Here’s a quick little addition to the Braingasm poll driven story that’s helping set up some big things! If you need to get caught up or just want to read the story in its entirety head HERE.

But that was going to change. She was going to change T.A.R.G.E.T.

They had found her not long after her Power-Gene had activated. Her body had gone through all the physical changes it would go through and she’d just discovered that she could use her breasts to supercharge other’s minds. The one thing she hadn’t yet come to truly understand was just how intelligent she was when her brain was fully charged. During her time “helping” the T.A.R.G.E.T. cell that had captured her she’d come to understand just how powerful her mind truly was.

If these men weren’t so selfish, sexist, and prejudiced against people with powers they’d see that I could be one of them, that I’m far more intelligent than anyone member here!

It was more than her simply being smarter and having a sharper mind. It was her P-Gene and the powers it gave her. No one understands how the P-Gene works, why it only activates in some people, why it can’t be forcefully activated without disastrous results, and above all no one really understand how the countless powers it makes work.

She’d heard a T.A.R.G.E.T. member say that the P-Gene was a cheat card for the laws of the universe. He’d meant it as a joke but when her mind was working right she’d thought about that idea long and hard, using the nearly unlimited library of data on the T.A.R.G.E.T. intranet to research the idea further.

There were countless varieties of superpowers yet some were far more common than others. Flight, super strength, superhuman endurance, and physical toughness; these were all powers most supers had at least one of. But there was another frequent power, one that she had: superhuman intelligence.

Those whose power was what they could do with their minds seemed to be able to push past the limits of what was thought to be scientifically and technologically possible. But managing to create what was thought impossible wasn’t the only amazing thing about those with superhuman intelligence. The more fantastical their creations the harder it would be for someone without a superpowered mind to replicate them.

A mad scientist could cobble together a doomsday device capable of blowing up whole cities or controlling the minds of large crowds all at once and know it will function flawlessly because they made it. But in most cases if a normal human, even one of the smartest on earth, took that machine apart and then tried to replicate it (or even simply reassemble it) the technology would fail to work.

The super science T.A.R.G.E.T. was obsessed with harnessing to change the world stood in the fuzzy zone where what was possible with normal science overlapped with the science superpowered minds had put into the world. Braingasm could see this so clearly, understanding on an instinctive level that this was why so many of their projects were so hard to complete and often resulted in spectacularly unexpected results. But members of T.A.R.G.E.T. were unable to see this simple truth and it seemed they never would because of a fanatical hatred of superpowered humans that was deeply ingrained into the organization. There were cells willing to use powered individuals like her, but they were only ever tools and never considered proper members.

All the way back to her small private quarters these thoughts had been running through her mind, making her headache. Many of the concepts were too complex for her drained brain and thinking them hurt and left her feeling exhausted.

But my mind will recharge before long, she thought as she laid down to rest, and it will happen far faster then they realize. She’d lied to all of them about how fast her mind recharged from the very first day they had her. She used the time when they thought she was too stupid to be of any use to make her plans, to plot something none of the T.A.R.G.E.T. members who used her would ever expect.

She was going to take over this T.A.R.G.E.T. cell and then she’d take over ALLof T.A.R.G.E.T. and make it into something far greater than the underground terrorist organization it was.
Braingasm was confident that they wouldn’t expect it to happen because they didn’t view her intelligence as anything more than a battery to be drained. They didn’t expect her to be able to outsmart and outmaneuver them because they only viewed her as a woman, something they barely thought of as human. And above all they would never expect her to turn on them because they didn’t really see her as a person, they saw her as just a thing.

But I’m going to show them all how wrong they are…
