I've been sleeping a lot. I'm not a fan of being sick just before having a long trip, this month will end up being pretty lightweight. Brilliant for one of the first months of a new endeavor.

I did a little bit of Star Wars stuff while I was awake, and I think it's funny how many Star Wars races are "funny hat" races. Like the Twilek and the Togruta are both good example: they're essentially a lady with body paint and a funny hat.

But they're so fucking cute.

I spent some time thinking about Star Wars vs Star Trek and alien design while I was trying to either fall asleep or get up. Most Star Wars races are incredibly boring - reused generic costumes, for the most part. And most Star Trek races are "forehead aliens", which are like hat aliens but even weaker.

But what makes Twilek and Togruta and a few other, similar designs so striking? Is it the impact of framing the face, maybe... basically a really nice haircut with fun stripes and shit...

ANYWAY, I also did some work on Moll. I'll be rolling out your requests later, I hope, if you have more let me know.

A relatively light post today. Busy week at Actual Job, hah.

I've been working on learning how to light scenes in Unreal, especially night scenes. Mostly that means I've been learning the theory movies use and adapting it, since the technical aspects of Unreal's lighting are less important than how we do it in the first place.

Now that I've learned all there is to know about lighting night scenes, time to animate a blowjob! I hear it's the weekend now, I should have time. Let me know if you think this screencap looks decently lit.

Time for MORE ART! I drew two sketches of Iri and Ayata having fun, with the conceit being that she's spamming porn to a distant Shark, and so it becomes the next movie poster. I thought it was a fun idea.

Three pages of Moll. Moll's run into a little barrier in that the fertility amulet (a flying keyhole) ended up looking like a flying skull, which isn't great. So I redid it to be a flying, uh... pear, I guess.

Also, a picture of my progress in Whisperlem, largely so when I share this public post the preview pic won't get me banned from Mastodon. I need to actually start animating sequences in Whisperlem...

The last subs-only post has some Mario in it, and the next one is gonna have the user sketches from the last one!

Now the question: should I be coloring stuff more? I'm not confident in my coloring, but since I'm producing so many pages of lineart for Moll, I should probably color all the sketches.
