Zhi Qi new model voting (Ends on 23rd of October)
Hello Everyone!
With V0.36 now out, it's time to start working on V0.37 for me, but first, there is an important question to solve, how our beloved Zhi Qi should look like ?
Previously I've posted 3 possible options and I was glad to see you liked these possibilities, however, I'd like to add a little bit of context so you can make your decision a bit more precisely this time.
How the voting will be counted ?
First, I'd like to talk about Subscribestar roles and their voting power. The previously mentioned voting power listed under the tiers are now reworked. I didn't know how many patrons will I have when the first voting comes and I want a fair value given to these tier votings, while maintaining the power of free votes as well. So voting power under the tiers will be revoked and will keep changing based on how large my community grows. I don't want either side (Free or paid) to have an overwhelming advantage, because if free votes are just outnumbering the paid votes, paid votes become redundant, undermining their value. If paid votes become overwhelming, free players will have the feeling they don't have a voice. These are my reasons why I've created the following chart.
Currently, there are 800 ~ users on my Discord, I estimated that there will be around 500 people who votes and adapted the voting power based on the tiers, so it creates a 50-50% power if all players vote.
"How am I benefiting from this if I'm a Subscribestar member" then, you might rightfully ask. Well, the number of free voters are an estimation, it might be lower in reality, which immediately empowers the voting power for those who are in a tier, of course, if more than 500 people will vote, the voting power of paid members will decline, but there is a second layer to all of this. Paid members can also vote in the free poll, for an additional vote on their favorite Zhi Qi model.
So essentially, if you are - for example - a Tier 1 subscriber, you vote on the link only Tier 1 subscribers will get, there, your vote counts as 2, and you also vote on the free poll, where your vote counts as 1.
I think this both provides free players to make their votes count, while also giving benefit to those subscribed.
It might also happen that it will create a huge mess, but since I'm doing this for the first time, this is the best I could come up with, so I'll learn from the mistakes I make here.
How the voting works ?
There will be 5 different voting polls. One free and 4 for the 4 different tiers for the subscribers.
The FREE one, will be shared here, in this post, below and on Discord.
The ones specificly created for the different tiers will be shared here on Subscribestar in Private Messages, I'll send them out to everyone.
Everyone can vote once in one poll, you are not allowed to change it and I will not be able to help with it, so think it through and vote once you are sure you are making the right decision.
Information about Zhi Qi changes
Before you make your decision, it would be nice to know how Qi's character will develop in the game, what I have in store for her and what will happen with the other two models that do not win the vote.
Without dismissing the original idea of making Zhi Qi a traditional character, I'd love to add a bit more flexibility to her future scenes. The whole Chinese District in the game will be reworked with the upcoming patch, with new places to visit, such as the Onsen or a Chinese Casino where people can play some games, bet their money and so on. Alongside that, as already introduced in the game, she will be responsible for the island's "logistics". But that doesn't mean she will spend her time putting boxes from A to B, but she will sell the players certain items that can help with their energy problems, libido problems or... Well, you will see. It is safe to say that these type of products aren't always in the open market, where her mob-boss, darker side will allow her to shine and come in handy.
