Welcome to 'Ruling Avalon'

Conceived on the principle that an AVN can be both hardcore porn, and tell a good story, I will do my very best to test that theory with 'Ruling Avalon'. I (TM) have a great deal of experience in the realm of writing fiction, but an erotic story is a first for me, and I'm eager to try and climb this mountain. My partner, and the artist making some amazing visuals (DyanamiteJoe) has more experience in his field, and together we are determined to bring you an entertaining experience, and hopefully one that can sit proudly amongst its peers.

'Ruling Avalon' tells the story of a character who has experienced both great successes, and great tragedies in their life, and finds themselves at a crossroads. Will they embark on a new journey? Or continue to suffer the tedium of the routine they have fallen into? (Spoilers: There would be no story if we chose the latter)

This character is an anti-hero, and although you will play a rather large role in shaping their personality, and the decisions they make...that will in turn shape the world around them... you aren't going to be a knight in shining armor type. I want to be very clear with players right from the beginning; this story will have darker themes, and sexual encounters will very rarely be of the purely romantic variety. Don't say you weren't warned.

I also want to be clear that while I have set a goal for being able to work on this project full time, this project is going to move ahead regardless of funding levels. I know there are all sorts of business models out there, and we want you to know that we consider your support a privilege and a source of inspiration...but it's not a requirement. Until the game is complete, and moved to Steam...there will always be a free version of updates available to players.

I feel like this post is getting quite long already, so for now I will leave it at that. Further updates, previews and lore drops will continue here...as well as dev diaries...and eventually, and perhaps sooner than we had believed... 0.1 will be upon us.
