We've officially run out of videos!

This is something we had planned for.  Not with any contingency, but with the intent to stop doing videos entirely.

I want everyone to know that if you want to discontinue your donations, feel free now.  And thank you for your support up to now!

There will still be a handful of Shittywebcomics Weekly episodes coming up on the public channel, but only for the rest of the month.  As you've seen here, we've already recorded the final Shittywebcomics Weekly episode and posted it early for backers.  We have one more left to record which we're still working on, but that's going to be episode 249.

I might also do some streams on the channel every once in a while, but no plans and as far as all the "drama" or focus on comicsgate or rippaverse, they're beneath me and I had already rather been working on my own comics than even thinking about the.  I simply didn't have the opportunity to work on the comics very much until now.  This new year is actually bringing a ton of opportunity for us, which is great!

As a pointless aside, I want to say that I will absolutely NOT be missing the mic setups, checking volume levels, finding out they changed themselves for no good reason, etc.  I won't miss talking about fake indie creators who are actually just youtubers with no aspirations to tell stories, only to make marketable logos and empty shallow soulless product, creating cults with cultists instead of making comics with readers.  I don't know if our putting out more comics will involve us having to deal with those people or what we'll have to do about that, if we'll be forced to play the PR game in order to "grow our fanbase."  I think about this a lot when I think about our last upcoming Weekly episode we have yet to record.

I also won't necessarily be missing trying to schedule things out on Subscribestar, having 20 or 30 videos ready to be scheduled, but this site only allowing me to post 10 at a time or else it will start erasing scheduled posts without warning.  They did fix that eventually but there shouldn't be a limit on scheduled posts anyway.  A pointless hiccup that this site introduced.  Also, I made this on subscribestar.adult just to get around any potential "content issues," and also because I thought "maybe we can just start reviewing uncensored hentai" or something goofy like that, which ended up never happening, and as it turned out making this on subscribestar.adult only ended up being a bigger pain in the ass because our link ended up only being identified as porn by youtube's jeeted up censorship system.  These videos only being a way for us to get our minds across while getting support from backers meant that refuckulating our entire support system and splitting all of our videos onto some new site would just be a bigger pain in the ass than I thought would be worth it, when none of this really had anything to do with making comics.  This whole thing was really all kind of a distraction from our real goal.

As far as our Subscriberstar backers, though, I'll just say thanks one more time.  Your help has kept us going.  My brother and I still have a handful of notes and potential ideas for videos, but I don't think we're going to make anymore.

Instead, we're finally moving up to the next level.  After so many false starts or potential opportunities, it's finally complete.  I always say fingers crossed, knock on wood, but what I've been focusing on for the past couple of months has been finalizing our new system, and now we're finally ready to focus entirely on making comics.

There will be a new Kickstarter for our next book soon, and after that will be another and another.  Our plan for 2025 was to crank up comic production, and I was hoping we would've started before 2026, but now it's 2026 and it's finally time to go.  We have tons of stuff written and ready and lots more to come.  Just a few days ago I started having new ideas for an old comic series I had started writing back around 2011.  We might be making so many other comics that I might not even be able to get to that one.  That will be a good problem to have.

This is what we've been working towards and all of your (strange?) support has been helping us keep going towards.  It's finally taken off to the point where we can be truly independent, including independent of this Subscribestar.  As our focus goes into our comics, the Subscribestar's focus on the Shittywebcomics review/analysis videos comes to a very welcome conclusion.
