Sadly, not much to report on compared to last year. I've started working on my thesis for my Master's degree so that's largely taken priority over fiction/leisure writing, along with wanting to spend more time hanging out with my friends both online and IRL.

I released two more chapters for my G5 fic last year! One in June, and one in September. But between the two of those, I also released...

...My entry in Dezmo's NSFW contest over on FiMFiction.

Sadly, since I didn't aim for any of the specific award categories, I feel like the fic didn't meet its full potential and sort of floundered, failing to place in any category or as any judge's choice. With such strong competition, however, it was bound to be a tough ask. Combine that with the..."controversial" topic and the limited reach of G5, and I probably pigeonholed my audience of enjoyment too much. It was still fun to write, though, and despite appearances is not zebradom, nor does it involve non-consensual acts or raceplay.

Aside from school commitments, life is going to be changing for me a lot this year. My parents are planning to retire, and if I want to have any hope of job prospects in my field, I can't go with them. That means striking it out on my own when I've lived with my parents for my whole life, and the prospect is (understandably) rather terrifying. It's a lot to handle at once. I've got plans to try and share a place with some local friends of mine to stay in my state, but rent isn't cheap here and the job market is perhaps too competitive. I've got faith it'll all work out, but...yeah.

With all of that put aside for the moment, here's how my writing to-do list looks for the foreseeable future, in no particular order:

I feel like I've really disappointed the commissioner with how long I've been taking on this one, but he's been an absolute saint in giving me the time I need to make sure it's done right. It sucks to be the kind of person cursed with paralyzing perfectionism rather than motivating perfectionism, but it is what it is. This will be the last commission I take on for the foreseeable future, given that I really don't think it's for me and I'm also probably not going to have the time.
The story itself is coming along real nice, though. I'm confident it'll be received well, and I hope to have it finally completed within the next couple of weeks.

Still hard at work on this one, but dialogue writing is hard. I also don't have the plot as fleshed out as I thought I did, and it's slowing things down despite Scrivener being a godsend for helping to storyboard and brainstorm.

Sadly, not much to report here. Rest of my stories have been in a holding pattern while I focus on the Luster comm and my G5 fic. Maybe overcentralizing my writing efforts is why I've felt so stuck these past few months?
