2022 - Week 13 - News Post
This week I've been working on the SubscribeStar content, and as you can see things have escalated between Alex and Kira, including a new side character entering the story.
Since there seemed to be strong approval for the idea, I'm going to start posting the weekly news post both on artofhawke.com as well as on SubscribeStar for free. The content of the posts will be exactly the same, so you can read and comment in either place. The main reason to subscribe to the free tier and read the posts on SubscribeStar would be if you want to get email notifications when a post goes live instead of needing to check the website. I'll be reading and responding to any comments in both places.
Next I'll be switching back to the HT2 comic and working on the next section which features Chloe Mercer. There are about 10 pages left to complete so I'll be trying to complete it as soon as I can.
There is a noticeable gap between the mesh and the flesh on the right side.
Sigh...yea you're right. It looked decent when zoomed out but doesn't really hold up close up. This is a super complicated issue because you can usually go two routes. If you use normal clothing and just sculpt it as close to the skin as possible, it is almost impossible to get perfect and is really time consuming. The other method is to use geometry shells which will vacuum seal the body perfectly, but won't span across the breasts, which looks weird. I had an idea after seeing your post however and created a brand new technique and piece of clothing that is a mix of both. It starts off as a perfect vacuum sealed mesh, then once the scene is ready to render, I convert it to normal geometry and quickly sculpt the span across the breasts. You can see the final result here: https://artofhawke.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/me.... I'll go back and re-render these scenes using this new technique for the new pages.
