In case people are unaware, Subscribestar has just pushed out an update to their Prohibited Content Guidelines.

This was very sudden, and lots of artists including myself were blindsided by the newly worded restrictions Subscribestar has placed in their revised guide. This has caused a lot of panic, especially because artists such as myself are unsure exactly how much these changes will affect us going forward. I'm really not surprised this has happened, and in fact was theorizing that the Prohibited Content Guide would become restrictive, when the review post system was experiencing issues all of last month. ( Probably still having issues, hence this is going to only be a text post)

While I won't ramble and rant about too much about it here, of course I'm very unhappy with the changes. Not just because it will affect me, but because it's furthering the censorship and erasure of artistic expression for basically any and every NSFW on the platform. What extra annoys me, is the fact there wasn't even a proper warning or heads up given to anyone before these changes would be made. If I recall correctly, other platforms at least gave a date ahead of time before implementing their new changes. At the end of the day, it's their site, and they can choose how to run things, even if it means burning the patrons and supporters that use and fund your platform. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

With all of that, I'm making the decision to cease production for my Subscribestar Page immediately and indefinitely.

The new content policy has kinda put me between a rock and hard place, and frankly I rather not wait around in uncertainty for the day they decide to snipe and terminate my page without warning. I'm unhappy with having to do so as much as I'm sure some of you will be as well, but I feel like it's the best thing for me to do going forward. I was already planning on taking the month of April off from Substar, so I suppose the timing couldn't be more perfect unfortunately. I don't have any intentions to migrate anywhere else at the moment either.

I feel really bad about having to cut things so short in the middle of the month too, and not provide you guys with anything. So because I won't be doing the monthly rewards for this month (March), if you've recently subbed or resubbed to me, and wish to be refunded, I urge you to reach out to me. (Please provide proof of your Subscribestar username, what subscription tier you are, and what you paid for the month of March ((Up to $5))) I'll do my best to honor any refund requests, however I am only limited to giving out refunds through Paypal. If we can't settle a refund through Paypal, perhaps an alternative can be agreed on instead. ( Discount on a future commission for an example perhaps, etc etc) However if you do not wish to request a refund, I should still be able to receive the payment at the end of all this, and I appreciate the generosity as well!

I do strongly recommend everyone unsubscribe from me as soon as possible as well! I will be putting my account into Vacation/Hiatus Mode again, to further prevent any additional payments and billings from going through. If I understand how it works from the last time I did it and messed up, after a certain while, it will force everyone to eventually unsubscribe from me which is my goal this time! I wish there was a way to manually unsub you all from me or to issue direct refunds, but there isn't on here which is also frustrating.

Last big things I can think of is that I won't be deleting my account or anything ( I can't even if I wanted to because I have people subscribed to me) because I still have some exclusive art I've made such as the announcement pics for polls and such. I do intend on sharing those publicly sometime in the future for free for everyone to enjoy and stuff.

Finally, just want to say a very very very big and hearty THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me on here. I try to mention it with every post I made on here, but I am eternally grateful for the support and participation you've all given to me. I'm frankly surprised I've gone this long, or made as much as I have and it's because of all your valuable support. I might not be doing these polls or rewards, but I may still try to stream more often or find other ways to give back to the community. So again sincerely thank you thank you THANK YOU so much again for this I think nearly 2 years journey on Subscribestar!

I may still make other text posts in the future, not exactly sure, but if I do, everything will remain public as well. I won't be including images on my posts here going forward, just to minimize the risk of being targeted, sorry.

TL;DR
- Subscribestar updated their Prohibited Content Policy, many artists including myself are upset and will be affect.
- I'm making the difficult decision to immediately end production for my Subscribestar Page, going into Vacation/Hiatus mode indefinitely
- Please Unsubscribe from me as soon as possible, I should be able to prevent further payments and billing from going through, but please unsubscribe regardless.
- If you wish to request a refund for the month of March, please contact me with proof of your subscription and payment amount, and I'll do my best to refund you up to the $5 sub fee.
- I won't delete my account, and intend of posting the exclusive doodles I've made in the past publicly and for free sometime in the future.

Hey All!
Back so soon I know, but I wanted to just make an update post and I guess spread the news regarding Subscribestar. They made an update post on their very own Substar page regarding payment for subscriptions potentially being affected due to some maintenance. Been seeing other creators and stuff talk about it as well, and feel like it's just important to try to help people be informed and stuff.
Whether you're subbed to me or any other artists, just be sure to check if your payment info is up to date and not removed since I've been seeing a lot of that going around too. I don't believe there has been any word regarding the new or strange way they're reviewing posts now, but I'll keep an eye on things if they do eventually say or do something about that as well. Just wish they could be a bit more communicative when stuff like this happens as to not have creators panic and speculate the worst but I don't know. Guess we'll see what happens.

Finally, just want to throw this out there and sorta plant the seed in everyone's head, but I may be taking another month break/hiatus from Substar rewards during the month of April. I most likely will do another pause on billing and stuff cause again I don't want to take anyone's money for a month if I'm not giving anything in return, but I once again won't be home during the last half of the month to be able to comfortably work on the poll or sketch streams and stuff. I'll try to make a more formal announcement regarding all that later this month to try to give everyone a heads up again like last time. Very sorry once again. ;;;>>
