The Story

Jenny, a 18-year-old girl goes to the big city to study acting at a prestigious university. She's beautiful and charming, but also inexperienced and innocent.

In this game, you take control of her life and decide what she'll become.

Will she fulfill her dream of being a famous actress? Or will she fail and become something less glamorous?

Who will you meet along the way? With whom will she relate more? The people treating her nice, or the numerous pervs just wanting a piece of her?

Life isn't easy or cheap in Angel Bay, and she will need to keep a balance between studying and working to pay for her expenses.

Will she focus on studying and working her ass off to make ends meet? Or will she succumb to the temptation, and become a sugar baby for mature men in exchange for goodies?

Or will she do it just for the newly discovered world of pleasure she never experienced in her sheltered life?

The Game

Pizza Hot! is a unique mix of genres. The first impression is of a side-scroller, but it has elements from graphical adventures, visual novels, sandboxes, and RPGs.

The ultimate goal is to give you freedom in pursuing the path you want Jenny to take. This is NOT a kinetic visual novel with just some choices to make.

You'll be free to go to several places on the map at different times of the day. You can wear diverse clothes that will influence how people treat you. You can focus on various NPCs' routes and ignore others, etc.

In other words, I want you to feel immersed in the game world and relate to Jenny in her daily life, not just go through a sex event slideshow.

I want you to tell me this game has a 'soul'.

The Team

I'm Abelius. I've been an IT techie for most of my life until I decided to become a self-taught adult game developer.

I code, animate, write, and design, among other roles you'd find in a developer studio. All that in my one-man-army persona. I'm crazy, yes.

Then you have Naikal, a good friend who draws the graphics with his unique style. He does his own thing in addition to drawing for Pizza Hot!

We're just two guys doing something very difficult and time-consuming, without any investors backing us for the years of development any game needs.

Most of you are used to paying a given amount for a finished game, playing it, and forgetting about it until maybe a DLC is launched and you regain some interest. I get it. That's the normal way of how the game industry works.

Well... we're not in the game industry. We have no budget and no savings, and we're making an adult game, which is more difficult to publicize properly or cheaply.

Also, Pizza Hot! is going to be BIG, not just a small casual game with a very limited scope. We'll be busy for many years with this project, and that makes it even less feasible to wait until it's finished to "sell" it, even if Steam greenlights it, which is not 100% guaranteed.

For all these reasons, the only viable way of financing this endeavor is a monthly crowdfunding campaign, so we have the necessary peace of mind to focus on development for the years to come.

The Plan

The game engine is mature enough so I can do regular updates. Monthly, at present time, as I've decided to focus on content for a good while. Maybe bi-monthly in times when I need to add a complex game mechanic, or an entirely new location.

My mid-term plan is to continue fleshing out the game world with new events and things for Jenny to do in her daily life. All the while she slowly gets more open about sex.

And my long-term plan is to keep creating content for the game until you, the fans, tell me to stop and embark on another project.

This, for some people, may sound like a scheme to keep the money flowing, but... don't you hate when a game you love ends? It's a legitimate question because I'm also a player and I've felt kind of bad when I finished a game the author didn't have any intention to expand, even though the fans cried out for more.

And think about it: this is a sandbox game, located in a big city, with solid dialogues and a story that could encompass at least four years of Jenny's life...

If this isn't a game open for endless expansion, I don't know what it is.

So... it's going to be a long and interesting journey, my friends.
