DEV LOG #9

Alright... Hey everyone!
This devlog is a little late... But you guys can forgive me, right? I'm sure you will, so let's just dive right in.
It's been just over a month since the last post, and progress has already hit 25%!
I think that's a pretty solid result, to be honest. Throughout this month, I've been steadily refining the core idea of the game, fleshing out the characters, making renders, and writing the script.

Most of the time, I was genuinely having fun just reading what I'd come up with. And I really hope you guys feel the same way.
I've also started slowly getting into how other devs make their games more unique...
Namely — modding. Mostly for the maps and items I'm going to need for the story.
It's going a bit slow so far... But overall, I don't hate the process, which means there's a better chance you'll see locations in this game that you haven't seen from other devs...
As for specific milestones for this update: right now, I've finished the first few scenes that will introduce you to the world and some of the main characters. The text is written, the renders are done, and it's all already coded into the game!
All that's left is to add music and sound effects later, and they'll be completely finished.

I've already outlined the ideas for the next scenes, as well as the ending for this update, so I'll get back to working on them as soon as I finish writing this post.
(Well, after I get a little sleep, of course.)
And... As promised, I'm continuing to introduce you to the new characters!

This time, in the render above, you can see a girl named Rue, who is a regular customer at our MC's workshop. And that's not because he does a bad job fixing her car... It's because her vintage ride belongs in a museum by now!

But since she just can't bring herself to let it go, she has to keep coming back to get something new fixed... And our main character is more than happy to help her out with that. After all, in return, he gets more than just money — he also gets a pass to a very interesting place where she works as the administrator...
But you'll find out more about all that in the game itself!

And... I guess that's all for now, so I'll say my goodbyes and get back to work.
I set a deadline for myself, so now I need to meet it!
(Without overworking, of course. Don't worry.)
So that's it, bye-bye!
(Oh, and yeah, this Friday I'll be doing a cross-post with a friend of mine here on Patreon. So don't be too surprised when you see another notification pop up...)
Alright, now that's really it. See ya!
