January 16th 2023: Progress Report

Hello everyone, Rem here with this week's Progress Report!

A bunch of stuff to talk about today, although personally I don't think I did that much work last week.

First up, for work related stuff last week I did the code for the v.1.1.1e and billion bug fixes related to v.1.1.1e, and then finally finished up with v.1.1.1f for the last of the small changes. The plan now for this week is to finally hunker down and focus solely on the Lovense Integration with no more distractions hopefully!

Second, Sachinama has been working like a beast this month drawing up those stray pubic hair!!! We also spoke earlier last Monday, and we decide that in the DLC with the stray pubic hair, we'll also be adding two hair color variations for Karryn in the same DLC! Specifically, blonde and black hair. The DLC price will still remind $1 most likely. Honestly in my own opinion, the most important thing of note with the hair color variation is that it opens the door up for modders to be able to more easily mod in their own preferable hair colors.

Finally, and this will be about personal stuff so for anyone not interested, see you next week!

So, this is a continuation from the stuff last week about me having trouble getting good sleep. So I have been trying out a TON of shit all week, to the point that I don't even know which ones were effective. I will make a point that the night itchiness stuff was NOT caused by bedbugs, as some others have asked if it was possible that it was from bedbugs, because I spent Friday just cleaning my bedroom, laundering the sheets, vaccuming the bed and all that. And there was no blood or red spots or signs of bed bugs.

I was STILL getting itchy rashes while sleeping, definitely on Monday and Tuesday night, and I don't recall if I still was on Wednesday. But I also tried testing different laundry detergent and all that stuff. I also came to a possible realization later during the week that maybe the itchiness was caused, either because or in addition to bad detergent, by maybe food allergies? I do have a lot of food allergies I've been more careful at the second half of last week to watch what I've been eating.

As for the sleeping itself, I remember on the first half of last week, I was still having trouble staying asleep as I would wake up every three or four hours or so, then I was sleeping a bit better in the second half of the week (possibly due to the above stuff I tried to reduce my rashes?). Although I had a terrible Saturday night where I was in bed for over two miserable hours trying to fall asleep. This was went I thought about it on Sunday, and I wonder if there is a link between me drinking caffeine (specifically, green tea in the afternoon with lunch) and me not getting good sleep at night. That's kind of like a death spiral in that case, right? I would drink tea to try to get energy and concentration during the day because I didn't get good sleep, and then it would cause me to continue to get bad sleep afterward. While typing, I also remember that I would most likely get terrible sleep whenever I drink alcohol, but I didn't drink any last week so for this 'study', it wasn't a factor.

It was... a rough week. I will however end it with a hopeful note and say that last night aka Sunday night, I had an amazing sleep. Slept like a freaking baby. I want to keep that streak up for the rest of the week and focus on the Lovense Integration!!

I was going to wrap things up and end this post here, but I remember that oh yeah, I wear a Fitbit to bed so I have access to actual sleep data.

Jan 9 was last Monday, and you see I was in bed for 11 freaking hours, but that's also because I was waking up multiple times in night (the long red bars) and I was trying to compensate for the lack of sleep from the week before where I was getting like four hours of sleep for a few nights. Then Tuesday it looks like it wasn't registering the data properly but I definitely did wake up again after a few hours. Same thing with Wednesday.

Now Thursday it was the same pattern from the week before where I would wake up after a few hours of sleep and decide to just get out bed because it's morning and I couldn't fall back asleep. Friday night was a good sleep, it was also after I spent most of the day cleaning my bedroom and stuff.

Now onto Saturday, this was absolutely torture because I went to bed at 2am, but didn't fall asleep until past 4am. Absolutely awful night but I remember sleeping well-ish after falling asleep. Finally, last night aka "Today" on the screenshot above. What a good sleep, and I can tell it was good sleep because I woke up refreshed as heck for the whole day.

Anyway, this has been Rem's Weekly Sleep Diary Report! Stay safe, stay hydrated, and I hope everyone gets some good sleep this week too and I'll talk to you all again next week!
