Hi guys and galls !

V0.89.80

This update is quite small due to me still working on V0.89.80. It has two POV events focused on Iris. One is super short and one is medium size.

Additionally I fixed Iris sex scene with the General. For some reason it was bugged for past few releases and I didn't notice it. It's E092B-3 available from flowchart and in game if you pick your choices right.

What's Next ?

Main goal is to finish 0.90.00 Unfortunately the dev of it isn't going as fast as I want it to be mainly due to animations issues. I hope that by the end of this month if will be finished and finally I will be able to move much faster with ending updates delivering you guys content quicker.

Meanwhile, If 0.90.00 will have more delays I will be releasing smaller updates with POV's to fill out rest of the flowchart. Initially i planned to fill them out after 0.90.00 but alas they came in to help me now, giving you guys something to bite on while waiting for 0.90.00.

A little sneak peek from upcoming update. As mentioned I will be releasing smaller update in a day or two. It will be focused on POV's.

0.90.00 works is still going, still have some issues so it's not fast dev as I would want but it's moving.

Development Status 2

Hi folks.

The shot is from 0.90.00. "Why is Jack standing behind window ?"

Unfortunately I am still working on 0.90.00 it and i can't release it at the end of this month.

Moreover due to various things like me having a flu past week and a half (i just got healthy again today), my job requiring a lot from me and stuff like animation problems rearing their ugly head nor I can release it early next month.

In response to those issues i will be releasing update again 0.89.80 in few days at start of new month with new POV scenes rather than 0.90.00. Those were being worked by me earlier so there is little more work to release them that can take me away from 0.90.00

0.90.00 aside from story ending patch has a lot of other stuff that i mentioned in previous post that also slows things down but they are necessary evil so patches after 0.90.00 will go faster and at some point stuff like ui will take away from other patches as well if not done earlier.

New 0.90.00 eta is middle of november. Hopefully by that time it will be ready.

Development Status and the future.

Hi folks, update on V0.90.00 status and what I am doing.

I said that there’s a chance for it to be ready by the middle of this month, but I am nowhere near the finish line today. So, I am moving this big update to another spot at the end of this month. Hopefully, it will be ready by then. Unfortunately, this is not an update which can be divided into smaller parts and released separately, as events happen over a single night.

As mentioned in previous posts, this update is a big one and I need extra time on it as it ends our main story. After that, we will dive into the endings (which themselves will be rather large).

Unlike a month before, I also don’t want to refocus on releasing smaller updates because it takes away from work on V0.90.00, and it is already delayed. I’d rather focus on releasing it and finally finish the main story. Extra POVs/scenes etc. can always be added during the next phase of development. There are still some missing POV’s from Iris/Sylvia side, but just a few.

User Interface

Work on the new UI has also progressed a bit, but this is mostly a side project for 0.90.00 and it might come after 0.90.00 will be released. I experimented a bit when I was making the game, adding stuff like Gallery and Flowchart, and you can see they are in two different themes. Overall, I want the UI to look like Flowchart for everything, with the same theme for a consistent “pro” look. The UI update will also add a proper patchnotes section in the main menu, some extra CGI art from our fellow angel supporters, and some custom ones with characters that will be unlockables, a lorebook to learn more about the world, profiles of characters involved, etc.

Translation/Proofreading

I started to look for professional translation/proofreading help. Once I will finish the main story while I will be working on endings, I'll let pro go over the script to fix all mistakes and improve a bit my "engrish". I also started to look for people who will be translating it into other languages. IDK about how much it will cost so far and I keep it at aspirational goal for now.

Audio

I also started to work a bit on audio improvements. Proper sex sounds, more environmental sounds, moans, a bit more situational sounds. Same with music, for a while I felt that my music is too limited and it was kind of getting boring around middle of game. I started to search for other themes that would more fit various states of characters during some scenes. Ideally each state of our characters like swapping, ntr, vanilla etc. should each have their theme along with division for character involved.

I started to experiment a bit with AI voices for characters but unfortunately as much as it is possible for them to express normal lines in a way I want they don't work correctly when applied to more erotic situations. Ultimately I would love to hire voice actresses but I know VA is very expensive and my game has a toooon of lines. Just translation will be expensive, let alone VA.

Prologue Rework

The first 21 events in the game, which end with Sylvia screaming at Jack in anger, were the first events I ever did for the initial release of In Her Service v0.34. Since then I’ve improved a lot, and looking at those renders, I decided to improve them. Those first events are important because usually people decide if they will start playing the game or not based on their first interaction with it. In my case, I think my best work is the latest, and the weakest is the first I did.

So, I also started working a bit on redoing some of the renders. There are about 300 renders in total to reshoot, and mostly they just need lighting correction and nothing else. So it’s not much of a workload. The point is that I started doing some work—though not much—but after I release 0.90.00 there will be some update where update prologue will be released along other patch.

There were 2 bugs discovered during that early access week: - you can't replay Iris NTR scene with general (to be fixed in the next update) - there is one minor bug where if Jack goes to sleep he can still say something wrong (during E099 night events) (to be fixed in the next update)
