Happy New Year everyone!
It has been a wild year for sure, as I continue to work on v0.7 there will be some changes regarding my releases this year.
Due to the increased complexity and work I'm adding in, I will be following a similar path to other AVN creators on not releasing a public version until the next version is out for patron members.
So what does this mean? If you're a patron, nothing, because I'm not changing anything at the moment. But if you're a free reader, you will be stuck on v0.6 until v0.8 is out, once v0.8 is out then I will release v0.7 publicly.
Why do this now? you may ask. I kind of always wanted to do it this way, I very foolishly thought I'd use that two week down time as a buffer to eventually push one version ahead. It didn't happen due to how much more time each subsequent update took.
That being said, will this bring in more patrons? Who knows, but I have to try something different this year, if it doesn't work out I can always revert back to how it was before. Plus the other issue, I have extremely low traffic to my Patreon page, I get around 1,000 something views every month, which is basically nothing, considering the CTR/Views I get on Itch/PGH/F95.(click through rate)ย
I hope the free readers realize that each update takes hundreds of hours to make and this decision was not made lightly. I feel that most people can just wait the two weeks, so the tipping way I ran things before clearly wasn't working.
If you have any suggestions on what you think I should do instead, please let me know.
Thank you as always for being a loyal reader or one of my lovely patron members, I hope you have a wonderful New Year!
