Full Body Alchemist BETA-01 Build for Subscribers (October Build)!

Oh yea, it’s BETA time! I’m pretty happy with all of the systems in place and how they interact with each other, so now it’s just a big focus on content and polish from this point on. I’ll be looking to add in some QoL features that are requested by YOU and ones that I think of while I develop the next area. With this month being a bit of a longer one thanks to a 5th Friday, I’ve managed to buckle down and make some adjustments (and fix a lot of bugs that crawled out of the woodwork), so I’m pretty happy with the progress being made.

If the fourth area (likely the final one) takes about two months for the art to be finished like the other areas have, then I anticipate a launch on itchio/Steam in January. That’s a bit later than I was hoping, tbh, but hopefully I can get the Steam stuff done a little bit in advance so there are less delays.

Everything is ready to properly introduce the Dungeon of Dominance! This exciting new area has a host of unique events and new enemies to fight. The battles and special events revolve around the Role: Dominant/Submissive system. Each role will influence how the combat plays out and the skills available to each participant. There are benefits and tradeoffs to both roles, so explore each one and decide which one you prefer.

  • Dungeon of Dominance - Unlock and explore the third area of Full Body Alchemist after clearing the Nuclear Swamplands. Be careful not to be tied up and turned into a rope bunny... or seek it out and have some naughty fun while you settle into a dominant or submissive role throughout each run.
  • Dungeon of Dominance CG Scenes - Like the previous areas, there are three CGs to discover as you play with their own cutscene featuring the resident slut alchemist, Zoey. Clear the Dungeons of Dominance for the first time to watch all of them that you unlocked.
  • Explore... with PURPOSE! - Exploring an unknown map node will now reveal the general contents of two of them upon completion. Now you will be able to make more informed decisions about what you encounter next. Reveal each of them for a tier of nodes and a guaranteed Core Mod event will spawn in its place. +New Core Mods - Core Mod condition unlocks have been updated and cleaned up. In addition, 13 new Core Mods have been added to the game of varying types.
  • Change up your Battle Strategy - No more fake “Do Nothing” buttons... as much as I wanted to leave it in as a joke (get it, because the button didn’t do anything. It’s an inversion of expectations, because most would assume that by clicking the button, their character would do nothing, not that the nothing being done was for the button itself!) Unlock various strategies and choose how you want to play each fight.
  • More Research to... Research - Now in the Misc. Research section, you can use that stocked up Materia to unlock more stuff, including new battle strategies and some more Core Mods to purchase.
  • Map Legend! - Not sure what all the nodes mean on the map? Click the “?” button for a quick cheat sheet.
  • Battle UI Upgrades - Resting and Finisher chain attacks are now displayed in different colors (unless you’re Red-Green colorblind. Sorry >.<). There is now a visual effect for you and the opponent when either of you are in the Pleasure Break state and are vulnerable to the other’s Finisher.
  • Lab UI Tweaks - Alongside a slightly less blurry UI background, there is now a counter telling you that you have Misc. research that are available to purchase.
  • Battle Speed and Animation Skip - As suggested by a Star: For those who don’t want to know what’s going on, but just wanna go fast, there are now options that cut the buffer time in between battle actions down to an adjustable degree. Additionally, you can set it to skip the battle animations completely.
  • Tooltip Update - Hover over tooltips have been added to more places (like the map screen) and have been improved to be more readable.
  • Notification Dings for some Unlocks - Now when you unlock something you can research like a battle strategy, or a Core Mod you can start with in future runs, you will get a little ding with a pop-up on the side.
  • New CHEATS - Unlock of the Dungeon of Dominance and the ability to use all battle strategies regardless of unlock conditions being met are now in the CHEATS menu.

For those who want to go beyond and really support the development of Full Body Alchemist, I have a special feature just for you: Color Customization! Since this is so early in the project, I wanted to give you something a little extra before the cheats are implemented. In the customization screen, you can click the little checkboxes next to the color indicators to customize the color of specific parts of your homunculus.

Additionally, this lets you use the bondage preview in the homunculus customizer screen.

Finally, CHEATS! Some of them are as simple as giving yourself free Materia, while others let you ignore MP limits or start the battle with you and/or your opponent in Pleasure Break. Tweak the game to your liking, and expect even more to come. Just access the CHEATS menu from the title screen menu.

With the votes for the final area coming to a close, we’re going to the UFO Crash Site where all of the answers will be found as to what is happening in this crazy place. I’ve already started laying the groundwork for the special Hypnosis effects of the area and what the transformation, bondage, and enemies are going to look like.
