I am a software developer who likes to play adult games and some time ago I decided to try and make my own game. I dug into different game engines, tried them out and decided that RenPy will suit my needs best, so I went on and started making a game based on "Big Brother".
I know what you're thinking - "Wait, those characters don't look like the originals" and believe me, this is not the only thing that's different. My game takes place far into the future and instead of some villa in the suburbs, it's on a space station orbiting a distant star. Plus you're the only humans on board, so all the other characters are aliens.
Does that make it a completely different game than the original? Well, yes and no. Once you start playing, you'll notice quite a few similarities but also lots of things being done differently. I didn't want to create just a remake of the game (we have more than enough of those already), I wanted to create something unique that you'd enjoy playing no matter if you've played the original or not.
I can't promise monthly updates of the game - after all, it takes a lot of time to write the code, the dialogue and create and render the scenes and I'm doing this in my spare time, but what I can promise is meaningful updates and lots of fun playing the game. And if the game gathers enough support from you, I can switch jobs and dedicate more time to it (that would be the dream).
Here is a small sample of what you can expect from the game itself:
