News on Release 0.49

Hi everyone,

As I mentioned last month, this November edition will be a very special one, featuring a major new feature and new types of content. This will be a long post, so let's proceed step by step, starting with the major new feature before moving on to the real highlight of the month.

This is one of the requests I see most often: “I lost my saves. How do I recover them?” Now that my games are massive, with dozens of hours of content, having to start over from the beginning can be a real nightmare.
First of all, I'd like to remind you that there's a button to save to disk right in the save interface (it's even more prominent now than before). But if you've already lost your saves, I've created an alternative solution so you don't have to start over from the beginning.
When you start a new game, you'll now see the “Checkpoints” button (available to everyone, including public users). Here, you'll have access to a certain number of preset save slots that let you start the game from advanced points. No matter where in the game you lost your saves, you'll find a checkpoint close enough to that point to resume your game.
Something like this already existed for subscribers, but it wasn't great, and it only covered the early stages of the game. Now I've significantly improved it and made it accessible to everyone.
Of course, you can't have a preset save that's identical to yours, but you'll have some room for customization. First, you'll load a slot that indicates the percentage of the game already completed. For example, had you finished all the quests? There's a slot with 90% completion that takes you straight to the final stages. Were you one-third of the way through the game? There'll be a slot with 30%, and so on.
Once you've chosen the slot closest to where you were, you'll be asked to customize your game with some important choices—the ones that do or do not trigger specific paths or quests. This ensures the game is identical, or nearly so, to your original one.

Obviously, since this feature has a major impact on the gameplay session, there's a high likelihood of bugs. If you find any, please report them to me on Discord or via email at [email protected], including your save file with the bug, and within 24 hours at most (very often within an hour of seeing your message), I'll not only implement the fix in the game but also repair your save file so you can continue playing.

And now we come to the real highlight of the month.
Starting this month and continuing throughout next year, I'll be introducing a new type of content alongside the classic game. This content will fall under a category called “What If”.
The name speaks for itself and might give you a clue as to what it's about. “What If” scenarios are alternative storylines in which events unfolded differently from the canonical version. The difference between what happens in a “What If” and what happens in any alternative path within the classic game is that “What Ifs” have a radical impact on the story and lead to situations that completely upend the plot. All “What Ifs” have an ending; they aren't meant to last as long as the classic game. Once the story reaches its conclusion, there will be a striking final scene that reveals the ultimate outcome of your choices.
This content is, to all intents and purposes, a story. There will be no interactivity. There will be no simulation elements involving daily routines like going to school or going to bed. Instead, it will consist of a series of 30, 40 or 50 sequential scenes depicting the key events of these story paths. It'll be like reading a comic book.

These “What If” scenarios won't always be complete upon their first release. Some longer ones will be developed over the course of 3–4 releases. Since this is the first month I'm introducing them, I've dedicated the entire release solely to them, and I'll be publishing two substantial ones that contain a volume of content comparable to that of two monthly releases. Starting next month, I'll go back to releasing content for the classic game as usual, and every 1–2 months I'll add a new portion of “What If” content as a bonus.

Now, a clarification that won't make everyone happy. Although there's a substantial free preview, the “What If” stories were designed to encourage subscriptions. The complete stories will therefore be exclusive content for subscribers. This is extra work I'm doing in the hope of reversing the downward trend in subscriptions over the past two years and trying to keep my business alive for a few more years, rather than letting it die prematurely at the end of next year if this negative trend continues (Don't be misled by the subscriber count shown on SubscribeStar. That number also includes people who paused their subscriptions months ago. The actual number of paying subscribers is much lower.).
The classic game will continue to be free as it always has been, so I'm not taking anything away from public users—I'm just adding new bonus content for subscribers. This way, the game can continue to be developed even for those who can't subscribe.
Anyway, this month's free previews will be substantial enough to be equivalent to a normal monthly release. So you'll all have plenty to enjoy.

Now, a brief description of this month's two What If scenarios:

Uncontrollable Desire
This What If begins during your first moments of curiosity about other people's dicks. In the original story, this process is much slower and goes hand in hand with your feminization. Furthermore, the support of friends like Veronica, Riley, and Logan allowed your mind to gradually adjust to the idea of change. But what if your close encounter with a dick had happened much earlier instead? What if you'd found yourself touching and tasting dicks at such a fast pace and intensity—and without the emotional support of your friends—that your confused mind couldn't handle it? This What If presents an alternative beginning centered on your sexual confusion and desire to experiment more and more as you try to justify your new, increasingly uncontrollable urges.

Money Matters
This What If scenario begins immediately after the game's prologue. In the original story, when you find out that Sophie is being groped at work, you say nothing and let her continue working at the diner. But what would have happened if, instead, you had convinced her to fight back—and she had lost her job as a result? Without a job and with rent due every week, you'll have to scramble to find money and support her financially... and you'll find a man willing to offer you a job. What starts out as a reluctant way to scrape together money will end up changing your mindset day by day and introducing you to a new world of pleasure that will turn your life upside down.

“Uncontrollable Desire” is an ongoing story, and it will continue to be developed in next releases. “Money Matters”, on the other hand, is already complete, so you'll be able to see its ending starting this month. “Money Matters”, in particular, is, in my opinion, one of the most exciting stories I've ever written, and I highly recommend that you read it all the way through to the end.

That's all. It's been a huge post. See you on Sunday the 8th for the release.
