliating and commanding other NPCs around. A charmer, really.
[STR] Alisa is a gym b̶r̶o̶ sis who solves problems with sheer force. Punch-through-the-door kind of gal, not spend-hours-looking-for-a-key, you know?
[GRC] Alisa is naturally agile. She can run longer (work in progress), climb like a cat, squeeze through tight spaces (get your mind out of the gutter, no one is getting stuck today), and rarely loses her balance.

How do you up the Attributes?

Choose the corresponding [ATTRIBUTES] options in the dialogues. You can also level them up by doing certain actions (e.g. praying, working out or reading books). The attributes clash with each other: you can’t be both [L∗∗D] and [PURE], you can’t be both [FOOL] and [INT], same with [DOM] and [SUB], and you can’t max out both [GRC] and [STR] (one of them will be capped at 50, while the other one can level up all the way to 100). The rest you are free to mix as you wish!
To see your current Attributes, check the Tab menu—it’s on the right of your screen. You also get notifications on the left side of your screen whenever your Attributes are leveling up.
Attributes’ Buffs and Debuffs are unlocked as you reach attribute milestones at 25, 50, 75, and 100 points.

Skills and Skill Perks

Skills are also attributes, but they level up when you repeat specific in-game actions. For example, if you want to up your Engineering skill, tinker with some gadgets. If you want to up your Cooking skill, attempt making different meals. If you want to up your S∗∗ skill… Well. I’ll leave this one for you to figure out.
To see your current Skills, check the Tab menu and click on the 3rd icon at the top (it looks like lips 🫦). You also get notifications on the left side of your screen whenever your Skills are leveling up.
These Skills are already available in the Prologue:
  • Makeup
  • Engineering
  • Theft
  • Fishing
  • Cooking
  • Herbalism

There are 9 Skills in total. Reaching milestones at 25, 50, 75 and 100 unlocks Perks, little boosts to reward your efforts! For instance, Cooking Perks unlock new recipes and reduce cooking time, Theft Perks increase your success chance, grants you the ability to rob and bribe people, and also to keep your money once jailed. They are not available yet, but will be, and you will be the first ones to know.

Effects and Needs

Needs are things you need to keep track of at all times. Otherwise, Alisa leaves to find her sister (equivalent to a death screen). Satiety, Hydration, Toilet and Energy are the basics of survival: make sure Alisa eats enough, drinks enough, uses the bathroom from time to time and gets some good sleep.
To see your current Effects and Needs, check the left upper corner of your Tab menu (hover to see the details).
When Alisa is affected by something, you can clearly see it on her or on the screen. Deluded is a project in development, so things can still change, but we have already implemented:

Main effects

  • Mood (when Mood is low, colors become desaturated)
  • Ar∗∗sal (when Ar∗∗sal is high, the screen edges turn pink, Alisa’s nip∗∗es harden and her cheeks flush)
  • Stress (when Stress is high, Alisa has tear streaks running down her cheeks)
  • Privacy (affected by a combination of 27 Clothing Revealingness parameters for Top and Bottom)

Pro tip: all the effects mentioned in the group above affect Alisa’s Stress. When the Stress is high, Alisa’s Mood goes down gradually. When it’s at 0, the game is over.

General effects

  • Shame (affected by Location Privacy level and [L∗∗D] level)
  • Wetness
  • Drenching
  • Dirty (Body, Feet)
  • Body Temperature
  • Drunk
  • Blind
  • Illness
  • Makeup (work in progress with one Style already available)
  • Lipstick (Main Color, Secondary Color, Softness, Metallic, Flicker, Shape, Imperfection)
  • Pain (Pu∗∗y, Urethra, A∗∗s, Nip∗∗es, Throat, Body)
  • Lube (A∗∗s, Pu∗∗y)
  • Pregnant
  • C∗m (Face, A∗∗s, Pu∗∗y, Mouth, Br∗∗sts, Right Hand, Left Hand, Back, Butt, Belly, Left Leg, Right Leg)
  • Bodywrite (work in progress with some Writings already available)
  • Just Fu∗∗ed
  • Butt Slapped
  • Gloor Addiction
  • Gloor Intoxication

Some of the Effects mentioned above appear in your Tab menu as icons under the Needs/Effects, while others are backend-only and shown visually on Alisa.

Appearance

Customization is a great part of Deluded, so here’s what we have in the game so far:
  • Weight
  • Age
  • Elf Ears
  • Freckles
  • Legs Width (Low and High)
  • Sporty (Legs, Butt, Spine, Abs, Arms)
  • Birthmarks
  • Full Belly
  • Tears
  • Areola Radius and Darkness
  • Lips Size
  • B∗∗b Size
  • Butt Size
  • Cl∗t Size
  • Pumped (Cl∗t, A∗∗s, Nip∗∗es)
  • Wearness (Vag∗na, A∗∗s, Or∗l, Urethra, Throat)
  • Pu∗∗y Blood
  • Pu∗∗y Hair (Length)
  • Nip∗le Size
  • Tattoo (Face, Neck, Left Arm, Right Arm, Left Forearm, Right Forearm, Chest, Lower Abdomen, Belly, Upper Back, Lower Back, Left Thigh, Right Thigh, Left Leg, Right Leg, Left Butt cheek, Right Butt cheek)
  • Nails (work in progress with Colour, Shape, Design and Intensity already available for Fingers and Colour, Shape, Design and Intensity available for Toes)

Quite a list, isn’t it? And—have you ever noticed that NPCs sometimes comment on Alisa’s current state? Yep, they pretty much have their own opinions if Alisa is half-nak∗d or, say, covered in something inappropriate.

Backend-wise, that brings us to a total of 118 detailed character parameters! And there's more to come. As new ones add up, we'll sure make another post to keep you updated! But I hope this one already cleared some things up. If not—they say comments are just the right place to ask some questions 😉

Yours faithfully,
Lantsova

Deluded Diaries: Skills

Hey there! Another entry into our Diaries! 📖
In one of the previous posts I covered the character’s main attributes, their perks and other stuff. Recently, the devs took some time to elaborate on the skills in our game and that’s what I’d like to talk about today.
As always, knowing how complex Deluded is (and is planned to be), we just cannot leave you without these devlogs—and I hope you find them useful to read. 😉

What are skills in Deluded?

Skills are attributes that grow through repeated in-game actions. For example, repairing various devices will increase your Engineering skill, going for fishing will increase your Fishing skill, etc.
You’ve already had a chance to see some of the skills in the game like Cooking, Makeup, Theft, Fishing and Engineering. But we’ve got a lot more planned.

Skills progression

Choosing similar actions that require skill when interacting—whether with items or NPCs—will сontribute to said skills progression.
Additionally, skills can be upgraded by reading special magazines scattered around the game world (4 for each skill). These magazines can boost skills by 5 points.
Each skill can go up to 100 points, and reaching 25, 50, 75, 100 points respectively grants certain perks.
Skill level cannot be decreased and skill perks cannot be removed, permanently or temporarily.
Skill checks are done through dialogues and they look like this:
[Engineering 40 >>>] *Repair the car*

List of Skills and Perks

Below is the list of all 9 skills we plan to include in the game, each with 4 perks that are achieved by reaching the relative milestones. This setup might not be final and may change during testing and according to your feedback, but here’s what we’re currently aiming for:

    3. 75 points: + 2 makeup patterns and + 2 lipstick shapes

Besides the aforementioned Cooking, Makeup, Theft, Fishing and Engineering, in the prologue we also plan to feature: Herbalism and some S**-related skills.

Stay tuned because later in the series we’ll dive into the s**-related skills! 💦

And let us know your thoughts and suggestions in the comments!

Best regards,

Deluded Diaries: Cheats

Ever wanted to press one button and watch all your fantasies become reality? Well, Enamored tier and above on our SS page allows you to do that… but at what cost?
Today we are talking about Cheats in Deluded. The Secret Store—another high-tier perk—was covered earlier in this post—don’t miss out!
Here, take a look:
Basically, the cheats allow you to adapt your gameplay to your liking. You want some snow? Here you go. Don’t feel like completing a quest to lay your hands on a piece of clothing you’ve been eyeing? Wish granted. Who needs to work out when you can drag a slider and make your butt and back look snatched? You can get infinite stamina, unlock all doors and dialogue options—the possibilities are endless, really. It’s like motherlode in Sims: addicting, but it takes away a lot of the fun.

How do I open the cheats menu?

Make sure to do the following:
  • Download the game version with cheats (find the latest one here)
  • Delete all old saves (if you have played the default version prior)
  • Enable the cheats at the start of the game
  • Press F1 to use cheats in the game

As of v0.4.1 we have an ongoing problem with cheats, they occasionally stop working because of the default and cheat versions clashing; the fix is in progress.

What can I do with cheats?

  • Get as much money as you like (enter the required amount, press Enter); spawn almost any item you want (it will appear in your inventory; excludes Secret Store-only items)
  • Unlock all dialogue options (works even if you don’t have the required quest items or stats!)
  • Get infinite stamina—no more getting tired while running
  • Have 100% chance of triggering random events and dialogue options
  • Change weather and time (skip time to unlock day/time-specific quests)
  • Tweak any attribute, skill, need, FX and Alisa’s state of your liking (yes, you can totally go crazy, there are about 180 characteristics to change!)

To make things easier, there’s a Favorites tab. Mark any option (attributes/spawning items section) with a star and you’ll find it all in one place! The search bar helps you navigate instantly (just type in whatever you are looking for).

Is it worth it to play Deluded with cheats?

Depends on what your goal is. If you are looking for a way to wind down after a hard day, yes, it is. If you want the full experience, where the hardships actually make the gameplay rewarding, then no.
Deluded’s world was designed with gradual progression in mind. Mindlessly jumping through the dialogues, for example, may mar the experience. Maybe—just maybe—take in the world as we built it at least once before going wild with sliders 😉

If I subscribe once, do I get lifetime access to future updates with cheats?

Nope!

Can I use the cheats without ruining the experience?

If you use it wisely, yes, you can! Experiment with different character builds—test how different stats affect the gameplay without spending too much of your precious time. Pro tip or what I like to do: keep one save for your main playthrough and a few separate ones to see the cut-scenes and routes exclusive to the other attributes. Try on funky outfits, change Alisa’s appearance, get some extra money to help yourself out. Just don’t get carried away! ...Unless it’s your intention.
Besides, you don’t have to go “all sliders max” or nothing. Each option can be turned on or off independently, so you can mix a little cheat here and there without unleashing full chaos.
Set up a personal mini-challenge!
Try tweaking your attributes for a themed run or amplify one side and sacrifice another. You get the maximum GRC but… can’t spawn items using cheats. I like to call this one High Grace, Low Gear. Be a true jock: make Alisa muscular and strong, but keep her INT at zero. Make a name for yourself as a fashionista: get all the fancy clothes, but never wear panties. Wait. That sounds like a good thing.

Will the cheats version be available on Steam?

Still thinking about it, but it will probably come out as DLC. Be advised that achievements in the cheat mode will be disabled!

Most importantly, enjoy yourself. That’s the whole point!

Yours faithfully,
Lantsova

Deluded Diaries: Attributes’ Buffs/Debuffs

Since the beginning of the Deluded development, we have not only released numerous beta builds, but also written a lot of devlogs. While reading all of them, you might’ve realized how complex Deluded already is and how more advanced it is shaping up to be. Surely it must take a lot of planning?— you probably thought. Well… of course! Planning, mapping, outlining, drafting… is what takes a huge chunk of our work time. But it’s worth it, since it helps us ensure we make as few mistakes along the way as possible!
We’ve been thinking thoroughly about Deluded’s game loop, gameplay pillars and such. So, in this particular post, we’d like to talk about each of the 8 main attributes, our ideas regarding their perks, buffs, debuffs and quirks. Sorry, not just our ideas… Because we couldn’t have done it without your help, guys! Thanks to the Helper folks in our Discord for sharing your invaluable thoughts!
By the way, if you want to take part in the development and influence some of our decisions, you can do so by grabbing a @Helper role on our Discord. From time to time, we provide tasks like this, do polls, ask questions, make testing requests etc.

So, without further ado, let’s dive into this! Below are all of the main attributes with lists of their features. Each attribute’s progression level (0-100) is divided into 4 stages, each stage unlocking unique gameplay additions. Those can be:
  • 🟢 - Buffs
  • 🔴 - Debuffs
  • 🔵 - Neither buffs nor debuffs (depends on your role-play goals)
  • 🟣 - Unique Quests

L**D

25 points or above:
  • 🟢 Ability to wear lvl 1 privacy clothes without Stress
    • Note: the full-fledged Privacy system (aka the Exhibitionism system), that is to be introduced in the version 0.7, will imply clothes and clothes combinations having 4 privacy levels—0 being fully clothed and 4 being fully naked (I’ll talk more about the Privacy system in the next series of roadmap posts)
  • 🟢 If Alisa is wearing Top and Bottom clothes that are tagged as L**D, she gets a small Mood bonus
  • 🟢 The maximum Shame level cannot exceed 75%
  • 🟢 Or**sm gives more Mood
    • Note: here I’d like to explain the difference between Stress and Mood parameters. Mood is your “HP”. When Mood is 0, you “die”. Mood can be affected temporarily by various negative or positive factors (like inhaling flower scent gives +1 to Mood), but the main parameter that “sets the Mood” is Stress. Stress is pretty much constant and represents the sum of all negative effect imposed on Alisa. When the Stress is high (you have a lot of negative effects, like: being naked, diseased, malnourished, etc) your Mood will drain faster, and vice versa.
50 points or above:
  • 🟢 Ability to wear lvl 2 privacy clothes without Stress
  • 🟢 The maximum Shame level cannot exceed 50%
  • 🟢 You can eat c*m to replenish Satiety and Hydration
  • 🟢 Makes the on-screen ar**sal post-processing effect more pleasant to the eyes
  • 🟢 You no longer need lubricant—it is produced passively
  • 🔴 Adds the “Unbearably H*rny” effect: if the Ar**sal level is 99-100, it reduces Mood
75 points or above:
  • 🟢 Ability to wear lvl 3 privacy clothes without Stress
  • 🟢 The maximum Shame level cannot exceed 25%
  • 🟢 New Radial menu option: Prostitution (available anywhere, unless there are no people around)
    • Note: you can read more about the Radial menu in this post
  • 🟢 If Alisa wears a toy inside, it slightly warms her up
100 points:
  • 🟢 Ability to wear lvl 4 privacy clothes without Stress
  • 🔵 Ar**sal drops by 50% after or**sm instead of 100%
  • 🔴 The Wh*re level decreases 2x slower
    • Note: the Wh*re level works like a reputation and is tied to each individual location (whether NPCs think of Alisa as a wh*re or not)
  • 🟣 Quest unlocked: Becoming a Pornstar

PURE

25 points or above:
  • 🟢 If Alisa is wearing Top and Bottom clothes that are tagged as PURE, she gets a small Mood bonus
  • 🟢 Praying converts Ar**sal to Mood (2%)
  • 🟢 Latin learning level: Novice
  • 🔴 - 3 Mood points upon or**sm
50 points or above:
  • 🟢 Praying converts Ar**sal to Mood (4%)
  • 🟢 Adds the “Freshness” perk—Clean water increases Energy
  • 🟢 Ar**sal increases 2x slower
  • 🟢 Latin learning level: Amateur
  • 🔵 Daily prayer limit: 2 times
75 points or above:
  • 🟢 Praying converts Ar**sal to Mood (6%)
  • 🟢 New Radial menu option: Praying (anywhere)
  • 🟢 Addictions to gloor and alcohol drop 2x faster
  • 🟢 Latin learning level: Expert
100 points:
  • 🟢 Praying converts Ar**sal to Mood (8%)
  • 🟢 Praying can remove one random negative effect (once a day)
  • 🟢 Wh*re level drops 4x faster
  • 🟢 Latin learning level: Master
  • 🟣 Quest unlocked: Becoming a Pilgrim

SUB

25 points or above:
  • 🟢 If Alisa is wearing Top and Bottom clothes that are tagged as SUB, she gets a small Mood bonus
  • 🟢 New Radial menu option: Begging
  • 🟢 Pain and Forced S** affect Mood with a 0.5 multiplier (2x less)
50 points or above:
  • 🟢 Pain and Forced S** affect Mood with a 0.25 multiplier (4x less)
  • 🟢 +20 boost to Skills such as Farming
  • 🟢 Walking barefoot increases Mood
  • 🔴 Adds an “Insomnia” effect: Alisa cannot sleep well because of nightmares (10% chance of waking up earlier)
75 points or above:
  • 🟢 Pain and Forced S** no longer affect Mood
  • 🟢 Toilet need gains 2x slower
100 points:
  • 🟢 Pain and Forced S** boost Mood
  • 🟣 Quest unlocked: Becoming a Slave

DOM

25 points or above:
  • 🟢 If Alisa is wearing Top and Bottom clothes that are tagged as DOM, she gets a small Mood bonus
  • 🟢 New dialogue option: Racket/Intimidate (with non-unique NPCs)
  • 🔴 Forced S*x gives 2x Mood reduction
50 points or above:
  • 🟢 +20 boost to Skills such as Fishing
  • 🟢 Alisa has a better night vision
  • 🟢 Adds a “Fear me!” perk—if Alisa wins afight, she gets the money
  • 🟢 Wearing high heels increases Mood
75 points or above:
  • 🟢 Adds a “Predator” perk: if Alisa is hungry, she restores some Energy
  • 🟢 Crime level drops 2x faster
    • Note: criminal acts such as stealing increase Crime level, especially when in NPC detection area. With high crime level you can be detained by the local “security” guys who’ll fine you or send to work in the Silver mine. Just like Wh*re level, it is tied to location and decreases with time
  • 🟢 Alisa can perform one action per day that requires up to 50 in any of 8 main attributes, even if she lacks the required value
100 points:
  • 🟢 New dialogue option: Enslave an NPC (with non-unique NPC's)
  • 🟣 Quest unlocked: Becoming a Mistress (Cult Idol)

STR

25 points or above:
  • 🟢 If Alisa is wearing Top and Bottom clothes that are tagged as STR, she gets a small Mood bonus
  • 🟢 Adds a “Habit” perk—exercises boost Mood
50 points or above:
  • 🟢 Adds a “Hardening” perk:—it becomes harder to get sick
  • 🟢 New Radial menu option: Workout (anywhere)
  • 🟢 Inventory capacity increased: +5 slots
  • 🟢 +20 boost to Skills such as Mining
75 points or above:
  • 🟢 Pain affects Mood 2x less
