It's been about 4 weeks since that post, where I said I'd get it out in 1-2 weeks... As a first time game dev, it's hard to see the hurdles coming. This should be ironed out as I find my groove as a developer. Another part of the reason it's taking this long is because of a little perfectionism on my part. I want the story and art to both shine independently, while still working in synergy with one another. I won't promise another release date, but i'm 50% of the way through the very rough first version. I have the release post in my drafts, with all the relevant info of the game. Fingers crossed I get it out ASAP  🤞

Firstly, to simply brief anyone interested in my upcoming project, I'd like to clarify the timeline and structure of the project.

I plan to apportion the story into three acts, which will be further divided into any number of updates, which I'd estimate at 3 per act at the most hopeful to upwards of 5-7 updates per act depending on the circumstances. That makes for possibly 15-21+ updates post-release. I'd like to clarify that this is my first game, though! A lot of this is new to me, so the specifics of my workflow are all TBD.

I'm still alive!
I spent a *lot* of time working on my art style. I changed brushes, re-learned proportions, studied color, so on and so forth. I'm still not entirely happy with where I'm at, but we're getting there! I also broke my hand about 3 weeks ago, which stunted the game's progress :/

However, I plan to finally resume writing the script! I just wanted my art to be in a better spot.

I'm currently still navigating the script, but I hope to get the first playable version out within this month.
