As promised, here is an updated demo for the game. The demo is still a fairly short platformer and the majority of content changes from the last time, besides the new 'Game OVER' CGs and the implementation of a 'Game Over' itself are mostly related to polish, instructions, a new map system, a new 'cantina' area to rest and purchase upgrades at, and a save/load feature. There is one additional enemy from the last time, but all enemies from the last demo now have additional text content, some sprites have been redrawn, and new all have new CGs should you be defeated by them too many times.
Later versions of the game before release will be available to some supporters.

Issues Fixed

  •  'Game Over' sequence did not reset to the title
  •  Text positions with some enemy holds extended off of the frame when zooming in
  •  Collected Heart Container upgrades would not deplete correctly when losing HP

Known Issues

  •  Being defeated by the Stage 1 Boss may not properly reset the Boss room causing the fight to start immediately upon reentering the room, causing  the player to be blocked from proceeding.
    • I haven't been able to replicate this more than once.
  •  Some text still might not be positioned properly with some enemy holds
  •  Some 'Game Over' sequences show a large CG but not a sprite of the enemy mid-hold
    • This is still being worked on and implemented
