I’m Clarissa Tether, and I write dark fantasy for adults who like their stories gothic, intense, and a little dangerous. My work lives where demons, dark magic, and power dynamics meet: rope and ritual, bargains with consequences, and narrators you can’t entirely trust.
Every story carries a touch of Edgar Allan Poe: the slow dread, the feverish confession, the ending that closes like a trap. My debut novelette, The Tell-Tale Sigil, is a reimagining of “The Tell-Tale Heart” about a sorceress who binds a demon, a heartbeat she can’t silence, and a question of who really holds the leash.
