I ended up bringing chapter 1 in parity with chapter 3 graphics & game play wise when trying to make trailers/promotional material for the games.
This required a huge code refactor & I'm making chapter 1 free to play again for 1-2 weeks to help with testing/gathering feedback. If you missed your chance to play chapter 1 for free earlier, this is your chance to experience it in its best form. I'd appreciate if you send any bugs my way (hopefully there should be none that didn't exist before).

Improvements
● Upgraded boot worship game with all the improvements from chapter 3. even tweaked it a little bit over chapter 3.
● Better shadows for Princess just like chapter 2 & 3 so she looks less flat.
○ One thing you might notice is less blurry shadows but they're are actually higher res to avoid blocky shadows on Princess' skin. By lowering the shadow resolution, you can emulate the old look but expect the shadows on Princess' skin to be not animate as smoothly with that.
● Improved specular lighting on Princess' skin.
● Procedural head movement like chapter 3 so she turns her head ever so slightly to look at the player. Makes her feel more "alive" especially in VR.
● More anime-like eye blink animation.
● Slightly better vocal lip sync.
● Better usage of screen space when in dialogue - more of Princess is visible on the screen at one time on all devices.
● Should crash less on iOS safari due to less memory intensive audio loading.
● Autoplay disable option available here now as well.
