How are you doing? I've been experimenting a lot with new tools and upgrades.
In this video you can check a new exploration system I've been working on. It's based on the classic Resident Evil 2.5D system, that allows a wider view of environments without the hassle of a full real time 3D management (and way more lightweight for potato computers).
As you can notice, I still not decided which project to dive in next. The freedom to experiment is refreshing, so I'm not ready to commit to a project right now.
So, as I posted before, don't hesitate on pausing your pledges while there are no releases planned. I won't make any closed post until I officially start a new project.
Here's some news about what I've been doing past month.
ITCH RELEASES
I finally made an itch.io profile and published Lust is Stranger and Goons Raid Her. You can check them at https://the-architect-x.itch.io/ including a couple of new trailers for the nostalgic.
GOONS RAID HER 1.0.2
Yep. The Goons Raid Her version published at itch.io includes a full text revision by Berti and a couple of minor bug fixes. If you wanna just a patch for version 1.0.1 then download the file attached to this post!
NEXT PROJECT
No... I'm still not sure what is coming next. For now I'm doing something I really enjoy: screwing around with ideas and tools.
One of those ideas is a project for a Hack'n Stalk remake that I could also release on Steam. It would be a shorter project with no long term release cycles and it would be fun to rethink the stuff I made almost 6 years ago with a different experience level.
After waiting some time for new bug reports, I can finally state that the LiS project is officially done! And... every time a project ends, people immediately start asking what comes next.
I've been working on this for more than 6 years straight now, completing 5(ish) games all by myself. I'm not saying that to "brag", just to acknowledge how long I've been working for the worst boss I ever had: myself. And the bastard doesn't let me rest while there's a project in progress.
What I mean is... I need some time to chill before committing to a new project. Recover some sleeping hours deficit, fool around with ideas, learn Godot, play some games. Who knows... Maybe even spend a little more time with people I care.
I thought about pausing the billing while I'm off, but this is the only way I can receive support from people who may find out the games (most publishers and storefronts won't accept mainstream game parodies). So please, feel free to pause your pledges and follow the free tier while there are no new releases.
I'll keep posting here about what I'm messing with and maybe in a couple of months we may be back on the road for a new project.
