Hello everyone and thank you for tuning in to this week's public update.
This week we'll look a little closer at what's coming in Chapter 5 and also talk poll results from last week on what you thought of Avenging Angel.

The majority of the hype and preview content for Chapter 5 will of course be staying behind the paywall, but what I can reveal at this point is that Chapter 5 will have two firsts in it: We will get our first glimpse of the world beyond the walls of Sapphory City as the action spills over to the Sapphorian second city of Fivaviana, a large port town with a strong tourist appeal and a seedy underbelly.
The other is that for the first time in this chapter, you and Missy will be temporarily parted and you'll guide Abbie. I'm looking forward to creating content in which you'll guide our girl's sensible counterpart, and have some really great ideas for her.
Chapter 5 will be the middle part of the Reign of Jess. I had originally planned for these two parts to all be one chapter, but as the ideas kept coming, and more got added, I realised I needed to split it. And since Missy and Abbie now have two days in which to stop Jess, Chapter 5 will tell the story of what happens on Day 1.
There will, of course, be masses of Jess content in this chapter, and she now has Missy completely at her mercy. What terrible ecstasy does she have planned for us?
Poll Results
In last week's retrospective of Avenging Angel, I asked for your opinions on the new quest. A very pleasing number of responses across the two platforms, and 26 out of 107 respondants (so again, about 1/4) thought the chapter was perfect, thanks you guys.
The biggest number of voters said the loser should have suffered even worse than she did - I mean good to know that for the vast majority of you I can do even worse things to these girls and you'll love it, but man, how ruined do you want their lives to be? ^^
A roughly even split between the tone of the story being about right and not dark enough. One thing that I should say here is that the game is marketed as "light-hearted" and yet also our heroine spends a lot of time under the boot of others - and in act 2, there'll be plenty more of that - so I do like to try and make sure there's also some stuff in there that's not too heavy going - interrogating a suspected traitor by tickling her, for example.
The qualitative feedback I've had from people on this chapter has been very positive, and this poll suggests that there are high levels of satisfaction with plenty of you happy to see worse things happen to the characters. Which is good, because like I've just said, we have Chapter 5 next, and Jess is in no mood to go easy on her new slave...
