This event focuses entirely on Iris. The update ended up pretty normal in size render wise but is smaller on script side of things due to variations (There are like 5 different Iris states). As mentioned one extra event was supposed to be in this update but it was pushed to next update as animations there gave me major issues and I will need to redo stuff.
V0.89 is next. This one should be much bigger and it will focus on... No spoilers :P Iris won't be focus in the next update though.

August is ending and this means that I wanna talk about sort of summary of my project since the start in February 2024. I like to do those kinds of summaries to see where I stand with the pace of the work I do as well as judge future by that.
Below you can read other summaries I did before:
So let's see the stats first... In that half a year since first anniversary on 22nd of February 2025 we went:

Updates: roughly every 2 weeks and 3 days.
Overall work efficiency I am pretty happy. There's slight slowdown in content production but that was mostly because I sat on Flowchart production for a lot of time which massively improved imo game, plus i have to deal with a lot of variations now which tends to slow down progress a lot.
Thankfully endings are around the corner and content production should increase it's pace as I won't have to deal with six different variations of events and think about all possible branches writing script. Obviously endings will have also barely any choices if at all for some which further means I can focus on the content for them.
Endings. As some of you read after next 2-3 updates we will dive into endings. Much like with General Arc those endings will be done one after another to speed up creation process and force me to make them unique rather than think about reuse of some scenes. When we will arrive at 0.90.00 I will make a post detailing exact approach, how much each ending should take etc.
I am hopeful that by 22nd of February 2026 I will be able to release 1.0 of In Her Service. Right now it seems very possible but it is hard to judge how much time exactly endings will take me to finish. Some will require less work while others will require a lot of work.
The plan:
In Her Service 1.0 I started to develop IHS back in 2023. Now that's 2025 here is updated roadmap:

Enchanted Edition is aspirational version of game provided I will get enough support from you guys. It would include:
✅ Voice actresses for Sylvia, Talia, Iris and Fiona
✅ Professional translation into FR/ITA/GER/SPA/POR/CHN/JAP/RUS
✅ original music for the game
✅ tighten up / reworked some of scenes for better quality
Everything after 1.0 will be developed as side project to my other game I will be developing after I will put 1.0 into your hands folks.

Final Sneak Peek before tomorrow's release. There are also some changes as you can see on this sneak peek.
I have some folks complaining to me that i spoil stuff when i post full sneak peeks. And it is kind of right.
Originally I went with it completely, but it wasn't sitting well with me. Sneak Peeks are there to tease on what would be in the next update and a lot of people who are yet to support me or would want to support me were cut off but that requirement whenever I would post sneak peek post.
Then I changed only to "NSFW only" posts hidden behind paywall mostly to cover Patreon policy (which also applies to SubStar) and still give everyone taste of what is coming.
This recent messages about spoiling stuff made me again reconsider and from now I will be posting all sneak peeks and in general all posts without any paywall. My game ultimately is free and it did not make sense to me why posts should be behind paywall.
So from now on if there will be some kind of nudity etc. I will censor images so that both my supporters and public can see taste of what's coming. And I think with such censor it will give a taste but not full course for those who don't want to be spoiled.
For now I don't know what to do with special renders but I will figure it out. Honestly it is pretty annoying as adult game creator that everything needs to be hidden like that and I kind of understand that companies like Patreon/Substar don't want to take a chance and get cut off.
Speaking of which, many of you probably saw what is happening in general with Visa and MasterCard in gaming not just adult gaming. It is kind of wild that it is 2025 and puritanism is coming back lol, moreover from what i can tell no one wants it. It's just wish of few powerful people in power and all of us has to follow their idiotic dreams...
My project should be safe from recent upheaval but you never know...

V0.88 is giving me a lot more trouble than I thought.
On Saturday, I will probably release what I have rather than delay the update and focus on incorporating the troublesome scene into the next update. The gist of it is that some of the animations I did just break at some point not allowing me to make further ones, and I pretty much have to not only scrap most of that event work but also redo it again so that I will use a different kind of animations with different setup to them.
Moreover, the schedule I posted in the release thread for 0.87 regarding future updates is also kind of not doable. I prepared scenes up to the start of the endings and some rudimentary poses and animations, but it's just too much work for one month (I still have to work at my job). I underestimated the amount of variation choices the game now provides that I need to take into account.
So the new 'safer' schedule is this:
0.88 should come on Saturday with what I have ready for that date.
0.89 should come on end of the month but it might slip to early September.
0.90.00 probably might take entire September as my first full month update. In worst case it might slip into October.
After V0.90.00, we will go into the endings one after another, and the creation process should speed up because I won't need to worry anymore about the many choices the player made before.
As always, everything I write is my honest estimation and everything might change. If there will be no further issues with animations then 0.90.00 might come much faster.
