Future of the game.
After a great deal of reflection, I have come to a decision that will fundamentally shape the future of this project.
This was not an easy choice.
Over the past weeks, I’ve carefully analysed feedback, expectations, and the direction the game has been heading. And while I understand that some of you may find what I’m about to say difficult to accept… I believe this is the only path forward.
First - animations.
I know how important this has become for many of you. However, after honestly assessing my own capabilities, I’ve realised that creating them manually at the level I expect is simply not feasible.
Because of that, the game will fully transition to AI-generated animations. Every scene, without exception.
But this is only the beginning.
During this process, I also came to a more uncomfortable realisation — the visual novel format itself is limiting what this project could become.
So I made the decision to move development to RPG Maker.
This means:
- a full progression system
- turn-based combat
- quests and exploration
In other words, a complete transformation into a fully-fledged RPG experience.
And finally… the most difficult decision.
Rhiannon will no longer be the main protagonist.
After reviewing performance and long-term sustainability, it became clear that a futa protagonist does not resonate with a broad enough audience.
So the story will now follow a young male protagonist.
The setting will also shift to a modern-day environment, focusing on his return home after a long absence, and his attempts to reconnect with his family - his mother and two sisters.
I truly believe this direction will not only redefine the project, but also push the boundaries of what adult visual novels can be - bringing something entirely new to the genre that, to my knowledge, hasn’t really been done before.
This change requires extensive reworking of previous chapters, so the release will be delayed for the foreseeable future.
Thank you for your understanding.
Happy April 1st.
