Update on Creating Characters On LinkInLove

Now that opening scenes are possible some changes are there for creating characters.

Character Side of Creation

For importing a Json file not #1 on the image above. You can load the json from there. To just focus on the Character side you can click the 2 double arrows at the top left right above that Json Upload button.

Tags also changed and are WAY better. No more long scrolling a single line list and you can just choose tags without it closing after each. Also 50 limit to tags... dunno who needs anywhere near that number but it exists.

Opening Scene

To open up the Opening editor you click on the node highlighted as #2 in the image above.

When in the opening editor you can make various things. They stack from top to bottom. Generally it will be in this order: 1) Background (fills screen) so may crop. 2) Character Image - lays over the background 3) Character Message, User Message, or Narration. Adding another of any of the 3 things above will replace the previous one.

Example if you have 2 character messages. The first vanishes at a click showing the new one but keeping the background and character image. Likewise you can change backgrounds and character images the same way.

Currently Character Images won't work unless you have a message after it like this.

When finished publish at the bottom of the node space.

Since I had to have a text box over my comic pages due to the limitation of how character images work. This may change I did talk to dev team about this.

Naming Saved Chats

This is a feature I've been asking for a lot so I can save a chat I like and come back to it later and by looking at the chats name I can know what it was about at a glance. To do this go to your Saved Chats and click the 3 dots. Then choose Rename.

Branching Your Stories

After loading into any story you can go to any message in the story and branch it off to start again from that point. All you do is go to the message you want to branch from and click the branch button showed here.

After clicking this button your branched chat will be in your Saved Chats.

New LiL Recollection

You can access the Recollection by hitting the button at the top of your chat below.

We get this popup when we do this. It will update itself after a set number of tokens appears on the bot.

You have an option to turn the Recollection auto fill on or off. Note that you can have 10 recollections maximum at once. If you turn off the auto-refresh the recollections there won't change and no new ones will be added unless you add them yourself.

You can also manually add a Recollection.

Notice you get 500 characters with each recollection edit giving you a ton of custom memory to add into the bot.

The auto fill into the recollection took place 12 messages into the bot.

Notice each one has a pin icon and the ... button. Pressing the ... button gives you the choice of Editing the recollection or deleting it, and the pin will allow you to keep a recollection point that will never be overwritten.

NOTE: Your pinned recollections are moved to the bottom of the recollection so they are still there if you scroll down.

Linkin.Love Multiple Chat Saves

A feature we all wanted was added Multiple saves and playing of chats. To find this feature click on the 3 dots where you'd reset a chat you will see a new choice Saved Chats

Once inside you will see a whole lot of chat slots. Depending on your subscription tier you will have a number of chat's you can have going on each bot. These are chat slots for each bot meaning you get new slots on every bot. This is the number of slots each tier has:

If you want to reset a chat and no longer have that save slot used click the trash beside the slot you'd like to clear.

Linkin.Love RPG mode released

The RPGs take 2 energy instead of the chatting normal 1 energy. To test this out there is a daily loot trial gift. You can click the banner to pull up the die to roll for daily energy. This energy resets each day so you do lose it day to day but you can win up to 120 energy.

You get 3 rolls a day. 0-8 = 0 extra energy 9-19 = +20 daily energy 20 = +40 energy.

This event will be available until November 20th UTC+0. Come try LiL if you aren't there yet with this new energy or if you are on LiL give the RPG feature a try. You can try it on any bot I'd suggest clicking the RPG tag and try one of those with the rpg feature.
