Another double release Thursday is upon us, so let's get to releasing!

First off, the newest release for Masters of the Ring is now available for Fan-Favorite and higher supporters! This installment features the end of the "show" but not the end of the episode. We'll wrap all the post-show shenanigans up next time. I literally just finished this up before posting here, and only did a quick once-through, so hopefully I caught most of the mistakes.

And in addition to that, Stories from the Island and the first two stories to go with it are now publicly available! I'm not going to go over how SftI works again here, but if you need a crash course, check the update from around a month ago. Hope you enjoy!

This update is coming a lot later in the day than normal because, as I said, I just finally finished work on the latest MotR release. Things have been a little more hectic around here than normal, but thankfully I was able to go into crunch mode and get things wrapped up in time for release, even if it was several hours late.

Now, to the update part of this update. I've been thinking about things for a while now and have decided to change some stuff up. More of a "roll back" than a real change, but I it's what I want to do, so... I'm going to do it. What's "it" you ask? Good question!

A while ago, I switched my release model up so that the main benefit for higher tier supporters (Fan-Favorites in particular) was more early-access time for the releases. I removed the exclusive one-offs and similar content and just focused on the early access to see if I thought that was enough.

Guess what? It isn't. Not in my mind, anyway. Early access is good and all (and it's not going away), but I truly feel that those of you who support me at those higher tiers deserve more. You're the ones who keep this going, so you should get more than those who play for free.

Don't get me wrong... I truly thank each and every one of you for playing the dumb shit I put out every month, but I want to do more for those supporting me financially. To that end, I am going to go back to having more exclusive content for supporters at Fan-Favorite and higher levels. Most of that content will come in the form of one-offs, though I think I'm also going to make every other SftI story supporter exclusive as well.

One thing I'm not going to do, however, is return to doing split releases. There will still only be one version of Masters of the Ring. The one-offs will all be separate downloads until this "season" is finished, and then I'll add all the one-offs into the final release, and they will all become publicly available then.

With the return of more regular one-offs will come a couple of more changes. First is more polls for Fan-Favorite and higher supporters to decide which one-off ideas come to fruition first. The second is a bit more substantial because it changes the release schedule itself.

I still plan to keep the current early-access availability as-is. However, I'm not going to keep trying for one a month releases with MotR one month and SftI the next (which would change when I finally get around to working on getting the new game ready).

Instead, I will aim for having at least one release every month, but there may be times that it's four weeks between releases as usual and other times where it might only be two or three weeks between releases. I won't ever let a full month go by without a release, though... that will remain the same.

That being said, I might release a MotR "main update," then the next release might be a MotR one-off or a new SftI story. It just depends on what I'm feeling like working on. I'll try to keep the MotR main updates regular, but I really need to try to work in time to get the new project going, so some of those "main" updates may end up being only a scene or two instead of three or four. I'm just going to be feeling things out as I go, so everything is subject to change.

I am going to start working on the next SftI release next, which will be a public one (after early access, of course) and it will be the "payoff" to the Miss Ass 2026 tournament. Not directly related to it, but starring a couple of our medal winners. After that, I'll probably do an exclusive MotR one-off followed by the next MotR main release. Again... all of this is subject to change.

That's the main thing I wanted to talk about, though there is one other teeny-tiny little thing that might impact my output dramatically and possibly (though hopefully and probably not) permanently. That little thing is Hurricane Isaias.

At the moment, it's looking like it's going to top out at category two and be down to category one when it makes landfall, but I am smack dab in the middle of its path on the Gulf Coast. As soon as I get done with this, I'm going to make my backups to my external drive and put them somewhere safe while I hunker down at my sister's house. Worst case scenario is that the windows get blown in and my computer gets flooded, but I don't expect that to happen. We have a bit of protection over the windows, but I've always been a glass-half-empty kind of guy, so I feel the need to point out the bad possibilities.

And speaking of finishing up, I'm going to leave this one here. I'll be putting the links up as soon as this is published... hope you enjoy, and I'll (hopefully) see you in the next one!
