I Have Known You | v5.01 Dev Report | September 2026

Hey subscribers!

It’s time for another short progress report for I Have Known You.

Work on Chapter 5 is moving forward, but it’s been a bit slower than I would like.

Chapter 5 - Current Progress
  • 403 new renders
  • 3 animation
  • 7 scenes

My estimate is that the next build will be ready once I reach around 600 renders. I’m getting closer, but there’s still quite a bit of work to do before I can call the update finished.

I’ll keep working on it and hopefully won’t keep you waiting too long. :)

I Took a Two-Week Vacation

I also want to mention that I took about two weeks off and went to the seaside to clear my head, relax, and take a proper break from development.

Because of that, progress was a little slower during this period than it normally would be.

But I’m back now, refreshed and ready to get back into production. 😄

My goal from now on is to increase my production speed to around 150 renders per week, so hopefully the next update will start coming together much faster.

Steam & GOG Release Date Update

One more important update regarding the release.

I currently have October 15, 2026 set as the planned release date for the Steam and GOG versions.

However, based on the current development progress, it looks like I’ll probably need to move the release to November.

I don’t want to rush the final part of development just to hit an October date. The game will be released this year, either in October or November, but at this point, November is looking more realistic.

I’ll keep you updated as we get closer and have a much clearer picture of the final release schedule.

You can wishlist game on STEAM and on GOG.

Molly’s Scene Is Moving to DLC

If you remember, in my previous updates I mentioned that I was working on an NSFW scene with Molly on the train, which was originally planned to be included in the first chapter.

I planned to make this scene part of the main story, but after implementing it and playing through the beginning again, something felt off.

MC would basically have two NSFW scenes before he even arrives in Wildflower, and that made the opening feel much more focused on NSFW content than I intended.

That’s not really what I Have Known You is supposed to be. The story is about relationships, mystery, character development, and paranormal elements, with NSFW content being part of the experience rather than defining the entire beginning.

So I decided to remove Molly’s scene from the main story.

However, I don't want all the work that went into the scene to go to waste, so I’ll release it as an optional FREE DLC, similar to what we did with the Tiffany DLC.

This way, the scene will still be available for those who want to see it, while the main story can keep the pacing and tone I originally intended.

The DLC scene currently has 102 renders and 3 animations, so there’s still plenty of content going into it despite being removed from the main story. More about it soon!

Gina’s Scene - Massage at Moneys

I also decided to extend Gina’s scene, where you visit her at Moneys to get some information about the picture you found.

Originally, the scene ended after the innocent massage on her back, but I felt there was an opportunity to take it a bit further. You’ll now be able to progress further with the massage and give her a happy ending.

I know some of you would love to see Gina in a scene like this, so I thought it would be a nice addition to the game. 😉

Going Back Through the Entire Game

Something else I’ve been working on recently is proofreading and polishing the whole game.

While doing this, I noticed that some clues and parts of the storyline were there, but sometimes something didn't quite connect from one scene to the next.

There were moments where I knew what I was trying to communicate, but looking at it from the player's perspective, the connection wasn't always clear enough.

So I'm going back and fixing those parts.

I'm improving some dialogue, adding or adjusting small clues, fixing inconsistencies, and making sure that information introduced earlier actually flows naturally into what happens later.

I want players to be able to look back later and think:

"Oh... that's why that happened."

rather than:

"Wait, where did that come from?" 😅

This is taking some extra time, but I think it will make a noticeable difference to the overall experience, especially as the mystery and paranormal elements become more important in the later chapters.

Well… this was supposed to be a short dev report, but it seems it took off a bit. 😄

I hope you’re satisfied with everything I shared, and as always, please let me know in the comments if there’s anything else you’d like to see - or anything you don’t want to see - in I Have Known You.

Thank you as always for your patience and support. ❤️

More previews and updates soon!
