Public release of the updated demo of No escape GE!
Heya people! Scriptor here with the public release of the updated demo! ^^
It’s been a good while since the old demo has been released and through the months there has been some pretty significant changes. Ranging from combat changes to bugfixes/typo corrections, stability upgrades and content additions… the old demo simply didn’t properly represent the game in its current state anymore.
As such, I’ve decided to give the demo an update so that it more accurately reflects what people can expect if they decide to support me and get access to the most recent backer-exclusive update (although with the small disclaimer the game keeps evolving and changing for the better ;3). Besides updating the in-game mechanics and code I’ve also opted to add in all the new content from the desert VR-world (believe me when I say those place-holders were bugging me as well). The updated demo thus contains all the content of the first VR-world, giving those who’ve played the previous demo a good reason to play through it all again. >;3
There’s a changelog added in the .rar file of each version, but in a nutshell the most important changes compared to the previous demo are:
- Performance/stability upgrades.
- Rework of the combat system; also introducing QTE events (although these can be turned off).
- New content: 4 new fail-states to enjoy, the first boss of the game; GODDESS, a side-quest in which Kathleen can serve goddess across three days and nights, a multi-stage boss-fight against goddess and more! (In total 650 new images added.)
- Sh*t-ton of typo corrections/bugfixes/balancing/quality-of-life stuff.
I hope you guys enjoy the updated demo; it’s been a long time coming. ;3
One last thing before you try it out; saves from the previous demo are incompatible since there’s been so much changes between the two versions code-wise (see the changelog why)!
