Chapter II Post-Mortem

So, Chapter II released a week ago, and I'm pretty happy with its reception. We have some new people with us, and I'd like to take a moment to welcome and thank these new patrons, your support means everything to me!
What happens now?
Well, I've learned many valuable lessons from Chapter II. One of the main things that came up was that the game was kind of convoluted. For example, to see Sally's lewd scene, you had to jump through a lot of hoops (Don't hold her hand, have Charm 3, accept the handjob). Another example would be that in Chapter I, to spend the afternoon with Jane, you had to kiss her and not help Elinor in the streets, which was rather awkward.
What I would do now, is simply give the player the choice between spending time with Emma or Jane, while greying out options you don't have access to because of choices or stats, while making it as clear as possible what your missing out on without sacrificing story quality or hand-holding the player. I feel this approach would be much more straightforward, and I'll implement it in Chapter III.
Another thing that came up was how little content there was for how long it took to develop the episode. I do work on the game all the time, but at the same time I feel like I wasted a lot of time on trivial stuff. For example, Chapter I got to version 0.4, while Chapter II is at version 0.1 and will probably stay there. I just don't think reworking past chapters is worth it right now as the game is always changing. I'll rework them before the game releases on Steam. I also wasted time promoting the game on obscure platform for barely any gains, and it's something I won't do anymore moving forward.
My goal is now to give you more renders in as much time, as many renders in less time, or maybe even more renders in less time, while also improving renders quality. To that end, I've started some classes in time and workflow management, as well as in lighting and renders optimization. I will also stop making animations for now as it takes too much time and they are not very good. I'll focus on making great lewd scenes with numerous quality renders and take a class in animation down the line. I believe these changes will help improve the pace of updates.
