Brief History
Daniel was gifted the Mateba Autorevolver by HUNK after surviving his so-called final exam. Despite the savage beating he received and the capture that followed, the weapon was waiting for him with the rest of his recovered gear during his subsequent escape. Engraved on the side in simple lettering, apart from the factory markings, was the phrase In Morte, Libertas. In Death, Freedom.
Originally developed in Italy by Mateba, the Autorevolver 6 Unica was an ambitious attempt to rethink the revolver as something more mechanically advanced than its contemporaries. Rather than relying on a conventional fixed-barrel, manually indexed design, the Unica used a recoil-operated system that allowed the upper assembly to cycle after firing, cocking the hammer and rotating the cylinder automatically. That unusual operating method gave the weapon a reputation for being exotic, expensive, and mechanically fascinating, especially among enthusiasts drawn to rare handguns and unconventional engineering.
Its design was just as distinctive as its history. By aligning the barrel with the lower chamber of the cylinder instead of the upper, the Mateba redirected recoil more directly into the shooter’s hand and wrist, reducing muzzle climb and making powerful cartridges more controllable than they would be in a traditional revolver. Chambered here in .454 Casull, the platform pushed that concept to its extreme, functioning less like a normal sidearm and more like a precision hand cannon. The result was a weapon prized not for simplicity or practicality, but for its combination of mechanical novelty, brutal stopping power, and unmistakable silhouette.
This rare firearm has been heavily customized from the handle-up, with many of the parts replaced with high-tension, increased pressure titanium replacements with tightened tolerances to enhance function and accuracy. Why HUNK deemed it fit to give to Daniel remains a mystery, but whatever the reason, the message was clear. He was one of the dangerous few to have survived Mr. Death.

Customizations & Modifications
Heavy Compensator: Large multi-port muzzle brake designed to tame the enormous recoil generated by full-power .454 Casull loads, redirecting the gas expulsion to counterbalance the return kick from every shot and reducing rise by nearly a third.
Reinforced Action Assembly: Strengthened internal components improve accuracy and assist in reducing finger burn by creating a latch seal between the barrel and cylinder, reducing hot gas expulsion and increasing the overpressure of each shot, increasing muzzle velocity and impact power.
14.5in. Custom Barrel: Titanium-plated rifled barrel designed to increase spin and power of shots fired giving the weapon unmatched range for a revolver system. Custom milling and attachment points allow for the modular design to be swapped with shorter, more compact barrels when needed, without fouling or compromising the frame.
Death's Head Combat Grips: Enlarged recoil-absorbing grip panels improve control during sustained firing, sized and fitted perfectly to Daniel's oversized hands. Inline fittings and Gecko-brand stippling assist in preventing the gun from slipping or being knocked loose, as well as compensating for wet or slick palms and fingers. For reasons.
Palm-Connect Haptic Hookup: Microcircuits located in the handle link up to an underbarrel laser sight system that had all the needed connections to link into MilDef System Future Warrior project. Provides realtime ammo count and aimpoint tracking when connected to the FWS with supported software.

Exclusive Upgrade
“S.Cy.T.H.E. System”: The Super-Cylinder Tactile High Explosive System is an experimental Anti-BOW smart explosive payload delivery system. Combining a mix of pressure-sensitive micro-semtex rounds loaded into hollowed out .454 Casull rounds, the user is able to program an impact-direct burrowing charge that allows for maximum penetration, followed by a deep-cavity detonation, all at the touch of a fingertip. FWS Rangefinder systems allow for pinpoint accuracy, designed specifically to prevent over-penetration while maximizing soft tissue damage. The system uses advanced hydroshock monitors to gauge when the round has reached maximum penetration, which then results in a targeted shrapnel-heavy detonation.
