Devlog 23: World

Hi! We're continuing to improve the base version and to prepare for the DLC!

So what's today's devlog about? About the game's world! As you know, "Life with the tribe!" is an isekai story, since our main character ended up in another world when he fell off a ship during a storm. We learn about this world by exploring it and meeting various monster girls who want the main character's cum!

But because of a limitation (the game has no text), it's fairly hard to tell the story of the world. Of course I have cutscenes, as well as events you find while exploring, but they aren't enough. So in order to tell you about the game's world more clearly, I decided to try something new.

Yes, this is a map of the world. Yes, it's bad, but it's a start. With the help of the world map I'll be able to tell you more about this world, because now you'll know for certain that all the events take place on just one small island!

But that's not all:

A new type of events and possibly… dialogues. For now I'm still thinking it over, but there might be a point in doing dialogues this way. It'll require more work, but with a dialogue format like this it'll be clearer what exactly is being asked of the player!
But let's get back to the game's world. I spent a long time thinking about whether to merge this world with the other games I have (namely "Forest Home" and "This village need help"), and I came to the conclusion that it's possible. The events happening in "Life with the tribe!" can exist in parallel to the other games, since they're isolated on one of the many islands that exist in the world of these games. And the logic and principles of the worlds are effectively the same.
So what is this world, then? Well, I named this world "Mares", and there's no logic whatsoever behind the name. The essence of the world is that countless monster girls live here, as well as ordinary women, but there are far too few men and futanari in this world. So those who have a dick in this world are always at risk of being "defeated". This is the law of the world — the one who dominates receives a part of the defeated one's life force.
Life force is usually obtained specifically through sex between two participants, the defeated one and the victor. It doesn't kill, but the loss of life force has a bad effect on those who have a dick, and because there are always more women (the approximate ratio is 1:20 for the human race, and in other races the difference is even bigger), futanari and men always have problems with aggressive women who don't want to be subdued.
This requires men and futanari to always be stronger than the others, and to defeat those who encroach on their "life force". Of course, obtaining life force from women makes the men and futanari themselves stronger, so there are also those who, on the contrary, try to "defeat" everyone. But those who go down that path may run into losing their mind because of the Miasma.
The Miasma is something that exists in this world; it's similar to a virus that exists inside everyone and that's impossible to get rid of. The Miasma amplifies emotions and desires, and the more someone gives in to their desires, the more the Miasma takes hold of its carrier's mind. Women, men, futanari — anyone who gives in to their desires can lose their mind and become an animal with no common sense. That's why there exist women / monster girls who can't communicate and who look for men or futanari to suck out all of their life force, and also men and futanari who attack every woman they meet…
But if the life force always goes to the one who won, then what happens when both sides agree to sex? In that case they exchange life force, which increases the chance of the woman's / futanari's pregnancy. The perfect example of this is the situation the main character of "Life with the tribe" finds himself in, since the women of the tribe have no aggressive intentions towards the main character, and when the main character initiates sex, they agree to it, and as a result each of the women gets pregnant.
And although I've only touched on a couple of basic things about this world, I have far more details, events and stories of this world written down. Things like the Labyrinthanium, the Mountain of Monsters, the Desert of Gods, the flying academy, and more… I'll try to show some things in "Life with the tribe", but since this island has almost no Miasma in it because of a certain someone who lives on it, I'll try to tell you more about the monster girls instead.
If you're interested in learning more about my work on the world's lore, write about it, since I worked on the worldbuilding for a long time, and even though it's full of clichés, I like some of those clichés and maybe you'll like them too.
