It's been a minute since the last update was released for By Another Name. I had to take a long hiatus from development, but I'm happy to say that the game is not dead.
This is my first game, and I did a lot of things - coding, writing, pacing - that I now wish I'd done differently. Because of that, my plan is to reapproach the game from the beginning. I'll be updating the code, rewriting a lot of dialogue, adding in new events, shifting some minor narrative elements around (especially around the mystery itself - I have a lot of fun changes in mind), and adding in some more early-game relationship paths, including paths with professors.
It may be a while (read: a long time), but an update will come. By Another Name will return and welcome you back to campus with lots of new things to see.
I plan to post some behind the scenes things here and there as I develop, but I don't expect anyone to stay subscribed while I'm working - it may be a while, truly. Your support means a lot, and honestly just playing the game means a lot.
