The State Of The Hat November 2024:

The purple hat was busy on Halloween! The hat was helping the Witch set up for Halloween, and the wind fought us every-step-of-the-way!

But, thank God, the rain held off. There was something like a 60 to 70% chance of rain, and while we felt a drop or two, that was it. The rain held off and helped make last night a great success!

The wind had other plans, but enough tie-downs, zip ties, and heavy pieces of wood kept the setup together for a wonderful 3 hour show! A lot of kids, and adults, went away happy this year!

Seeing the kids smiling, complimenting the setup... that's why we celebrate Halloween. Those kids are going to go on to face a lot of disappointment and adversity in their lives, but hopefully they will remember last night, and remember that some people can still be awesome. Me and the Witch strive to make Halloween one of those happy childhood memories for every child that stops by.

But now Halloween has come and gone, and what lies ahead is the coldness and darkness of Winter. It is time to take stock of the situation:


Re Education: Development will continue as normally. Next release should be at the end of November.


Dr. Valarie: Development schedule has shifted to every two months, mainly due to funding. Most of the funding for 0.11 went towards those massage scenes with Laura. I had to cut the workout scenes that would have shown Laura doing stretches in her exercise outfit.

I have also started using backgrounds generated by A.I. in Dr. Valarie. The sunrise over the forest was created by A.I. This is mainly to save costs, and I think it's a sensible decision. If I just need a one-off background, no sense in paying my artist $30 to create it, if I can just use A.I. to get something acceptable.


Facets Of Light: I think I'm going to scrap Facets Of Light.

While I have some great ideas for Facets Of Light, I realize that the audience for it would be pretty small. I think my time would be better spent making comics.
