Hello everyone, I want to apologize immensely for my silence the last few months. I have been having some personal as well as career based problems for a little while now. And unfortunately the easiest thing to cut out of my life at the moment was the monthly updates about Goop Troopers. I have been working this entire time so let's go over what progress to expect.

First and foremost Goop Troopers is now a full screen based resolution. When I started this project as a complete beginner I decided to use 1600 px by 900 px because how could that not translate to 16:9, I know now how that doesn't work. So I have changed the resolution of the game to 1280 x 720 allowing for pixel perfect scaling in fullscreen. Goop troopers has always had a full screen mode built into all builds but I rarely mentioned it because of the scaling issues. Ctrl + f will full screen the game and I am going to keep that command going forward.

With the change in resolution the camera loses 320 pixels of width to display stages and this has caused issues in the existing stages. Namely the 2nd stage becomes nearly impossible to complete as many platforms are off screen. I am going to leave the legacy stages in game stage select for the next build but the current plan is to rebuild every main platforming stage to take advantage of the new resolution as well as the new collision system featuring slopes now.

I have built a new jungle stage 1 and have been populating it with spawns and new traps. My current goal is to have stage 1 and 2 as well as 2 new sex scenes available for a new public build down the line. I am using the assets for the stages I have already completed and adding new elements as my skillset is much more expanded than when Goop Troopers started.

My career difficulties have provided me ample time to work on sex scenes and animations for the game. Since the issues began I have completed a full new sex scene to go in the game. The orange goopmen flyers are going to get their chance to get a blowjob if they catch Ashley on the mission. I have built most of the code and animations for a new enemy I call the goopman creeper. He needs to be shot low and grabs Ashley holding her in place for other goopmen to catch! I've been working on a real nice title fuck scene for him and I really like the animation currently.

I have also spent time developing a sound playback system for the defeat scenes. I have been editing the audio from the talented KarissaPresentsVA and there are now over 100 sex sound effects in game. I actually still need to edit the oral sound effects to go with the new blowjob scene!

I plan to release stage 1 and the goopman flyer sex scene together in an update for subscribers as soon as they are in a good place. The next build will target a new stage 2 as well as the finalization of the goopman creeper sex scene. Once both are finished I will polish it for a new public release. Hey everyone its a new month so lets go over what I worked on in Goop Troopers.

I have been converting enemy collisions over to the new system to allow for slope integration bit by bit. There are times they change from one object to another and I need to make sure all instances have been updated. Some simple objects can be left as is but there's always surprising elements like the coins going down a slope that need to be dealt with.

I have been testing some new changes to how sound effects are played during the defeat scenes, I want them to play more naturally and have greater control over the animation overall. I have a lot of scenes in progress and I am really trying to focus in on them and finish them.

The new city tileset is the first to need a set of slopes tile so I did some tests and have come up with a scale to the tiles that I think works. I am happy with my current work so far on this tileset and I am beginning to work on background art to use as well.

Animation wise I have worked on the super soldiers walk cycle as well as another animation for him to use mid fight. I have also started work on a blowjob scene that will be used for the flying goopmen enemies. I think this animation will turn out really nice and I have some excellent audio to accompany it when its ready.

I have been testing slope implementation in the new stage and I think it is going to allow for much more visually interesting stage layouts so it has been fun doing early tests. I am really excited to implement them in the design of the older stages when the time is right.

I will try and release a new build soon when there is something worth running around in on the new stage. I will really need the extra eyes on bugs with the new collision system in the old stages. Hey everyone we are at thr end of the month again and I want go over what I have been working on for Goop Troopers.

I have been working on a variety of animations going into the game, sex scenes, enemy walk cycles and tilesets for stage 5. As always graphics take me a good chunk of time as I am not the most polished artist and I am constantly discovering new techniques to improve my work flow.

The biggest update to the game made this month is the new collision system I have implemented. A new collision function was introduced in an update to my development software and it has allowed me to easily code in slope collisions something I thought I would need to add in a sequel as I had initially thought it out of scope for Goop Troopers.

With this addition I have begun laying out the stage design of level 5 and I will use it as an isolated test of slope functionality in the game. I hope to eventually update all the older stages with new layouts once I am satisfied that slopes have been proven to not cause any issues.

Another perk of the new collision function is I started testing it by implementing it on a new enemy design that the game has been sorely needing. I did this in case I needed to gut it for any errors but everything has been working quite successfully. I need to create art for this enemy and I am shooting for something a bit more simplistic so I hope its art comes together quickly. The other fun thing about a new enemy is I get to figure out new defeat scenes for Ashley and I think I have one that will use all new audio and hopefully be a bit simpler to animate.

While slopes are in game I am still trying to wrap my head around tiling them. I have concepts to start with but I need to see the reality of how they look in game.

I am excited to see how this latest element works with all the other gameplay elements currently in game and I want you to know even when I am quiet for a bit I am still working on this project. I love having this project as something to work on and expand my skillsets. 

It is a lot to manage by myself and sometimes things are going to slip by me but give me enough time and we are going to get to the end of this project and have a great finished project to show for it.
