📚 The Unseen Scribe Library Is Live — The Archive Is Becoming an Ecosystem

The Unseen Scribe Library is live—discover characters, lore, scenarios, and a growing connected Archive.
A few weeks ago I released AI Character Chat Extended.
Since then, I’ve kept building outward from it, and the biggest new piece of the Archive is now live:
📚 Unseen Scribe Library
The Library started from a pretty simple frustration.
There are a lot of interesting character tools on Perchance, but characters tend to live inside whichever generator or chat created them. If you find somebody interesting somewhere else, moving that character into another tool usually means starting over, copying things manually, or hoping the formats happen to line up.
I wanted something in the middle.
A place where characters can be discovered, shared, exported, brought into Chat, and eventually moved between more of the tools around the Archive.
That is what the Library is becoming.
Browse Library characters alongside supported external sources, with clear attribution, tags, search, filters, and handoffs.

Right now you can browse characters published directly to the Library alongside characters and scenarios from supported external sources, search and filter them, open compatible characters in AI Character Chat Extended, share Library links, download JSON, and download Character Card PNGs where the source supports them.
Characters can move beyond the Library through share links, Chat handoff, JSON exports, and Character Card PNGs.

The important part to me is that outside content stays outside.
If the Library shows something from another provider, it does not silently republish that character as mine or pretend the Library created it. The source and creator stay visible, and the Library only retrieves the additional character data when you actually choose to use or download it.
That has also made integrations with other creators much more interesting.
Enhanced Character Creator is already supported, and a FurAI integration/partnership is scheduled to go live Monday.
The long-term idea is that another creator should be able to make a good character tool without having to surrender that character to my ecosystem. Their tool can send a character toward the Library, the Library can preserve where it came from, and people can still be sent back toward the creator who made the tool.
That feels much healthier than trying to make every part of this myself.
The rest of the Archive is starting to connect around it
AI Character Chat Extended has grown quite a bit since I first posted it.

AI Character Chat Extended now supports richer multi-character conversations, including directed replies and shared scenes.

AI Character Chat Extended now supports richer multi-character conversations, including directed replies and shared scenes.
It now has AI-to-AI conversations, @ mentions for directing individual characters, per-character private background information, first-person POV images, better character searching and sorting, improved import/export, multi-character conversations, Database Rescue for large original Character Chat databases, tighter Library integration, and a lot of smaller work around lore, memory, context and long-running chats.
The multi-character side in particular is becoming much more useful. You can bring several characters into the same conversation without having every character answer every message.
Then there is AI Character Generator Extended:
That is increasingly becoming the creation side of the flow.
And AI Story Generator Extended:
That one is earlier in its development, but eventually I want Story to be able to use the same characters and locations instead of making you rebuild everything again.
So the direction is becoming pretty clear:
create a character → share or discover them in the Library → chat with them → eventually use that same character in stories
There is also the Unseen Scribe Image Lab, which currently shows the 16 visual styles I’ve been building around the ecosystem:

And everything lives together here:
What started as me extending one character chat is turning into something much larger than I expected.
I’m trying to make the pieces increasingly useful together, while still leaving room for other Perchance creators and external tools to plug into the same flow.
The Library is the first point where that larger shape really feels visible.
There is still a lot I want to build, and everything is very much alive and changing, so if you try it and something is confusing, breaks on a particular character/source, or makes you think “this really ought to connect to ___”, tell me.
Those are exactly the kinds of things I want to hear right now.
