Codex Entry: ARM-059 (Cerberus)

Power: ★★☆☆☆
Firing Speed: ★★★★★
Reload Speed: ★☆☆☆☆
Capacity: ★★★★★
Range: ★★☆☆☆
Critical Chance: ★☆☆☆☆

Brief History
Daniel recovered the ARM-059 from a dead USS operative during his rampage through the power plant. The weapon had been wielded by a suppression unit attempting to pin him down along one of the facility’s stairwells, though the rifle proved awkward and ineffective within the cramped confines of the structure. After reclaiming his gear and clearing the area, Daniel recovered the firearm out of sheer curiosity, drawn in by the bizarre triple-barrel design and the sheer novelty of the weapon.
The weapon itself had been redesigned from the ground up after Umbrella subsidiary Armacham acquired the rights to the original Tula Arms design (TKB-059). The corporation initially pursued the platform as part of a broader internal effort to modernize containment and suppression equipment following repeated failures with conventional light machine guns during close-quarters B.O.W. engagements. Armacham engineers were drawn to the original prototype’s absurd cyclic rate and compact dimensions, seeing potential in a weapon capable of overwhelming hostile targets through sheer volume of fire before regenerative organisms could properly react.
Redevelopment proved difficult almost immediately. The original system suffered from brutal wear, heat buildup, poor ammunition feeding, and severe stress on internal components during sustained firing. Armacham ultimately rebuilt most of the rifle from scratch, retaining only the core triple-barrel firing concept and portions of the AK-derived operating system. The resulting platform was unveiled internally in 1989 as an alternative to traditional squad-level support weapons. Its tandem triple-barrel arrangement pushed the cyclic rate to nearly 2100 rounds per minute, dramatically outpacing contemporary competitors while still maintaining impressive reliability and parts interchangeability through its Kalashnikov-derived internals.
The redesigned weapon also incorporated a heavily revised box-feed system intended to solve the prototype’s notorious feeding issues. Reinforced magazines, improved feed geometry, and stronger internal springs significantly reduced jams and malfunctions while simultaneously increasing ammunition capacity. Combined with retention of the compact bullpup configuration, the rifle carved out a niche role among USS and UBCS suppression squads, particularly during corridor fighting and containment operations where overwhelming short-duration firepower mattered more than ammunition conservation. Despite this, the rifle remained infamous for its violent recoil impulse, extreme ammunition consumption, and tendency to overheat during prolonged engagements.

Customizations & Modifications
Integrated Underbarrel Light/Laser: Combined illumination and targeting module mounted beneath the barrel cluster. Provides close-quarters target acquisition assistance and low-light visibility during suppression operations. Has Infrared and Low-Light settings for use with vision enhancement devices.
Compact Reflex Optic: Low-profile illuminated optic mounted directly to the upper receiver for rapid target acquisition in confined environments. Shares linkup feature with Gridlink wireless allowing for enhanced reticle functionality.
Chromed Charging Assembly: Replaces standardized charging assembly with customized chrome-plated components improving reliability and cycling consistency under fouling-heavy combat conditions. Significantly reduces jamming and misfeeds while allowing for larger magazines.
Extended Cooling Jacket: Barrel shroud modified with additional venting to reduce heat buildup during repeated burst strings. Allows for extended firing while deflecting heat buildup away from the user, and provides additional mounting hardpoints.
Three Stage Firing Mechanism: Refined timing gears allow for cyclical firing pattern, helping reduce the overall recoil of the weapon by firing each barrel in a staggered pattern as opposed to simultaneously to improve accuracy without reducing overall RPM.
Box-Load Combi-Magazine: Replacing magazine spring-systems with beltfeed technology not dissimilar to cyclical multi-barrel weapons like the M134, magazine capacity is increased without unduly enlarging the size of said magazines. Increases the standard 120-round box to a 240-round box of linked shells.

Available Ammunition
  1. Hurricane: Compact Armacham proprietary rounds redesigned for easier storage using a crimped box-shape for maximum storage size and hassle-free ejection using a nestled .310 projectile. Standard projectile.
  2. Hurricane-U: Specialized armor-defeating Hurricane variant utilizing a tip of depleted uranium. Special issue only, for use with Class-6 Armored B.O.W. evolutions. CAUTION: Radioactive
  3. Hurricane-I: Hot-tip phosphorus rounds designed for retarding extreme regenerative abilities in Class-4 Regen B.O.W evolutions. May also serve as Tracer loads when needed.
  4. Hurricane-Ω: Experimental antigen rounds loaded with soft-tip expanding capsule projectile, designed for terminating Generation 3+ Class-1 Carrier B.O.W. evolutions. CAUTION: May have variable efficacy in field operations.

Exclusive Upgrade
"Cerberus' Bite": Installation of a handle-mounted switch allows for an override of the in-built timing gears, shutting off overheating protections and allowing for unrestricted burst shots. Using this system allows for a fifteen round burst at 2800 RPM. Weapon requires short cooldown period between shots for gear reset. WARNING: Can cause undue stress on the barrels, and has been shown to cause significant kinetic recoil.

DISCLAIMER: Armacham is absolved of all responsibility for the following impairments due to use of the Cerberus' Bite system, up to an including broken bones, deep tissue bruising, organ damage, tendon or muscle tears, nerve damage, ruptured or burst veins, dislocation, and death by user error.

Jericho 941 (Judge)

Power: ★★☆☆☆
Firing Speed: ★★☆☆☆
Reload Speed: ★★★☆☆
Capacity: ★★☆☆☆
Range: ★★★☆☆
Critical Chance: ★★★★☆

Brief History
The Jericho 941 has been Daniel’s primary sidearm since his arrival in Raccoon City. Israeli-made and designed for reliability under harsh conditions, the pistol quickly became an extension of his hand, simple, sturdy, and forgiving. Purchased through the Kendo Gun Shop long before the outbreak, the Jericho served as his daily carry weapon.
After the Hargreave lab incident, the Survivalist overhauled the weapon with a full internal rebuild, replacing worn components and tuning it to handle the punishing +P+ hollowpoint loads Daniel favors. The pistol now balances brute force with surgical precision, capable of dealing increased damage while maintaining pinpoint control. It lacks the exotic flair of his later acquisitions, but its proven reliability makes it indispensable.

Customizations & Modifications
Reinforced Slide Assembly: Forged from billet steel, re-machined and stress-hardened to handle extreme chamber pressures from +P+ ammunition without sacrificing cycling reliability and removing the danger of catastrophic barrel damage.
Threaded Barrel: Match-grade replacement with muzzle threads for optional suppressor use, allowing for reduced sound profile without unbalancing the weapon.
Improved Trigger Group: Featherlight trigger balancing reduces pull on the firing mechanism, allowing for easier target control and better shot grouping.
Fiber-Optic Combat Sights: Red-green sight system for fast target acquisition in low light with tritium-lining for visibility under blackout conditions.
Marksman Grip: Customized and personalized grip shaped for better control when firing in succession, reducing recoil and allowing for greater precision at longer ranges.

Ammunition Types
  1. Hollowpoint: Standard load; reliable, moderate recoil, abundant.

  2. +P+ High Impact HP: Heavy expansion, extreme stopping power; Daniel’s preferred combat load.

  3. Subsonic HP: Suppressed use; slower velocity, quieter discharge.
Exclusive Upgrade

“Pinpoint Underbarrel Laser": Rail-mounted pistol-sized underbarrel laser suite that has both visible and IR laser aiming assist, combined with a microlight 1200 lumen flashlight.

Codex Entry: Mare’s Leg .45-70 Govt (Last Rite)

Power: ★★★★★
Firing Speed: ★★☆☆☆
Reload Speed: ★☆☆☆☆
Capacity: ★☆☆☆☆
Range: ★★★★★
Critical Chance: ★★★★★

Brief History
Daniel acquired the Mare’s Leg near the end of the Arklay Hospital incident. The weapon was found in the administrative offices, still clutched in the hands of Dr. Sundaram, a senior researcher who chose suicide over over being consumed by the undead after he led a team of hired mercenaries into the hospital in a desperate, doomed attempt to destroy the massive mutated flower at its heart. The rifle had been kept as a last-resort personal defense weapon, its shortened barrel and heavy caliber intended for extreme stopping power against B.O.W.s.
Daniel put the Mare’s Leg to brutal use during the final confrontation against the Axeman. The heavy .45-70 rounds, fired at close range, finally overwhelmed the creature’s regenerative capacity with Alyssa’s assistance, ending a threat that had resisted every weapon previously brought against it. The massive, overwhelming power from the massive rounds is offset by the weapon's compact internal magazine, single round reload port, and massive recoil due to the cut barrel.

Customizations & Modifications
Snap-Lock Stock: Detached stock that locks into the handle when increased stability is required, transforming the compact lever-action into a braced precision weapon while still allowing it to be stowed and drawn easily.
Variable Scope: Adjustable magnification optic calibrated for heavy .45-70 ballistics, enabling accurate shot placement at extended ranges despite the shortened barrel.
Integrated Laser Range Finder: Provides instant distance readout to compensate for extreme bullet drop, improving first-shot accuracy at long range. Comes with touch-connect functionality to work with haptic glove systems.
Recoil Compensator Muzzle Attachment: Heavy-duty muzzle device that redirects gas to reduce vertical climb and soften felt recoil, allowing faster follow-up shots despite the cartridge’s immense power.

Ammunition Types
  1. Steel Tip: Hardened penetrator for armored targets and dense bone structures.
  2. Bladed Tip: Specialized cutting projectile designed to tear through soft tissue and create catastrophic wound channels.
  3. Fragmenting Lead: Breaks apart on impact, maximizing internal damage against unarmored targets.

Exclusive Upgrade
“Monolithic Reinforced Receiver”: The rifle’s receiver and locking surfaces are rebuilt from a single reinforced steel block, allowing the weapon to safely fire extreme overpressure ammunition. This enables the use of 550-grain Monolith rounds, dramatically increasing damage and penetration at the cost of brutal recoil and slower recovery between shots.

Saiga-12 (Striga)

Power: ★★★☆☆
Firing Speed: ★★★☆☆
Reload Speed: ★★★★★
Capacity: ★☆☆☆☆
Range: ★★☆☆☆
Critical Chance: ★★★☆☆

Daniel recovered the Saiga-12 during the purge of Hargreave’s bunker lab, pried from a locked security room that had once been stocked for the lab’s containment guards. It was one of the few intact weapons he managed to secure before UBCS stormed the site. Heavy, brutal, and far from subtle, the shotgun quickly became his dedicated close-quarters utility weapon, especially suited for tight hallways, tough enemies, and sudden ambushes. It was used to great effect in subduing the Basilisk during his first outing into the world of anti-bioterrorism.

Customizations & Modifications
Folding Stock: Collapsible for storage and maneuverability, lets Daniel stow it across his back in a marine sling when not deployed. Shortens overall length for confined spaces and allows for quick swapping between accuracy and ergonomics.
Ultracompact Barrel: Reduces weapon profile, speeds hipfire response by a fair margin. Increases spread greatly, trading range for raw stopping power and saturation.
Breaching Muzzle (Modular): Reinforced muzzle device doubles structural damage against locks, hinges, and barricades. Can be swapped for suppressors or choke tubes when available, giving it flexible role use.
Angled Foregrip: Adds control, reducing recoil and increasing ergonomic control. Allows steadier follow-up shots, even during rapid fire.
Magazine System: Standard 5-round mags can be upgraded to 8 or 10-round extended versions. A 20-round drum offers unparalleled firepower but makes the weapon heavier and somewhat unwieldy, slowing aim and reload speed. Drum magazines may jam under pressure.

Available Ammunition
  1. Buckshot: Devastating close-range spread. All-purpose common round found almost everywhere.
  2. Slugs: Solid projectiles; accurate and penetrating at medium range. Semi-armor penetrating, deals excellent single target damage at short-medium ranges.
  3. Dragon’s Breath: Magnesium incendiary; ignites targets. Impact ignition and friction trigger reduces range significantly but can set flammable surfaces and materials on fire. Moderate penetration on soft tissue.
  4. Explosive (Fragmentation) Shells: Impact detonation; small-radius blast(5M). Capable of airbursting with the right modification, fin stabilized with eruptor charge head and fragmentation-cut body.
  5. Breaching Rounds: Frangible; ideal for locks and barriers. Designed to prevent ricochet and blastback, but less effective against hard targets.  Purpose built round.
  6. Taser Shells: Electroshock discharge; stuns enemies and electronics.  Very rare Umbrella-designed anti-BOW shell, capable of delivering 150,000 volts at a lethal current to the target.  Penetrating prongs are designed to defeat soft armor but may struggle with plating.
  7. Rock Salt Shells: Less-lethal deterrent; painful, blinding, useful against humans. May be effective against certain types of BOW strains,
  8. APDS Shells: Crackle-fin stabilized tungsten darts designed to defeat hard armor. When fired, the shell is sheathed in a discarding sabot, allowing for the round to shear through Level 4 protective plate with ease. Highly illegal.

Exclusive Upgrade
“Close Quarters Monster”: Grants the Saiga a select-fire system, allowing the operator to switch between semi-automatic, two-round burst, or full automatic fire modes. This transforms the shotgun into a devastatingly versatile weapon for close-quarters combat.

Mateba Autorevolver 6 Unica (Reaper's Hand)

Power: ★★★★★★★
Firing Speed: ★★☆☆☆
Reload Speed: ★☆☆☆☆
Capacity: ★☆☆☆☆
Range: ★★★☆☆
Critical Chance: ★★★★★

Brief History
Daniel was gifted the Mateba Autorevolver by HUNK after surviving his so-called final exam. Despite the savage beating he received and the capture that followed, the weapon was waiting for him with the rest of his recovered gear during his subsequent escape. Engraved on the side in simple lettering, apart from the factory markings, was the phrase In Morte, Libertas. In Death, Freedom.
Originally developed in Italy by Mateba, the Autorevolver 6 Unica was an ambitious attempt to rethink the revolver as something more mechanically advanced than its contemporaries. Rather than relying on a conventional fixed-barrel, manually indexed design, the Unica used a recoil-operated system that allowed the upper assembly to cycle after firing, cocking the hammer and rotating the cylinder automatically. That unusual operating method gave the weapon a reputation for being exotic, expensive, and mechanically fascinating, especially among enthusiasts drawn to rare handguns and unconventional engineering.
Its design was just as distinctive as its history. By aligning the barrel with the lower chamber of the cylinder instead of the upper, the Mateba redirected recoil more directly into the shooter’s hand and wrist, reducing muzzle climb and making powerful cartridges more controllable than they would be in a traditional revolver. Chambered here in .454 Casull, the platform pushed that concept to its extreme, functioning less like a normal sidearm and more like a precision hand cannon. The result was a weapon prized not for simplicity or practicality, but for its combination of mechanical novelty, brutal stopping power, and unmistakable silhouette.
This rare firearm has been heavily customized from the handle-up, with many of the parts replaced with high-tension, increased pressure titanium replacements with tightened tolerances to enhance function and accuracy. Why HUNK deemed it fit to give to Daniel remains a mystery, but whatever the reason, the message was clear. He was one of the dangerous few to have survived Mr. Death.

Customizations & Modifications
Heavy Compensator: Large multi-port muzzle brake designed to tame the enormous recoil generated by full-power .454 Casull loads, redirecting the gas expulsion to counterbalance the return kick from every shot and reducing rise by nearly a third.
Reinforced Action Assembly: Strengthened internal components improve accuracy and assist in reducing finger burn by creating a latch seal between the barrel and cylinder, reducing hot gas expulsion and increasing the overpressure of each shot, increasing muzzle velocity and impact power.
14.5in. Custom Barrel: Titanium-plated rifled barrel designed to increase spin and power of shots fired giving the weapon unmatched range for a revolver system. Custom milling and attachment points allow for the modular design to be swapped with shorter, more compact barrels when needed, without fouling or compromising the frame.
Death's Head Combat Grips: Enlarged recoil-absorbing grip panels improve control during sustained firing, sized and fitted perfectly to Daniel's oversized hands. Inline fittings and Gecko-brand stippling assist in preventing the gun from slipping or being knocked loose, as well as compensating for wet or slick palms and fingers. For reasons.
Palm-Connect Haptic Hookup: Microcircuits located in the handle link up to an underbarrel laser sight system that had all the needed connections to link into MilDef System Future Warrior project. Provides realtime ammo count and aimpoint tracking when connected to the FWS with supported software.

Exclusive Upgrade
“S.Cy.T.H.E. System”: The Super-Cylinder Tactile High Explosive System is an experimental Anti-BOW smart explosive payload delivery system. Combining a mix of pressure-sensitive micro-semtex rounds loaded into hollowed out .454 Casull rounds, the user is able to program an impact-direct burrowing charge that allows for maximum penetration, followed by a deep-cavity detonation, all at the touch of a fingertip. FWS Rangefinder systems allow for pinpoint accuracy, designed specifically to prevent over-penetration while maximizing soft tissue damage. The system uses advanced hydroshock monitors to gauge when the round has reached maximum penetration, which then results in a targeted shrapnel-heavy detonation.
