Player Survey IV: Results
by Sashka
Thanks to all 1043 of you who took the time to fill out the latest survey, we've read all the responses and are back with a bit of analysis to tide you over until 0.9.2 goes public.
Note: most percentages are rounded to the nearest whole number, so some totals may not add to 100%
General Game:
How far into the game have you played?
64%(665) have made it to stage 4, with 21%(216) in stage 3 and 14%(146) having reached stage 5. This is more progression that previous stages, so thanks to all of you who have experienced so much of the game.
What's your favourite game stage?
40%(420) preferred stage 2, 29%(297) stage 3, and 17%(176) stage 4, given the portions that have made it deep into the game it definitely seems like the "feminization still in progress" is a bit more popular, but that the game remains engaging even after ~full-femme has been achieved (also shout out to the 8%(85) that play for the non-work content)
What progression style do you prefer?
An interesting balance here, 27%(286) like enthusiast, 22%(230) obedient, 19%(202) strict and 15%(157) voluntary. Given that enthusiast is a sort of voluntary/obedient extreme hybrid there's a clear majority that are playing some manner of "willing" style, with those who want a more forced progression going for the most extreme option for such (greed (81) and bad girl (87) came in at ~8% each, so even summed they're behind strict). Given the development of the game: starting with a sort of forced/obedient hybrid that was then split in 0.4.0, with voluntary and money added in 0.6.0 and strict (0.8.5) and enthusiast (0.8.6) added far later. It's also interesting that Enthusiast is now the most popular despite it both being added last, and that addition having been chosen by backer voting (ie: strict was added first due to "winning out" at the time). Were we to start things over it seems that focusing more on the extremes would have been a more efficient use of time, though I continue to believe that, despite its lack of popularity, the "greed" path is important for establishing a tone given the game's capitalist dystopia setting.
How do you choose your progression style?
42%(432) specifically attempt to hit a specific style through the whole playthrough vs. 58%(606) just playing and letting what happened happened. This is interesting/higher than we would have expected. Design-wise the game was conceived for styles to provide choice and more reflect behaviour than guide it but... here we are. We'll be keeping a bit more of an eye out if there are certain styles that are maybe a bit too hard to hit on "pure" playthroughs/feel free to suggest such on the discord.
Favorite scene:
A real spread of "favourite" scenes here, ranging both across the different parts of the game from the prologue to late game, to content/character/fetish type, as well as temporally in writing from some of the earliest scenes to scenes currently in pre-release. We're glad the game can satisfy in so many different ways.
Do you participate in bug reporting?
35%(344) were unaware that we solicit bug reports (hop on by the discord, we can't fix things if we don't know about them, and you could earn a scene!) Of the remainder 37%(371) only report if it impedes progress, 22%(224) report anything they find, and a scant 1%(9) specifically search for bugs (though... it certainly feels like more sometimes #lifeinthebugfixingmines). In any case, we thank all of you who report and will continue our efforts to fix things as they are found (with our SLA of < 24 hours from report to fix having been hit for > 95% of bugs for multiple years now)
Characters
Favourite primary character
Consistent with prior surveys, Antlers (40%/419) and Alex (33%/341) run away with things here, with Dr. Trapper (12%/128), AIKO (7%/67) Bob (5%/55) and Kurt (3%/30) trailing.
Primary Character I Wish Had More Content:
Where the favorite character is basically a 2-way race, this one is wide open, possibly owing to Alex and Antlers having by far the most individual content. AIKO and Dr. Trapper are separated by a mere handful of votes at 20.9%(218) and 21.3%(222) respectively, with a near even split of ~12% each voting for Alex (129), Antlers (133), Bob (121), or satisfaction with current balance (139), and poor Kurt lagging with a mere 7%(79). These numbers are relatively consistent with prior, though I am somewhat surprised that Dr. Trapper and AIKO continue to pull such interest for more content, both have a pretty substantial quantity of scenes, with Dr. Trapper always being extensive and AIKO having gotten significant attention more recently. While we're not looking to make any large additional plans, we will keep an eye out for adding some more content to reflect this poll.
Primary Character Scene Suggestions:
Some suggested scenes that will be added to list of possible future scenes (for small scene polls/if I feel inspired). A note that more specific suggestions are going to be easier to action/higher odds of inspiring something. There is also tester rewards or VIP backer scenes if you're particularly determined to get something specific in.
AIKO: event where she controls you with cybernetic implants
AIKO: black box integration
AIKO: additional missions
AIKO: dronification event: already exists in the AIKO sex club date, an additional mission is coming in 0.9.3
Alex: more dom/sub events at work
Bob: domme Bob option is a maybe
Bob: more "friend" Bob content is possible, but I'd need inspiration for what
more outside therapy events
Kurt: Kurt as keyholder
Kurt: additional encouraging you to wear female clothing
Manager: more out of work events
Manager: more sex scenes with manager
Comments on other suggestions that are not in-scope:
Option to shrink Alex or take her to the bodyshop would have a very large cascade effect in terms of variants for other scenes. It's not impossible, but it would be a significant amount of work that would be out of scope.
Feminizing Bob (outside of the existing event when siding with Pawn) isn't planned, if you want female Bob, that's what the fem toggle for Roberta is for
Trapper as a "relationship" option is not planned, it doesn't really fit her character/position in the story, and adding another "datable" character is a large lift
Kurt as "evil landlord" would VERY change the character and require another "cruel" flag. Theoretically possible, but not planned/would require significant effort and something significant to motivate.
Favourite Secondary Character:
This was another blow-out with Candy taking 39%(404) and Serena claiming 32%(333). Other Notables would be Officer Effiong with 10%(108), and Dr. Twig(67), Mr. Pawn(61) and Dr. Primrose(57) all hovering around 5-6% while Bogart and Horn took in a mere 6 votes each. While we finally caved and added some additional Serena content in 0.9.0 her popularity remains a bit of a frustration given her original intended (minor) role in the narrative.
Secondary Character I wish Had More Content:
This one is nearly a complete blowout with 49% (514) votes for Serena... which works out/was reflected in backer polls as she was selected to have additional content in 0.9.1 (which went public since this survey started running, though it's unclear if that satisfied this desire or merely accelerated it...). Splitting the other half of the pie, Officer Effiong has ~10%(104) again, Candy pulling in a mere 13%(135) and Dr. Primrose outperforming with 5%(48) to the ~3% of Dr. Twig (38) and Mr. Pawn (34). Almost identical to the primary character content poll 14% (146) are satisfied with balance with roughly 1% each for Mr. Horn (14) Mr. Bogart (10). With 0.9.2 being the "start taking down villains" version Dr. Twig, Mr. Pawn, Mr. Horn, Mr. Bogart and Dr. Primrose all will be seeing additional content, so hopefully that gives some satisfaction to their fans.
Secondary Character Scenes:
Some suggested scenes that will be added to list of possible future scenes (for small scene polls/if I feel inspired). A note that more specific suggestions are going to be easier to action/higher odds of inspiring something. There is also tester rewards or VIP backer scenes if you're particularly determined to get something specific in.
Candy: pair prostitution job
Candy: additional scenes/variants with "cured" Candy
Candy: hucow scene
Candy: Candy-induced forced bimbofication
Dr. Primrose: option to "work doll"
Mr. Bogart: being loaned to him as a secretary for a shift
Mr. Bogart: visit nintendolls
Mr. Pawn: more events of him tempting you
Officer Effiong: "searched" when entering/leaving work
Officer Effiong: public exhibition scene at the gym
Serena: minor random encounters around town
Some notes on suggested scenes that are not in-scope:
The option option to date Candy: as popular as Candy is there are no plans to make her datable/that side of things is complex enough as it is.
Additional Primrose content, including "curing" him and more kig content with him at the club are both coming in 0.9.3
Additional comments on Serena:
"Best friend" option would be possible/has been added to the list of possible future content, but would need to win a backer poll or such to get prioritized.
Domme Serena is not planned/doesn't fit her intended characterization.
An Alex-scale implementation of Serena (or anyone else) is out of scope, Alex has an ENORMOUS amount of content (depending on counting, more than any other character) and bringing Serena (or anyone else) up to that level would be easily half a year+ of sidetrack.
A threesome with Dwayne was mentioned several times, it already exists in-game (and has since 0.8.8.0), the scene is triggered from progressing through yoga at the gym to the point of doing "private" sessions.
Cuck content: so Serena was always intended to subvert genre cliches in this regard, even to the point of not intending to play more than a bit part at the start of the narrative... that said, content we have taken player feedback and dating content with her was added to 0.9.1 and this includes
<<SPOILER WARNING>>
her optionally turning evil in Stage 5 and dishing out some cuck content.
<<END SPOILER>>
Favourite Tertiary Characters:
Voting was pretty wide open here, with the top 10 being:
1 Chuck the Plant 26.8%/260
2 Dogmeat, the dog 23.4%/227
3 Lisa Soto, the Hucow 22.5%/221
4 Dafne, the Bartender 20.9%/203
5 Nina, the Maidtress 20.2%/196
6 Erica Schwanze, the Fellow Secretary 20%/194
7 Bambi, your Predecessor 18.2%/177
8 Luna, the Punk Girl in the RPG group 16.5%/160
9 Hank, the Cook/ex-porn actor 15.7%/152
10 Krystal Kave, the Gym Bimbo 15%/146
No super strong trends here, other than the human characters being almost entirely women with Hank being the only exception in the top 10, and only two other default male characters - Dwayne the Yogateacher (8.4%/82), Stan the Barber (12.7%/123) and Mr. Groper, the Shopkeeper (8.1%/79) pulled more than 5%
I also found it somewhat amusing that the "audience" designed character (Ezrabeth Prissy) didn't crack the top 15 with only 10.8%/105 votes, though I can't say whether that's a case of us not sufficiently delivering on audience preference, "flattening" of audience voting resulting in something palatable, but not perfect on an individual level... or just that she hasn't seen significant additions in recent releases.
Overall the diversity of votes (especially once it gets out of the top 5) I think is interesting as it shows pretty diverse preferences that are (presumably) being serviced by a variety of characters, with even the lower scoring characters getting a couple dozen votes each, and a handful of write-ins.
Tertiary Charcter(s) I wish had more content:
Top 10:
1 Dogmeat, the dog 24.1%/196
2 Bambi, your Predecessor 22%/179
3 Chuck the plant 20.9%/170
4 Lisa Soto, the Hucow 20.4%/166
5 Dafne, the Bartender 18.2%/148
6 Nina, the Maidtress 15.1%/123
7 Erica Schwanze, the Fellow Secretary 13.5%/110
8 Krystal Kave, the Gym Bimbo 13.4%/109
9 Frederica, the Botanist 12.9%/105
10 Luna, the Punk Girl in the RPG group 11.8%/96
Some shuffling here, though with a near identical top 10, and most "more content" interest underperforming compared to favouriting, which I'm going to interpret as an overall positive sign re: "satisfaction" with current content. One notable exception was Frederica who really overperformed (she was in 18th 8.8%/85 for favouriting) though, conveniently, she has several scenes already written into 0.9.2 thanks to funding from a VIP backer (there are a limited number of slots wherin a backer can purchase a scene to their specification each month). Of note Lisa, Krystal and Frederica all have content planned/written, we'll be mining suggestions for inspiration on some of the others.
Tertiary Scene
Some suggested scenes that will be added to list of possible future scenes (for small scene polls/if I feel inspired). A note that more specific suggestions are going to be easier to action/higher odds of inspiring something. There is also tester rewards or VIP backer scenes if you're particularly determined to get something specific in.
Fabio: feminize him,
Chuck: initiate more content/more aggressive late-game
Daphne: more abusive of player
Ms. Madison: encourage your purchases/possibility of explicit scenes
Chuck and Dogmeat competing over you
option to take care of Blake for a weekend
more bitchsuit scenes at home
More "cooperative" events with company peers outside of class
Dogmeat event if come home in kitty or bunny attire
Sleep event w/Chuck
Recruit coworkers to shoot porn w/Hank
Kat turn into catgirl
More discussion options w/Daphne
More Blake content
More Stan chatter while getting work done
Bimbo peer pressure at the gym
Unimplemented Content/additional scene Suggestions:
Some suggested scenes that will be added to list of possible future scenes (for small scene polls/if I feel inspired). A note that more specific suggestions are going to be easier to action/higher odds of inspiring something. There is also tester rewards or VIP backer scenes if you're particularly determined to get something specific in.
Scenes that will be added to the list for future polls, etc.:
Double date with Bob and Alex
Evil Alex "bad end"
Antlers comment on director of year plug
Male foot scene
Tickle scene
more scenes with stage 5 "evil" characters
Nylons scene
Notes on other requests:
More art was mentioned, we're doing the best we can but art has always been the primary bottleneck to development and release and one that there isn't really a solution to other than a whole lot more money.
Option to bulk import/export game options/fetish settings/etc.: added to the backlog to be coded
Game recap when working/work cleanup: warp cleanup is a known issue planned, but we haven't gotten to it yet.
Cruel mode toggle at start of game will be added to 0.9.2
Breastforms: technically implemented, but has a lot of tedious variants that would need to be written if it was enabled throughout the game
"locked" purist storymode route: this would be very complicated to implement as it doesnt align with how the game was designed. Some better "warning" for when a choice would trigger an unlock has been considered/may happen, but is not currently prioritised
Pregnancy: Pregnancy will only exist as an option in the games epilogue. Anything else has way too complex impact on gameplay.
Diapers: has been requested/considered, but implementing it properly would be a significant lift (estimated at least half a release worth of work), combined with the polarizing nature of such content, it is not something we plan to do.
Femboy path: This would be a VERY large add, and the current focus is towards getting the game to completion.
Unimplemented Content:
Note: the questions in this section were very much to get information on more "out there" things that have been suggested, but were not really in the plans, thus more of a curiosity than a firm direction guide.
1 Toggling Female character to Male
Average score: 2.26, Standard Deviation: 1.32, % voting 4+: 20%
We obviously opened the door to this one with the implemention of M->F toggle for all male NPCs... but going the other direction is significantly harder (since there are MANY more female NPCs), and raises greater concerns in terms of rewrites beyond just pronouns (in particular a Mr. Antlers would have to be pretty radically different in terms of how he related to the MC, and with Antlers having the most interaction with the player of any NPC, and the game being massive... the estimate is that just Antlers alone would be more than a full release worth of writing, Dr. Trapper and Alex being in a similar position). In an ideal world I can appreciate the appeal, but the scale of the changes required + the relatively small portion of the audience interested in such makes it unlikely to happen.
2 Toggle NPC genitalia
Average score: 2.8, Standard Deviation: 1.31, % voting 4+: 33%
Copy and paste a lot of the same issues from question 1. Obviously there was more interest in this one, but barely a third of players expressing strong interest so similarly unlikely (and doing option 1 would all but necessitate doing 2, as well, as even without running an official poll I am quite certain the Mr. Antlers sans penis would not meet audience expectation for those desiring that option)
3 Additional options to cling to masculinity
Average score: 3.43, Standard Deviation: 1.26, % voting 4+: 55%
This was the 3rd highest-voted item overall, while also showing up in some of the other "open ended" responses. The current game priority is to "finish" the main storyline/previously promised items, so going back and adding variants for this is a lot of complexity that we don't currently want to take on... but we will keep this data in mind.
4 HD remake:
Average score: 2.81, Standard Deviation: 1.39, % voting 4+: 34%
Somewhat surprisingly low score on this one, it's still something we might consider once the game is done, done... but it would be a whole lot of art and after this many years working on a single project we have some interest in branching out rather than rehashing. From a mathematical "huh" perspective this was also the most "even" voting, with all 5 options being 20%+-5%, making it the least "decisive" result.
5 Roommate
Average score: 3.8, Standard Deviation: 1.05, % voting 4+: 68%
Second highest score, and somewhat surprisingly popular. We've stated in the past that this was avoided due to the complexities it introduces, and that remains true so while we do hear the desire, it remains unlikely to be implemented for complexity reasons.
6 Neopronouns
Average score: 1.97, Standard Deviation: 1.16, % voting 4+: 11%
Clearly something of a niche interest. In an ideal world we would have baked this into things from the start but back-adding it now would be a lot of very tedious work so, unless someone wants to contact us and volunteer to tackle such, it is an unlikely change to be prioritized.
7 Achievement improvements
Average score: 2.74, Standard Deviation: 1.25, % voting 4+: 28%
I'll be honest, I was expecting this one to score better... that said, while I know what would need to be done to support this change, those changes would be quite a lot of code and complexity. This still may happen for "professionalism" reasons, but the low interest means that other work is likely to be prioritized.
8 Inventory revamp
Average score: 4.0, Standard Deviation: 1.0, % voting 4+: 73%
This was the highest scoring option, with the lowest variance, and it isn't particularly close. After seeing the early results in this survey we added it to a backer poll where it won handily, and we are actively working on the inventory revamp (originally targetted for 0.9.2, but we've run into some roadblocks and it may need to be pushed back to 0.9.3)
9 Anthro cat
Average score: 2.51, Standard Deviation: 1.36, % voting 4+: 26%
10 Anthro dog
Average score: 2.35, Standard Deviation: 1.34, % voting 4+: 23%
Taking these two together because the scores were very similar/it's a similar concept. While there is clearly some interest (though niche/polarizing, note the relatively large variance), and the anthro cat, showed up in some of the open-ended responses the relatively niche interest + branching into a bit of another genre means this is not likely to be prioritized.
11 Avatar options
Average score: 3.31, Standard Deviation: 1.22, % voting 4+: 49%
The fourth highest scoring option, and one that we do intend to do, the art requirements of doing so are fairly steep so we can't currently offer an ETA version.
12 Warp improvements
Average score: 2.93, Standard Deviation: 1.33, % voting 4+: 35%
Another one that I might have expected to score a bit higher, and that we do intend to get to. Full disclosure that the warp system is the most tediously unpleasant part of the game for me to fiddle with, which has lead to its ongoing state of neglect, we will get to it sometime, but gathering motivation for such is a challenge.
13 Replay functionality
Average score: 3.21, Standard Deviation: 1.18, % voting 4+: 42%
A relatively popular choice that, owing to how the game is constructed at an engine level, is unfortunately quite a bit more complicated to code than it may appear. We will take into account the expressed preference, but we make no promises.
14 Additional Language localization
Average score: 1.78, Standard Deviation: 1.14, % voting 4+: 10%
The overall lowest scoring option, and somewhat expectedly given that being in English the game is going to naturally have primarily english players. Of all the questions in this section this was probably the most "asking for curiosity sake" as translating the game is just way, way beyond what we have scope/money/capability to do. I know a few people offered to help (and we've had people reach out privately in the past for such, all attempts at such having fairly quickly withered after realizing just how much work it would be) but translating the game would be a MASSIVE undertaking. The 0.9.2 release version is over 2.4 million words, and we're currently estimating well over 2.5 by the time we're done, for scale, that is:
- over three times the English bible (new and old testament)
- larger than Baldurs Gate 3
- double the entire Dark Tower series
- larger than the collected surviving works of Shakespear, War and Peace, the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the entire Twilight saga... combined
Add on the possibility of gendered language challenges, and that some passages are dynamically composed so it's a code as well as language problem and... yeah. Baring a very rich benefactor dropping a very large pile of money on us I don't see it as a possibility.
Language support:
This was a VERY long-tail survey with a top 5 of: (note, percentages are out of the 243 total responses to this question, not the 1043 survey takers overall)
Spanish 23%/56
French 21.8%/53
German 18.1%/44
Russian 9.9%/24
Chinese 9.5%/23
After which things drop off fast with at most 3 votes for Italian, Ukranian, Japanese and Dutch and a bunch of 1's for a whole smattering of languages including Scotch Gaelic, Catalan, Polish, Bahasa, Japanese, Korean and joke answers of Pirate english and Toki Pona.
See prior question as to how much of a challenge it would be to translate the game/the unlikeliness of such. Again, I apologise if this question raised hopes but I was mostly just curious.
Content Flags:
note: only 511 total responses to this question
Genital synonyms: 40.9%/209
Foot content: 39.9%/204
Sexual content with men: 25%/128
Latex content: 18.6%/95
Use of the word slave: 11.9%/61
Sexual content with women 9.8%/50
Some interesting results here. Given the popularity we'll look to add some player configurability to the synonyms, and a word toggle for "slave" the other items represent either significantly more work and/or being (in my opinion) handlable via in-game choices/other decisions (if you don't want sex with dudes... toggle them fem). We will discuss the feasability of implementing a foot toggle, but it will at a minimum be up to backer voting for the implementation to be prioritized.
Merch (992 responses):
Merch Interest (432 responses):
Other items:
Dildos modelled after characters 53%/229: not currently available, we're doing some investigations but this one is a real challenge due to a combination of economics/shipping/etc.
Art book 38.4%/166: more appropriate as a retrospective after the game is "finished" we'll look into it, but another one that might be a challenge economically/require a Kickstarter or something
USB thumb drive 32.2%/139: doable, but the economics are a bit tricky since we don't want to be stuck with a whole bunch of SISS, Inc. branded thumbdrives and nothing to do with them.
Keychain paddle 29.9%/129: possible, but requires some equipment I don't currently own
Full sized paddle 27.8%/120: possible, but the economics would be a challenge
Pins 28.2%/122: we're investigating/very likely in the future
Posters (23.1%/100) and prints (19%/82): possible, we just have to figure out which images + shipping
Hats/beanies 12.5%/54: possible, but not currently a priority
Other items suggested:
Chastity cages: economics would be tricky... weak maybe
Buttplugs, fleshlights: similar issue to dildos
"Makeing of" book: similar/overlapping issues to art book
Knee socks: would be hard to "differentiate" from the general market
Plushie or figurines: theoretically possible, but the economics of designing + constructing would be a challenge to do economically
Temporary tattoo: possible, if we can find a source.
Merch designs:
Explicit character art 27.8%/125: this is a bigger challenge as some stores won't manufacture, but we're working on some ideas.
Quotes referencing the game 23.3%/105: In progress/likely future release
Non-explicit character art 15.1%/68: probable in future, it's a matter of figuring out which art, etc.
Game logo 6.4%/29: would be doable, but low interest means it's currently de-prioritized
Demographics:
These questions were entirely optional/asked for our own personal interest and are neither actionable or provably statistically meaningful... but hey, they're still interesting so let's look at the "data":
Self-identification of gender identity: (994 responses)
Male: 67.6%/672
Female: 16.3%/162
Nonbinary: 11.7%/116
Other (a varity of manual entries including genderfluid, femboy, sissy, Demi, trans-femme and trans-masc, CEO, and "a problem")
So this one right off was a bit of a surprise. I don't know what exact percentages I expected, but I wasn't anticipating things to be quite so 1-sided towards male, a clear situation of vocalisation = visibility due to the game having a very active trans community on discord.
Cis vs. trans:
Cis-gendered 59.8%/589
Questioning 20.2%/199
Trans-gendered 20%/197
And here we're on to another surprise, not necessarily for the numbers (though cis is a bit higher than I might have anecdotally guessed) but in how the percentages here look compared to the gender identity above. Overall I feel totally unqualified to say much more beyond that, other than to note the large number of trans and questioning players (expected), and to hope the game is useful for their own experimentation and discovery and wish them luck in their journey (and hope that they leverage references beyond silly porn game).
After some pruning of outliers and doing combinatorics:
Cis-Male 57.5%
Female, Trans 13.7%
Male, Questioning 11.7%
Nonbinary, Questioning 6.7%
Nonbinary, Trans 5.7%
Cis-Female 2.9%
Nonbinary, Cis 0.7%
Male, Trans 0.5%
Female, Questioning 0.5%
Sexual preference (990 responses):
Primarily feminine attracted with occasional exceptions 36.9%/365
Solely feminine attracted 30.8%/305
Attracted to many genders 25.8%/255
Primarily masculine attracted with occasional exceptions 2%/20
Solely masculine attracted 1.8%/18
Other 4.5%/45
No major surprises here, given the game's content, most players are feminine-attracted. The ~4-8% not feminine attracted were anecdotally known, but it's interesting to see the actual numbers (possibly higher than expected, but at that end of the distribution it's hard to say much with statistical relevance)
Partners (925 responses):
Serial Monagamy 38.7%/358
Permanent Monogamy 20.6%/191
Poly 20.1%/186
Solo 16%/148
Bigamy 4.5%/42
This one's a bit interesting in that a majority of responses were for some form of monogamy. The "solo sex" was perhaps a bit higher than I might have expected but, then again, solo sex and playing a single player game kind of "pair," as it were.
Sex? (978 responses)
Note: 1=no sex, 5=all the sex
1 3.2%/31
2 8.3%/81
3 23.3%/228
4 28.2%/276
5 37%/362
With an average score of 3.87 and a VERY definite tilt of the graph to the high end... y'all are (on average) horny... which is probably to be expected of a porn game. Still, the ~100 responses showing an overall disinterest in sex is somewhat interesting, and I'm glad that 10% or so of players have found something enjoyable in between all the smut.
Romance (983 responses):
Note: 1=no romance, 5=romance has primacy
1 3.8%/37
2 4.8%/47
3 19.9%/169
4 37.9%/373
5 33.6%/330
Interestingly an even higher average of 3.95, despite not as heavy of people voting for the top-end option of 5. I don't really have much more to say analysis-wise on this one, it was asked in case it diverged significantly from the sex option, but it did not seem to.
Age (987 responses):
18-20: 9.5%/94
21-29: 48.8%/482
30-39: 27.6%/272
40-49: 10.1%/100

Some interesting demographics here with the game being weighted young with an average age of ~30 and nearly half of players in their 20s, this is maybe a bit heavier weighted to 20's than I might have expected (but that's probably biased by being in my 30s, myself), but probably overall an expected distribution/taper given both the content of the game and being a game itself.

Nothing particularly surprising here, most players being English native tracks with the game's content/distribution, but it is cool that we have such a substantial multi-lingual audience. I will say that I am quite impressed with the 2.3% that not only play the game through a translation engine, but also filled out an entire survey in English. I wish I could offer a more localized solution but... see the "language" question earlier.
