Chapter 1: The Interrupted Secret (Lust.. Breaking the Boundary) (Part8)
Sid’s face fell, a flicker of hurt in his eyes. “Aunty, come on, don’t rub salt in the wound, and i may not have experience in romance or in that other thing but i do have knowledge..” he said, his voice tinged with a playful pout. Sona’s lips twitched, amusement and empathy softening her gaze. “Alright, alright,” she conceded, sinking back into the couch with a teasing smile. “Let’s hear it, then. What’s your big solution to my very grown-up problem, Mr. Advisor?”
Sid leaned back slightly, thinking.
“For starters…” he said carefully. “Sometimes intimacy fades because life becomes routine. Maybe you both need to do things that remind you why you chose each other in the first place.”
Sona listened quietly.
“You could try something creative together — painting, pottery, even a small weekend workshop. Or simple things… a picnic, watching a romantic movie without phones around, a short vacation somewhere beautiful. A change of environment can reset people.” He gave a small, almost embarrassed smile. “I’ve seen it work in movies… read about it in books. It’s cliché, maybe. But clichés exist for a reason.”
Sona sighed softly. “been there done that.. Raj is a workaholic. Getting him to slow down for something like that won’t be easy.”
Sid nodded, not dismissing her concern. “It might be hard. But maybe if you present it as something small first… not a big emotional conversation. Just an invitation.”
She considered that. “ I’ll ask him, again” she murmured. “Let’s see what he says this time...”
There was a brief pause.
Then Sid cleared his throat.
“And… about the bedroom spark…”
Sid paused, his fingers drumming nervously on his knee as he gathered his thoughts. His mind sifted through the countless videos he’d watched, trying to distill something useful without sounding like a know-it-all. “Okay, before I start throwing out ideas,” he said, his voice tentative but hopeful, “can I ask you some personal stuff? Just to, you know, get a clearer picture of what’s going on?” His eyes flicked to hers, searching for permission, his heart pounding at the boldness of his request.

Sona hesitated, her gaze tracing the earnest lines of Sid’s face. His sincerity tugged at her, stirring a warmth she hadn’t expected. She took a slow, steadying breath, then nodded. “Okay, Sid. You can ask your questions,” she said, her voice soft but firm. “But if anything feels too much, I’m not answering. Deal?” Her eyes held his, a quiet boundary set, but her tone carried a trust that made his chest swell.
Sid’s eyes brightened, a spark of determination in them as he nodded. “Deal,” he said, his voice firm despite the nervous flutter in his stomach. “And, Aunty, from now on, think of me as a friend, okay? No awkwardness, no shyness—just us talking, yeah?” He offered a small, reassuring smile, hoping to ease the tension between them.
Sona studied him, her mind weighing his offer. His sincerity was disarming, and she felt the walls around her heart soften. “Okay,” she said with a sigh, her voice barely above a whisper. Sid leaned in, his voice catching slightly. “So, Aunty… when did you first notice the, uh, you know the intimacy is not like what it used to be?” He stumbled over the words, his cheeks flushing, but his determination to help shone through, a quiet resolve in his gaze.
“It’s been years, Sid,” Sona admitted, her gaze drifting to a far-off memory, her voice heavy with quiet pain. “But lately… it’s like this void has grown, swallowing everything. I feel it more than ever, and I don’t know how to fix it.” Her hand trembled as she lifted the glass to her lips, the water catching the light as it shook slightly, mirroring the tremor in her heart.
Sid leaned closer, his eyes alight with a mix of curiosity and determination. “Have you and Uncle Raj ever tried… spicing things up?” The question hung between them, charged with a bold curiosity that belied his inexperience, drawn from countless hours of studying seduction through a glowing screen.
