Thanks to all of you who have backed us this month for the future Monster Ops serial.  

As I've told you, we won't have your Episode Zero until July.  However, since so many of you showed up, I want to give you something!  So here's some dev chat.

Monster Ops came about when I got a submission from a really good and experienced adult games writer who goes by MidnightRen.  He proposed a kingdom management game that was heavy on sex and light on story. 

Unfortunately, I've learned the hard way that we can't put out games that are completely different from what we normally do, or we get some bad reviews. People have expectations from our brand, so we need to always put story/art first.

But, anyway, I liked his writing and told him to keep submitting while trying to tailor things more for our market. He tried a few more times with perfectly good premises, but nothing that was going to be a guaranteed success.

We ended up chatting about what a successful game would look like and what notes we needed to hit. We ended up wanting to go for something similar to a popular ship out there, but that would also get the monster fuckers excited.

That's because I just started to work with the Monster Lover 2 artist, Meew, who's amazing at sexy monsters. I wanted to create a project that would give him more work with us. Check out his monster design for ML2:

I liked the idea of a military special ops monster fucker thing. We refined the concept and it was agreed that I would provide outlines for MidnightRen to write from.

Meew is deep in the Monster Lover 2 art and MidnightRen is writing one episode a month of Monster Ops. The first episode, the 'episode zero' will be done by the end of this month. Meew will start working on the art for this series in June, and we should have this episode ready to go by the end of July.

Some notes for Monster Ops:

Balasque from Monster Lover 1 (which comes out in July) is a main character in Monster Ops. He's the good monster who works with our heroes.

While there's lots of monster fucking going on, the main romantic focus of the series is on soldiers Tide and Wraith. Tide is new to the team and we experience everything through his eyes.

Episode Zero will be launching here, Patreon, Itch, and Steam at the same time. This is the free demo episode from which we'll make the series trailer.

Episode One will launch on Patreon and Subscribe Star in August for all subscribers for $5/mo. It will then launch on Steam in February 2025 for $6.99.

That means, being a subscriber gets you each episode 6 months early and for $2 less than retail.

Each episode will be 1 to 1.5 hours long and have two main CGs with variations. The CGs will be for sex scenes.

There is a ton of lore and intrigue in the Monster Ops universe. It's an interesting story loaded with spicy sex and a budding romance. All for $5 a month!

I just submitted the outline for episode 2 to the writer. I'm glad someone else is writing this since I need to write Monster Lover 2 and XXX Wrestling right now.
