The town's amphitheatre was locked up most of the time, unless there was a game of MurderBrawl on, or the Cyclops Brothers' Circus was in town.
But the local college kids knew a way to sneak in through the side door with the loose lock, so they could play a game they called "racing the clock" in the photobooth with the busted timer.

The villagers didn't speak her language, or even know her name. They just called her Big Sister, and knew that she protected them from bandits and raiders, and sometimes blessed their crops with her golden waters.
There really wasn't any downside to having their very own giantess. Except maybe that one time she tried using the wainwright's house as a seat but everybody agreed that was an accident, and probably for the best since he'd always been a bit of a dick, anyhow. (Shame about his wife and kids, though...)
After the first year, nobody could remember a more happy, prosperous time, so there was no objection when the High Priestess decreed that an offering of thanks should be made to Big Sister, to encourage her to stay.
