Friday Progress Update, Oct 02 "Peaches of the Caribbean."

Hey,

Another Friday, another progress report. And today, I stand tall! Today, I stand proud! Not the kind of proud you call your mom to tell her about, maybe. But the kind of pride you can feel when you've been hard at work and it shows!

But let us start from the beginning. In the week gone by, I haven't progressed the script a damn. I'm still at exactly the same place I was last Friday. Yep. No writing.

I hear what you're thinking. You hope that's not what I'm proud of!

Of course it's not. I haven't been writing because I've been in a flow! I've been rendering like a motherfucker. Busy, busy, busy. We're over 700 renders now. 700! That's a solid number for a release, by my standards. Of course, we can't do that. We have a goal set and we must reach it.

By my estimate, there are above 100 renders left of the Wednesday I'm working on. Shouldn't be 150 at least. Then the entire Thursday. Another 200? 250? 300? Who can tell! What I can tell is that we're going to land at over 1000 renders for 0.11. It's bigger than I had in mind, but that's fine, I guess.

It's October now, damn. But I can see the finished update in the distance now. It's way too early to talk about a release date, but it will be this year for sure. I've talked for a while about how I'm going to change the release into a tiered thing like most people do. I'll have to set that up in good time before release. I think I'll do a poll on that.

To distract you from the oncoming winter, here's a post-winter month: April!
My, my, April. Those are some slim, girlish shoulders you've got going on there!

So, a tiered release setup:
I have 4 tiers. So it'd be like this:
Top tier: Release on release day (duh).
2nd tier: +1 or +2 days from top tier.
3rd tier: +1 or +2 days from 2nd tier.
4th tier: +1 or +2 days from 3rd tier.

I realize a poll like this is heavily biased because most voters will be in the lower tier - I'm even making this public so non-supporters can vote. I'm just curious about the general mindset.

Okay, there were no questions this week, so I'm going back to Daz Studio! Thank you for reading and for your support. If you'd like a question answered next Friday, post it in a comment, or DM me if you want to be private. Or hop onto Discord. Peace!
