Girls Night Out (Game) 0.1 Release!

As I have explained in my previous post, I am currently working on a game for Girls Night Out and I am happy to share with you all with the first release on here!

This release of the game is just the start of this ambitious project and it only contains all the past chapters of Girls Night Out. But this does mean that the story for Girls Night Out will continue.

Hi all,

As some of you may know, I am DannyTheDom, creator of Girls Night Out! I am currently working to turn my Girls Night Out story into a full game.

Some of you may be asking me "why?" so I want to address this question first. Girls Night Out was a adult fiction story and were presented in the form of text messages from a phone chat. This was done by taking multiple pictures or snapshots of the phone messages and compiled into one story. This worked fine at first because it was just displaying some text and images, but as I worked more on this story, the limitations of making Girls Night Out this way were starting to hit.

One of the limitations were the ability allow the user/viewer to choose or interact with the game. I have always wanted to make this story, into an interactive one where viewers have the ability to make choices within the story and depending on these choices, you may get different endings or outcomes on some parts of the story.

Secondly, because some of the adult content being used within the story are so huge in terms of file size, it became a problem to not only add it, but also to view it on the user's side. I still remember I got a message from one of my loyal Patreon fan saying he can't view the images with the story because the file size are just too huge and it's taking them forever to load.

Videos were also a problem. There was no cheap and easy way of adding videos into a text story like this. The best solution I found and used back then was turning short clips of videos into GIFs and displaying it that way. But as some of you may have seen already, it's not really ideal...

The list of limitations and issues I have encountered can go on and on, but it is due to this that I decided to start this project off after recovering from my long-break.

With that said, I have already made a start on this and are making good progress. The main plan for the first release is to convert all the chapters (8 chapters) I have so far and add them into the game. After that, new updates of the story will be added. I will try and be consistence and release new content for this game on a monthly bases, but please bear in mind that this is just an estimate. Since I've only just started, I would only be able to provide more accurate estimate for releases in the future.
