UNDAWN: Shackles Of Eternity is a dark fantasy adult visual novel.

Chapter 1 — Devlog #7

We’re almost at the finish line with the renders.

How close exactly? All scenes are finished and already queued for rendering, with the queue currently sitting at over 180 renders. That means I’m gradually moving into the post-processing stage. There are a few spots where it’s absolutely necessary. I don’t expect it to take more than a day, but there are still some renders that aren’t done yet, so that’s something I’m keeping in mind.

After that comes coding and translation. Translation usually takes me about a day to a day and a half, depending on the amount of text.

Honestly, I didn’t expect to reach this stage before the end of the year, even though I said I would. So I’m really glad things turned out this way.

Overall, the chapter is shaping up to be quite large, with noticeable consequences from the prologue and choices you’ve already made. Some of them will be subtle, others much more impactful.

Even players who chose a more restrained or distant path will have plenty to engage with. As I mentioned before, Undawn is a game where intimate scenes are a reward for certain choices, not the core of the experience. Story, atmosphere, and consequences always come first.

I really can’t wait to show it to you, but you’ll have to be just a little more patient.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I don’t usually know what to say on days like this, but I wanted to take a moment anyway.

I hope you get to spend these holidays with people you care about. And if that’s not possible, I hope you at least get to spend them in a way that feels kind to yourself. Sometimes that matters just as much.

Thank you for staying, for your patience, and for the support you’ve shown this project over time. Knowing that people are genuinely interested in the worlds I’m building means more to me than I probably say out loud.

I hope the rest of the year is gentle, and the next one gives you something to look forward to.

Chapter 1 — Devlog #6

We’re on the final stretch with the renders!

I’m almost done with one of the questlines focused on Loraine and slowly moving on to the next one. Based on how it feels so far, this next questline should be noticeably smaller and easier to handle.

What does this mean?
I’ll try to finish most of the rendering work before the New Year holidays. After that, once my proofreader has some time, I’ll send the script over for review. Realistically, I probably won’t be able to wrap up everything before the holidays, but there’s a good chance it’ll be done within the first weeks of the new year.

During the holidays themselves, I also want to take a short break. I won’t be able to spend them with family, but at least I’ll get some proper sleep and rewatch Die Hard and The Lord of the Rings for the millionth time.

I’ll also make a separate Christmas post with a small gift closer to the holidays.
For now, that’s it. Thanks for sticking with me!
